The Lodge at Pico Bonito

Is a beautiful place and grounds,nice hikes to waterfalls some services prices should be posted so not a surprise when checking out, lodging a little dated,but nice, beautiful grounds

Paradise on earth Great place to stay for a weekend with your loved ones. This place is amazing; it has everything you need to disconnect from the world and have a peaceful moment (well, not total disconnection because there is wifi in the rooms). Everyone is so kind and gentle, and the food is just incredible, the spa is unmatched and the pool is outstanding. Without a doubt, this is the best hotel in the area.

Relaxing and amazing place, definitely love it. I went with my girlfriend and spent 2 nights on this beautiful place ,whether was great , the sound of the river and the birds was so relaxing, the cabin was very nice and clean , we even saw monkeys around, the beautiful view of the mountains, Over all a place that I definitely will visit again.

Nice place, quiet and calm, and the property it’s in great conditions

We spent about a week on Roatan and then took the Galaxy Wave ferry from Roatan to La Ceiba. We had arranged ahead of time for the Lodge at Pico Bonito to send a driver to pick us up at the ferry port, which they did. There was a driver waiting there with a sign with our name on it, which was awesome. The drive to the Lodge was uneventful and check-in was easy. A waiter from the restaurant met us at the front desk and we made dinner reservations and put our order in for dinner. The Lodge is quite isolated (which is wonderful) but also makes it so you don't have many food options. Our dinners at the restaurant over the three days we were there were above average. Breakfast was included in our room and was quite good. While we were there, we signed up for a guide (which was free) to take us to the little butterfly pavilion and the serpentarium on the property, which was fun. The same guide also took us on a hike. The Lodge is situated between two rivers and there are hiking trails that take you into the Pico Bonito National Park where you can hike and view the waterfalls and play in the river. We had two little casitas which were a little rustic but cute. We did have the power go out one night and it wasn't restored until late the next day. Our little hut was quite warm to sleep in without any AC for the night the power was off. The pool was really lovely and three of us had massages at the Spa, which were also lovely. We enjoyed the gift shop with its selection of pottery made by locals and purchased a few pieces to take home. Bring bug spray. There are no TVs in the room, of course, but the main lodge has a little tv and a fun game room.

This place is really off the beaten path but there is great signage from the main road. Once you make it to the hotel, you are transported into the most beautiful hidden treasure! We were only able to stay for one night and wish we could have stayed longer. The property is absolutely STUNNING. There are beautiful trees and plants everywhere on the property. The individual cabanas are quaint and very special feeling. The pool was very large and spacious and felt very refreshing. The food and service at the restaurant were top notch and well! We will definitely be going back to stay at this beautiful hidden gem. The only minor thing we encountered was there was no one at the front desk until 8:00 am and we had to get going to catch the ferry to Roatan and had to wait. I wish they would have told us when we checked in when someone would be on duty the next morning. Very minor thing and everything else exceeded our expectations. If you are on the fence about this place, don't be! Its one of my favorite places I have stayed EVER!
