As the most expensive hotel on the island, it definitely doesn't offer great value for money. The facilities are decent enough, but the pool water quality was absolutely terrible. After swimming, I felt itchy all over, and my eyes were irritated.

I don't understand why this hotel has so many good reviews, but I want to write honestly, as someone who has worked in tourism for 20 years and seen a lot. The hotel definitely doesn't live up to its category. The biggest downsides are: there's no sea, the tide is very low every day, so you definitely can't swim here, and the knee-deep water that comes in in the afternoon smells like fish, and even while you're sitting at breakfast, there's a very unpleasant fish smell. But if you want, there's a shuttle that takes you to a good beach several times a day. The pool is dirty with green water; I was snorkeling, and there were tons of hair and sand at the bottom. The water doesn't circulate. In the morning, they pour two buckets of chlorine to disinfect the pool, and then it turns blue for a short while. The hotel rooms are large and comfortable, but tired. The tiles and plumbing need replacing. There were a lot of ants and cockroaches in the room. When we reported them, a worker came to exterminate them and treat them with ant repellent. On the plus side, the room has a large TV with YouTube access, a refrigerator, a tea station, a comfortable bed, and daily cleaning and towel changes. Peacocks roam the grounds (but that's not the main reason to come here). Breakfast is modest; there's a coffee machine with real coffee, pancakes, omelets like everywhere else, sausages and ham, and fruit. There were no yogurts or cheeses, and the juices were watered down. A lot of the equipment in the gym is broken. It depends on your preference, but for me, the sea and pool are key features in a place like this, so I wouldn't go back. There are plenty of cheaper and better options on the coast.

Elena ShulWe stayed at the hotel from May 15th to 19th, one adult and two children, aged 13 and 11. We booked a Deluxe room on the hillside. Upon check-in, we were given a room in the building across the road from the reception. I assume they upgraded us for free due to the low occupancy.
We had only positive impressions of the room, as well as the hotel itself. At check-in, we received vouchers for three free drinks from the hotel, which was a nice touch.
The breakfasts were excellent, with a sea view. There was a huge selection, lots of pastries, and a variety of hot dishes.
Most guests swam in the pool by the sea. We preferred the pool across the road; it was always empty and had a slide for the kids, as well as entertainment by the pool, including a trampoline.
The hotel's location is great, with food stalls setting up near the hotel after 4 PM.
The hotel staff were very welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere was very pleasant, and our overall impressions were only positive.

Guest UserNice room and decent hotel. Breakfast looks better than it tastes. The warm daily dishes are disappointing and there is absence of good Thai food. The bread, deli meat, cheeses, bread and salad choices are fine. Eggs and waffles are made to order and they are fine. Restaurant is not air conditioned and has small fans which add very little ventilation. Had issues twice with air conditioning and tub. Maid kept room very clean and made towels into pretty shapes along with flowers on bed.
Made mistake of coming in May and it was miserably hot and most chairs are not shielded from the sun. The beach although beautiful is very narrow and filled with large rocks and coral so not good for walking or swimming. Had to walk down beach to find a better beach area but it lacked shade.
If you can get the room without the 300 baht each normal charge I would suggest it. We had one day nearby in a cheaper hotel because we arrived late. Problem we had in May is there very few breakfast choices near either hotel. Very few street food vendors and mainly overpriced western food. Took several days to find good Thai food. I would recommend Koh Kood if you are alone. Better beaches and cheaper foods

Anonymous UserThe overall experience was alright, but the facilities need some care. The water park is old and some of the slides are breaking down, they don’t look safe. The hotel is divided in two areas, one across the road and one by the beach. If you are staying across the road you can’t use the pool from the beach side, which is a bummer and a big downside. Would check other places first.

Guest UserIt was our third stay at Annika, and it was as great as always. The breakfast was decent, the room was quiet with a lovely garden view, the shuttle service to the beach was efficient, and the staff were friendly. The renovation work in a neighboring room was a bit noisy, though overall we had a very good experience. I would recommend this place for couples.

Pros: The service was incredibly friendly! The man at reception spoke excellent English, which is quite rare in this area. The location is also lovely, close to the beach and with lots of shops and restaurants right next door.
Cons: The open bathroom. The shower is behind the door, next to the sink – everything gets wet. And I mean absolutely everything.

Nalinthip SansupanThe staff were all smiling and very service-minded. The rooms were clean and the food was decent. There was even a fire show at night. Overall, it was great and I was very impressed with the service. In the evenings, there was food available at the hotel restaurant, and the staff were very attentive. When it rained, they constantly helped move the food. I was very impressed. There were even entertainers to welcome guests, and the cats were adorable!

YUYANGThe hotel is the same as in the photos, lovely newly refurnished pool area, beach right in front of the hotel is absolutely a bonus.
However, I have to complaint on the awful service Trip.com provided. I booked a simple thai double room. However, The room I checked in is completely different to the photos Trip.com provided. It's absolutely a cheat. Basically, the photos shown on Trip.com for simple thai, is actually a Local Thai room, which's a newly refurbished room. However, Just be aware that the Simple Thai is the old room. (Please refer to the photo I uploaded for the Local Thai room)
During my stay, I have tried all the means I could to get in touch with Trip.com and try to resolve the issue. But they didn't meet their promise to change my room neither, and it's totally a ridiculous experience with Trip.com customer service.

HUMINThe hotel did not include breakfast, the hotel looked very stylish, the room was okay, the location was good, there was a lot of food around, but the hotel room had mold and odor, and there was a serious mold odor when we entered the room. It's the same for both rooms, and then requesting another room is the same. The order cannot be cancelled, so it can only be sent for one night.
