Pullman Kuching

The location is perfect. Excellent and cheap seafood center is a walking distance away. The food at the hotel and the nearby Hills food court are not that tasty. The room is average and the wall need painting. I understand that the hotel is undergoing renovation at the moment and hopefully it can be better after it completes. Staffs are excellent with their services.

When we arrived at the hotel we saw signs saying the swimming pool and other facilities were closed and under construction. Nothing about this was mentioned when booking online. We specifically asked at the desk if they had any arrangements for a swimming pool, one of the major reasons we booked the hotel. We spoke with two different people on the night we arrived and three different people the second day. We spoke with them using BOTH English and Chinese, So we know that the workers understood us. We were told the pool was closed, sorry. Just as we checked out it was raining so I asked to sign out an umbrella. In the log book we saw that they had been giving pool towels to people. They said they've been sending customers to a different hotel to use their pool. We had just been lied to by the staff the entire time. The water pressure in the room was insufficient to use the bathtub. Although on the map the hotel is located in a very good area but due to the design of the roads and the sidewalks it is very difficult to get around. One of the cleaning people knocked on our door every 5 to 10 minutes about coming in to clean the room. We told them to come back later in the day. Instead they knocked on our door more than 10 times each day. The second day we told them just leave towels. They again came and knocked on our door six times. The children couldn't get good rest and felt scared. There was one good thing about the hotel, the quality and diversity of their breakfast was good. The amenities are good, and the hotel has a bright, welcoming atmosphere. The location is convenient as well. Breakfast offers a good selection, though the porridge could be improved, as it tends to be a bit cold despite some steam. Additionally, replenishing the condiments could be quicker to ensure they’re available when needed.
