"The hotel is a bit dated but very cozy. We stayed in a budget bungalow and were perfectly content with everything. It felt like a charming village retreat. There's plenty of wildlife around. Be careful of the cheeky monkeys, though! Nature in all its glory! The sea was amazing, and so was the pool."

"Awa Resort in Koh Chang is one of the most stylish and relaxing places to stay on the island. The design is beautiful — a mix of modern minimalism and Thai touches — with white stone walls, dark wood details, and an infinity pool that overlooks the sea. The whole place has a calm, luxurious vibe without being too fancy or pretentious. Rooms: Spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. Most rooms have balconies with either pool or sea views, and the beds are very comfortable. The bathrooms are large with rain showers and good water pressure. Pool & Beach: The infinity pool is the highlight — perfect for sunsets. The beach directly in front of the resort isn’t ideal for swimming (a bit rocky), but it’s great for walking and photos. There are sandy beaches within a short walk. Food & Breakfast: The breakfast buffet is excellent — a good mix of Western and Asian options, fresh fruit, and great coffee. The restaurant by the sea also serves good Thai dishes, though a bit pricier than local spots nearby. Location: It’s in Kai Bae, a perfect middle point on the island — quiet enough for relaxation but close to restaurants, shops, and scooter rentals. Service: Friendly and professional staff, always smiling and ready to help. The check-in process is smooth and welcoming. Overall: Awa Resort is perfect for couples or anyone looking to unwind in style. It’s not the cheapest option on Koh Chang, but the design, comfort, and atmosphere make it well worth it."

"I traveled here with 2 old people and I'll give review from this specific perspective. We loved Sylvan's service — we always got a golf car to move around their huge area, breakfast was always welcomed with wide smiles, and taxi to the city was also organised quickly. Our room was quite and we didn't have neighbours. Facilities were amazing and we only had a minor problem with a sink (cleaners made a temporary fix and explained someone is a bit broken). Sea is clean. They provide kayaks for 200b for 2, and it was fun to research a nearby island. As for significant problems, Sylvan is far from the town. We had to take expensive taxis and it costed us 100b for one person to get to the nearest grocery and back. They have restaurants and cafes in Sylvan but their fried fish costs 700b while town's price will be twice lower. Although, they provide free taxi to the town and back, time slots are inconvinient and there's none after 4 pm. I understand that it wouldn't be possible to build this big complex closer to the town but maybe letting residents to go for a dinner with the free taxi would make us consider this the best option we could have."

"We have stayed at the KC several times and find it a good comfortable hotel. Location is good and staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good. Surrounding local Thai restaurants worth visiting and travel/motorbike hire opposite very helpful and good values"

"micro 4 nights holiday away from my Thai888 Law Office in Pattaya I cannot complain about anything the room was the biggest most modern on all of my vacations on the beach. The colours and thoughtful design was a real treat and calming and soothing. Set amongs a very well kept designed garden was a treat to walk through each day Breakfast was full on and changed each day. Coffee machines despensed excellent latte or shots or tea Its a great beach and from end to end i did it in 45 mins unless i was destracted There are other bars around if you need to change Very quiet and blockout curtains in the room A big aircon and it was efficent There is a very nice bathroom and all things there including robes/toiletries/ and a huge bath THank you and we shall return"

Lezhkov is not necessary to take from 5 a.m. what to get to you 🥲 And the water in the soul is a tragedy - either boiling or ice , here you stand and switch there( Breakfasts are modest But we went only for the sake of the sea and the exit from the hotel directly to the sand! On this hotel approached the urah 🎉 Thank you 😉"

"Nice room and decent hotel. Breakfast looks better than it tastes. The warm daily dishes are disappointing and there is absence of good Thai food. The bread, deli meat, cheeses, bread and salad choices are fine. Eggs and waffles are made to order and they are fine. Restaurant is not air conditioned and has small fans which add very little ventilation. Had issues twice with air conditioning and tub. Maid kept room very clean and made towels into pretty shapes along with flowers on bed. Made mistake of coming in May and it was miserably hot and most chairs are not shielded from the sun. The beach although beautiful is very narrow and filled with large rocks and coral so not good for walking or swimming. Had to walk down beach to find a better beach area but it lacked shade. If you can get the room without the 300 baht each normal charge I would suggest it. We had one day nearby in a cheaper hotel because we arrived late. Problem we had in May is there very few breakfast choices near either hotel. Very few street food vendors and mainly overpriced western food. Took several days to find good Thai food. I would recommend Koh Kood if you are alone. Better beaches and cheaper foods"

"The place is really really nice has a beautiful spot for sunset. Amazing cocktail amd they have 1h of happy hour. My room had sea view. A scooter is needed. The Lamps in the room were brocken tho."
