"The hotel is just a fairy tale! We lived on the 2nd floor, a villa. Everything is done so beautifully, lots of molding, a wonderful shower room, lots of greenery. Beautiful pool. Breakfasts are excellent. The hotel is located on the best beach on the island! In the evenings there is a fire show, shops, cafes, pharmacies are within walking distance. Special thanks to the staff! If Koh Chang, then only this atmospheric hotel."

"Very good , good big room , lots of things to do , great price at time of booking considering what has to offer compared to other places in the area , good breakfast not the best I save that for star convention in rayong .. Overall considering we on am island at the mercy of controlled prices was as a fair deal , stay again in a couple of days .."

"We loved everything, and the main criteria when looking for a hotel was walking distance to a good beach and a room as close to the sea as possible. So, we were very pleased! The biggest advantage of this hotel is its location on what we consider to be the best beach on Koh Chang. For this, we can forgive its other shortcomings. The main drawback is the distance from cafes, shops, etc. You have to walk about 15 minutes along the beach. Also, the monkeys that wandered the hotel grounds every day in search of food were a bit of a nuisance. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast; it wasn't anything special, but we didn't leave hungry. The rooms close to the beach are all renovated and fresh. Overall, we recommend it! We'll definitely be back 😊"

"Rooms are clean and big. Check in as check out is smooth. The bar and restaurant looks new. The rooms seems to be renoveted. But the suroundings need attention. Some parts of the wooden floor on the restaurant where shaking as we walked over it. The bathroom is updated but shower was was weak pressure and the Shower head need to be cleaned. The restaurant food was, amazing good en fair priced. Staff is helpful and friendly. Most customers where young guests and the bar near our room was a bit loud. After all it was a plus. But loved more our stay at Bang Bao, it was more peacefully and natural . We're an older couple 🙏🇹🇭"

"The hotel's location is decent, with a 7/11, cafes, restaurants, and everything a tourist could need within easy reach. Unfortunately, we weren't thrilled or even satisfied with our stay. We stayed in budget rooms. Our room had very poor lighting; the small, frosted windows let in minimal natural light, and the artificial lighting within the room was also extremely dim. Overall, the room didn't feel cozy at all; it was like living in a cave. Perhaps this was due to the low season, but it felt like the hotel was in a semi-abandoned state; the pool's jacuzzi and fountains weren't working at all, and the grounds were poorly maintained. For about 3-4 days, what we presumed to be monkey droppings lay in the chill-out area near the budget rooms, and no one bothered to clean them up 🙃. The hotel staff themselves were nice and very friendly; we had no issues with them. The problem, we believe, lies with the higher management, who seem to have neglected the entire hotel. It's also important to note that the hotel is virtually integrated into the jungle, resulting in a lot of wildlife, including monkeys, on the grounds."

"The address on Ctrip is wrong! It's wrong! Give Ctrip a bad review! I used this address for navigation and went to the wrong place, kc! Just enter its English name on Google. The room is actually very shabby, and the guest room is still upgraded, with a sea view room. Then there is a strong musty smell, just like a hotel I stayed in Shengsi before, but that hotel in China is 1500, and it also has a private beach but no breakfast. The location here is amazing, with its own beach and swimming pool, but the room smells musty and not very clean. The air conditioning is also relatively poor, and the bedding is also relatively worn out. The breakfast is okay, very mediocre, but at least there is milk. The Giraffe Hotel in China costs 1500 a night, and there is no milk in the morning. In short, around 300, it is super value! Forget about pursuing quality, but pursue cost-effectiveness, it is not too bad. It is clean, but it is old, the house by the sea is damp, and there is a strong musty smell. Worth it."

"The hotel is in a central location and the staff are very friendly. The room itself is a bit dated and could do with more lighting in the main room but the bathroom has plenty of lights. The shower pressure isn’t the best but is hot. The bath in the bathroom could be replaced but we didn’t use it anyway I perfer a shower. Towels replaced everyday and room also cleaned everyday. The swimming pool is big but not many sun beds around the pool but there is plenty on the beach area they have below the pool. The breakfast is good and plenty of choice."

"My wife and I just spent 8 nights at Sylvan Koh Chang. Our feedback is generally positive, although there are sone glitches. The resort is generally filled with beautiful vegetation andoffering spectacular sunset views, is very clean. Our room was very luxurious and perfectly cleaned each day. The balcony in our room was occasionally invaded by monkeys. The breakfast buffet is well-supplied, althogh it gets quite crowded between 8-9 am. Unfortunately the hotel has only one restaurant open from 11 am on. The food is quite good, but service uneven. The beach is well-maintained, but the descent into the water may be challenging, especially for older people such us ourselves. In conclusion, I would rate the resort less than 5*, more like 4.2*."

"We loved this hotel and after travelling around and speaking to others I definitely think this is one of the best resorts on the island. Pros: + The staff! They are so lovely and made our stay more enjoyable. + The rooms are great with a small balcony. + The pool area! We loved dipping in and out of the pool, and the Jacuzzi! + Food was nice + you can hire bikes (mopeds) from the hotel + price + The grounds are beautiful + The hotel will help with Taxis etc Cons: - The nearest 7-11 etc is over 20 mins walk - There were lots of ants round the pool area … we found out there was an infestation this year (not just on this island). It would be great if staff could go around spraying the area. I am not sure if they did. We are regularly at a small independently owned place called Sapporat’s, owned by Deano and his wife ***. You do have to wait a while for your food (because *** is the only one cooking) but it’s so worth it! Great home cooked food and a lovely atmosphere looking over the river. It’s only a 5 minute walk away from the hotel. We were also recommend a cooking class by Deano and his wife … with Bonnie. It was amazing. We started at 9:30am and didn’t finish until 2pm. You eat at the class and can even take your curry back with you. You also can choose from a selection of dishes, you don’t have to make the same as everyone else!"

"Amazing hotel with friendly staff and beautiful territory! My son and I stayed here for 6 days and everything was wonderful — spacious clean rooms, delicious coffee in the room every day, and a huge luxurious pool (there are two more on the property, but this one was more than enough for us). The breakfasts were very tasty and diverse! I especially want to thank your staff members Sa and Hand — without them, our vacation would have been much less fun! They are absolute superheroes: every day they organized different activities and played with my son Sasha, even when it wasn’t part of their responsibilities. We had beach football, Thai boxing, an art workshop, and more. Sa and Hand, thank you for your kindness and positivity — I wish you all the best! It was also such a lovely surprise to receive birthday wishes from the whole team, even though I wasn’t expecting it. The beach and sunsets are stunning — honestly, there’s no such thing as a “low season” here. Thailand is beautiful at any time of year! I came prepared for constant rain and no sun, thinking I’d just enjoy some solitude without the crowds — but in reality, we had sunshine and great weather every single day. Thank you so much! I truly hope to come back again!"
