Amazing
GGuest UserIt is an ideal place to relax. The amenities are good with a playroom containing a full-size snooker table,
table tennis, pool table and air hockey game.
The beaches are not particularly good but there is a decent swimming pool. There is a restaurant with both Thai and western food.
Rooms are large, clean, and comfortable
It is great for families and couples wishing some relaxing downtime.

Amazing hotel - would highly recommend staying here.
We stayed at serenity resort for 2 nights on arriving at Koh Chang from Bangkok. The location is so so idyllic and relaxing, absolutely beautiful. We also stayed on the west side of the island for a couple of nights and while it is quieter on the east side of the island (ie, there is no point in leaving the resort in the evening as there is nothing really to do on the east side after dark) this is exactly what we were after.
The staff could not be more helpful and accommodating. Food and drinks at the restaurant were great and reasonably priced. Very clean and comfortable accommodation. Lovely view.
As other reviews have said, if you are staying here you will likely want your own transport so you can explore. We rented a moped from the resort at a very reasonable price. If you want to rent a car make sure you have an intl driving permit (takes a few mins to obtain but must do whilst in the UK). There’s barely any traffic on this side of the island so the drive down to long beach at the south of the island felt very safe on a moped despite the hills (and would be the same in a car). The resort staff recommended us to do this and then get kayaks over to Koh ngam, which we did and was a great experience!
The other option is to rent a taxi for a day (we were quoted c2500 baht for 6 hours) and they can drop you wherever you like and wait for you.

EemaxiaoaimaI had an amazing stay here and can’t recommend it enough! The staff truly made the experience unforgettable from the kindest manager to the welcoming reception team and the wonderful breakfast staff. Everyone went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The cleaning staff also deserve a huge thank you they were the most caring and hardworking I’ve ever encountered, keeping everything spotless with such dedication.
The resort itself is stunning, surrounded by lush greenery with beautifully designed rooms and inviting facilities. There are activities happening all day, an excellent beach bar, and always something going on, which made it so lively and fun. Honestly, it was hard to leave the resort to go explore the island because there was always something to enjoy right here.
Breakfast was a real highlight 10/10 for both the food and the service. Starting each day with such a delicious spread and warm smiles was perfect.
Overall, this resort combines a beautiful setting with outstanding hospitality. It’s the kind of place that stays with you long after you leave. I can’t wait to come back!

RRonnie WayneNice room and decent hotel. Breakfast looks better than it tastes. The warm daily dishes are disappointing and there is absence of good Thai food. The bread, deli meat, cheeses, bread and salad choices are fine. Eggs and waffles are made to order and they are fine. Restaurant is not air conditioned and has small fans which add very little ventilation. Had issues twice with air conditioning and tub. Maid kept room very clean and made towels into pretty shapes along with flowers on bed.
Made mistake of coming in May and it was miserably hot and most chairs are not shielded from the sun. The beach although beautiful is very narrow and filled with large rocks and coral so not good for walking or swimming. Had to walk down beach to find a better beach area but it lacked shade.
If you can get the room without the 300 baht each normal charge I would suggest it. We had one day nearby in a cheaper hotel because we arrived late. Problem we had in May is there very few breakfast choices near either hotel. Very few street food vendors and mainly overpriced western food. Took several days to find good Thai food. I would recommend Koh Kood if you are alone. Better beaches and cheaper foods

TTan93Definitely a perfect place for hideaway. Stayed at the garden villa with private jacuzzi, have the river +sea view from the villa.
The resort is by the river and not far away from the beach. We can ride the boat provided by the hotel to the beach for free. Kayaking is available at THB 150 per hour and it’s quite fun. Location wise, there’s no 7-11 or any convenient shops within walking distance but all reachable with a motorbike, which is rentable at the lobby of the resort. The staffs are very friendly and helpful, will definitely come back!

PpartyonGreat hotel. Big, clean rooms, good aircon, decent wifi, and really nice balcony (though could use better furniture). Standard Thai bed, but more comfortable than others. The pool is bigger than it seems and clean; of course it is right by the road, but it's not too bothersome. The staff doesn't speak a word of english, and are not the most helpful, but the older ladies sass is charming in a way. The only issue was the noise from walking street right across the road, 1 of the 3 nights, the music was super loud until 3am. And by super loud, I mean I'm 30's stay up late partying all the time - it takes a lot for me to say that, and it was still crazy loud. Luckily I had earplugs, but could still feel the music through the bass. The other 2 nights, the music was toned down around midnight. There is a laundry place 50m away. No close walkable 7/11 unfortunately, but a 2 min drive. Check out the restaurant called โชคดีซีฟู้ด (copy and paste that to google maps) near Chokdee Resort, it's out on the water on stilts and had a nice vibe, great for sunset and not too expensive.

PPanusorn SrisukI recently stayed in a pool villa at this hotel, and while the overall experience was okay, there were some issues. The villa itself was spacious and nice, but it felt a bit old and in need of maintenance.
One major downside was the jacuzzi, which had a bubble function that wasn’t working. The shower was also frustrating, as the water heater didn’t function properly, giving only very hot or very cold water with no in-between. On the second day, we faced low water pressure, and the heater stopped working altogether. Despite informing the staff in the late morning and returning in the afternoon, the problem was still not fixed. It seemed like the front desk and the maintenance team didn’t communicate well, which was disappointing.
As for the breakfast, it was just okay—nothing special but decent enough.
That said, one good point is that the price is reasonable compared to other hotels on the island. If they can improve their maintenance and service, this place could be a much better choice.
