The beach outside the hotel is quite photogenic, but you have to walk about 100 meters to swim. It is relatively quiet with few people and the waves are not big, so you can swim without worrying about it. The hotel does not provide toothpaste and toothbrushes. The breakfast is not very varied, but it is quite exquisite.

Nice room and decent hotel. Breakfast looks better than it tastes. The warm daily dishes are disappointing and there is absence of good Thai food. The bread, deli meat, cheeses, bread and salad choices are fine. Eggs and waffles are made to order and they are fine. Restaurant is not air conditioned and has small fans which add very little ventilation. Had issues twice with air conditioning and tub. Maid kept room very clean and made towels into pretty shapes along with flowers on bed.
Made mistake of coming in May and it was miserably hot and most chairs are not shielded from the sun. The beach although beautiful is very narrow and filled with large rocks and coral so not good for walking or swimming. Had to walk down beach to find a better beach area but it lacked shade.
If you can get the room without the 300 baht each normal charge I would suggest it. We had one day nearby in a cheaper hotel because we arrived late. Problem we had in May is there very few breakfast choices near either hotel. Very few street food vendors and mainly overpriced western food. Took several days to find good Thai food. I would recommend Koh Kood if you are alone. Better beaches and cheaper foods

A hotel for a relaxing holiday for adults. For those who want to step away from unnecessary fuss. Good breakfasts. Purely. Friendly and helpful staff. The sea is not pleasant: the abundance of stones does not allow you to enter the water normally, but you can swim within walking distance on the right side of the beach. There are a lot of cafes and shops right outside the hotel gates. Not all hotels on Koh Chang can boast of this.

Great stay at Koh Chang. I like everything there especially the two swimming pools, they were not crowded and with 1.4m deep i could truly swim in the infinity pool. Staff were friendly for arranging everything for me. I would definitely go back, koh chang is not regarded as big upto phuket scale but good enough to get away hustling life. It would be even better if the beach is larger.

We hebben hier heerlijk ontspannen verbleven. Wij hadden een villa met privé zwembad geboekt. Heerlijk! Hoewel het zwembad te klein is om echt in te zwemmen wat ik jammer vond, was het heerlijk om in af te koelen of met je luchtbedje in te verblijven. Het huisje was leuk ingericht, het bed heel goed en de airco functioneerde ook heel goed. De huisjes met eigen zwembad waren met een schutting afgeschermd waardoor veel privacy. Het resort heeft allemaal houten huisjes die aan stijgers liggen, ziet er mooi uit. Er is een buiten restaurant die we alleen voor ontbijt gebruikt hebben maar waar je ook kan lunchen en dineren. Het ontbijt was voor een vier sterren hotel niet erg uitgebreid. Vers gebakken brood, maar geen broodjes, croissantjes etc en erg beperkte keuze in beleg. Wel yoghurt en vers fruit en je kon wafels vers klaar laten maken. Tevens Thaise keuzes maar ik hou niet van warm eten als ontbijt dus dat moet je aanspreken. Wel werd elke ochtend een eigerecht naar wens klaargemaakt. Ondank de beperkte keuze in ontbijt heb ik prima ontbeten en zou me dat niet tegen houden nog een keer te gaan. Verder is een sunset bar aanwezig, maar die is maar heel kort per dag open. Dat is een gemiste kans. Het resort is aan zee gelegen en er zijn ligweides met zonnebedjes. De zee zelf was slecht toegankelijk. Een heel dun strookje strand een meter lager dan de ligweide en waar je als je minder goed ter been bent niet zomaar naar beneden kan om de zee in te lopen. Strandwandelingen vanuit het hotel zijn dan ook niet mogelijk. Dit had ik graag geweten voor we hadden geboekt. Er zijn twee grote zwembaden aanwezig waarvan 1 voor only adults. De liggen van het resort is centraal in Kai bae Beach en was perfect. Het ligt aan de drukke straat met restaurants, winkeltjes, barretjes en massagesalons, maar daar merkte je in het resort niks van. Ondanks de genoemde minpunten zouden we bij een nieuw verblijf op Ko Chang hier zeker terug komen.
