Lovely house in central Kyoto, easy and convenient to get around to other parts of the city by bus or train. Very clean and atmospheric, floor heating, ACs, water temperature control. Mind you this is a traditional house so taller people beware, you are going to have to practice some ducking. The nearby environment was very lovely and quiet with some caffès, food places and shops all within 10-20 mins walking distance. Definitely recommend this place and other properties under the same name if you prefer this kind of stay to a traditional hotel.

Amazing stay! Super friendly staff, Tippy was especially helpful. Very ethnically diverse staff with good English. Breakfast was superb. Half buffet style, beautifully served unlimited main courses with lots of varieties to choose from. The bar has an amazing ambient. Everything is clean and tidy, modern and stylish. Amazing bathtub and shower design. Would 100% stay there again!!

Overall, it was a great value for money! We took the Balcony room, advertised to accommodate 5 people there were 4 of us who stayed. The room was very spacious and was pleasantly surprised by how good the place was! Check-In Experience: There was a little bit of walk from the Kyoto station, but short enough for our moms (who are seniors) to do it with no issues. You'd have to research in advance if you have no internet to guide you to the reception. Service: The staff can speak good English that allowed us to get answers with any of our questions. The property also had an app where you can reach out to them 24/7. One of the staff even accompanied us to get a cab and made sure the driver is clear where we were going, I thought that was not a need but she did it anyway-- we appreciate the concern and great service! Amenities: They've clearly set expectations on their communication on what to expect, they have a complete guidebook on how to use the facilities in the room which was handy. They had provided everything as promised. Everything was in place and clean. Location: It's quite a walk from Kyoto station, but very accessible via taxi. Its not expensive fare but you might want to factor in that there are about 15 mins walk from the Kyoto station which can be a bit much if you're traveling with seniors (which was our case). Places of interest are accessible enough from the hotel's location.

The hotel is very comfortable, clean and the aesthetic is very nice with a beautiful entrance and Japanese style rooms. The onsen is also lovely, a decent size and great to relax in after a day of walking around Kyoto. The basic room has everything you need although they are quite small. If you are travelling with large suitcases they will take up most of the spare space in the room. In terms of location the hotel is about 10min walk from the main station and 8min from the closest metro stop. There is a fantastic ramen shop on the same street which gets long queues but is definitely worth the wait. There is a ‘tourism tax’ which you have to pay upon arrival - about 7€ per person. Overall the hotel was very nice and I would recommend staying there.

I stayed for one night and felt pretty good. The sanitary environment in the hotel was okay. In Japan, toothbrushes and everything are left for self-pickup on the first floor. I forgot them when I went upstairs, so I went back down again. Electronic screens are used for check-in and check-out. There was guidance from the front desk staff when checking in. However, when I checked out, I didn’t see the staff on duty so I operated the screen to check out by myself. Because there was no staff watching, I felt a little uneasy. Sorry, but the operation is actually very simple

Booked two rooms and the room space by far was the best … Location was pretty central and had to walk around 15mins from Kyoto Station … breakfast was great too .. a wide selection of food and drinks … is the best hotel we stayed in Japan .. recommended!

However, it is very disappointing that the large public bath is closed due to the season, but the public bath introduced at the front desk was very good, so I shared *(10 minutes on foot) The first night was a Japanese-style room, and the second night was a triple room. But both are cheap and reasonable rooms, but the futons in the Japanese-style room are self-service.

We stayed in 3 a night in this ryokan near the station. We were welcomed with matcha tea and a sweet. The room is the typical ryokan. We chose the kaiki dinner and we already feared to have to go out afterwards to get more to eat, but it wasn't that. Besides being really very good, even the portions were more than right! The same thing is true for breakfast, made in a common room! (I loved their tofu)The futons made them the boy (super-nice) who welcomed us and served the dinner. There is also the typical Japanese public bathroom, and after a long day around Kyoto, it is exactly what it takes us. What to say ...we have heard cocktailed! When I come back to Kyoto I will certainly stay here! Ps: We also found thoughts in the room!
