Over all are very good experience. Room was clean and tidy, value for money. Ideal location, near seafood eateries. The breakfast buffet spread is excellent. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

An excellent stay again. Reception are friendly and helpful. Room are extremely Clean. I love my room. Important thing is this hotel room toilet using WATER SPRAY (MUSLIM FRIENDLY). This hotel is attached to shopping mall. Convenient. Many eateries too. Breakfast have many choices to fill your empty stomach. This restaurant coffee are excellent. ONE IMPROVEMENT NEEDED : Hope they will consider serving fruits too during breakfast.

I was glad I have made the right decision to stay here. Wad here for Mt Kinabalu climb. I checked out and store my luggage here for the climb and came back the next day. Also worth mentioning was the Italian restaurant downstairs, Little Italy, was quite popular among the locals.

This is the first and the last time we check in this Inn. Obviously can hear loud noise from outside from the room. Staffs voice are horrendously loud, howling laughing like no body business when it's already late at night. Played loud music until late night. Room are not sound proof, you can practically hear people conversation from outside and people walking around upstairs. Unless you can bear with all these by all means you can check in here.

Very disappointed..I don't know why you staff say the remote tv gone.!!!!then I loose my deposit RM50,,,for those bastard staff,,if U want took d RM50,just let me know and don't claim or charged me like a thief to stole U remote tv... Upon my recent visit to the Klagan Hotel, I was met with an experience that truly exceeded my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was enveloped in a sense of serenity and luxury that lasted throughout my stay.

When we arrived, you have to carry your own luggage. The staff is not really friendly, especially when i ask for the iron and the iron board is not enough, i have to iron the clothes on the bed. The room also not clean, the toilet door is dirty. We had our dinner at souq garden and ordered lamb shank, but the lamb shank is slimy. Luckily the staff there change the food with the new one, and my husband gave it to the security guard, hopefully it is nice to eat. We don't the food want but they insist to change. But the hotel is nice decorated and smell. The breakfast also all good, but the chef put wrong label for the food, pineapple cake but they label with bread pudding and vanilla sauce. Overall is fine if you are not cerewet, but on my opinion me they have to improve so many aspects. Idk, thats why the hotel entitled 3 star.

This is the first complaint review I leave while living in Kota Kinabalu for the past eight years. I booked for a sleepover party I made to celebrate the 16th birthday of my beloved daughter and friends. The connecting room, birthday decoration, and extra bed that the hotel specifically requested were not prepared, and above all, the smell of mold from the room was shocking. I am an asthmatic. I couldn't complain in front of happy children, so I had a terrible night. When I woke up in the morning, the children also had a hard time with the smell of mold. I felt sorry and ashamed to my daughter and friends. I talked to the staff about the situations while checking out, and they told me to leave a review. Room numbers 7331 and 7332 must be checked.

Another inconvenience was the lack of dedicated parking facilities at the hotel. This meant that my husband had to purchase parking coupons daily, adding an unexpected expense to our stay. Moreover, the strict enforcement of parking regulations by 8 am posed a challenge, especially for guests who preferred to start their day later. In conclusion, Mercure Kota Kinabalu is a decent choice for a short stay, offering comfortable accommodations and friendly service. However, potential guests should be aware of potential discrepancies in room assignments and the absence of on-site parking facilities, which may affect the overall convenience and cost of their stay.
