The hotel is next to the lake, which is very suitable for watching the aurora at the door of the hotel. Unfortunately, the clouds were too thick on the day of check-in and we couldn't see the aurora. The hotel has glass houses and cabins. The glass houses look very simple and have low cost performance. You must book all kinds of snow sports in advance, otherwise you will not be able to book them. I played all the way for 6 days, one city every day, thinking about going there and booking all the activities for the next day. In the last 6 days, I didn’t play a single activity. We stayed in glass igloo it was tiny but very comfortable. We booked directly from their website and the details were well explained. It was cheaper to book directly. Our host Tony gave us a very warm welcome. He explained everything about the entire place like things to do and explore around. He was very kind, helpful and knowledgeable. We would definitely stay here again the next time we are back. The chances of seeing the aurora and very highly. I highly recommend this place if anyone is visiting kiruna. Thank you for hosting us Tony. Hope to see you soon.

Superb experience in glass igloos. Could watch auroras all night and take pictures on the deck. Tony did an amazing job. He also located transportation for us to the Tree Hotel. High recommend. Beautiful views. Cooked in a beautiful kitchen and over tipi fire.

Océane était super , elle nous a donné beaucoup de conseils très utiles rendant notre séjour facile et nous avons profité au max. Igloo glass génial à couper le souffle eco responsable, très bien positionné pour voir les aurores boréales, hélas nous n’avons pas eu la chance ce soir. A l’accueil Nick était très serviable et de bonne aide bref : fantastique

We stayed in a glass igloo. It was expensive, but not as expensive as the Ice Hotel on the other side of the river. There's a tiny loo in the pod, but your knees hit the wall while sitting there doing your thing. Hot showers in a separate building.
Even though it was a clear night (-32C), we didn't see the Aurora - but that's not Aurora River Camp's fault!

We found Aurora River Camp a magical place to stay in a winter wonderland. Staying in the glass Igloo facing the frozen Torne River was a lifetime experience for us. We were surprised at how well-designed and high-tech the igloo was with touchscreen controls for everything and more than sufficient amenities, while overlooking the white snowfield all around. It was amazing to find the different lights, the hot plate, enough utensils, a freezer, a running water wash basin, and personal Wifi inside the igloo. Once inside, we never felt that the outside temperature was -25C with the heating controlled by a touchscreen thermostat. The facilities at the common house for breakfast were more than adequate and the both-way transfer was the icing on the cake. Adventurous people could even easily walk over the frozen Torne River to check out the Ice Hotel across.
