Hotels near Pulau Singa Besar in Langkawi

We were told family room was unavailable upon check in and offered suite with 2 rollaway beds. The beds were hard and uncomfortable. We did not want our kids to spend a single night on these so requested for a room change to family room as booked which was available later that evening (questionable really). The housekeeping guy couldn't wait to pack his bed whilst we were busy packing our things to move and he insisted on taking away 2 mineral water bottles. Lucky we insisted on the change as family room was so much bigger and the single beds comfier. Another big issue that everyone should know is the lack of hot water in the hotel. We were showering with mostly cold or very little warm water. Brought up the issue but nothing much was done about the no hot water issue.

Got a cheaper deal, last room on last block 5. I need to walk a little far from the lobby but it's less noisy at night because it is far from the cruise jetty and the bar at centre court, more privacy. The view is great, the nights full of stars in November you can bring your own telescope. The restaurant is closed after 6pm and only has one bar open. Non halal, it also served alcohol. Have a game room to play dart, pool, foosball, and watch EPL. Buffet bbq and cruise dinner available nearby the jetty. Got an infinity pool and also a large children's pool. Good for family and group stay. It has free shuttle service to Cenang Mall. I suggest spending the evening at Cenang Beach, having dinner there and taking a grab around MYR 7-10 to get back to the Resort. Nightlife is happening more at Cenang Beach, but this resort is more private. You can get a cheaper Island Hopping Package (can buy online) at 9am-1pm at the nearby jetty too. Room amenities include a safe box (mine was out of battery that time), iron and iron board, hairdryer, mini bar, electric kettle, towel, toiletries and no bathrobe.

The staff here was extremely friendly and helpful. There is a travel agency in the lobby open during work hours where you can get helpful information about tours, local beaches, restaurants etc that we found very useful. The hotel is also conveniently located next to several banks, eating places, supermarkets and Langkawi’s Kuah night market that occurs on Wednesdays and Saturdays. We had an ocean view room that gave us a view of the ocean and pool. Our queen room was spacious and so was the bathroom, which included both a shower and bathtub. The rooms were decently clean though I would say the focus was more on certain items or areas and not the whole room. Still, it wouldn’t hold us back from visiting again. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Stayed here just 1 night for my birthday staycation.I really enjoyed my stay. Hotel is well located in Pantai Tengah Beach and just within 15 minutes drive away from Langkawi International Airport and minutes away from Cenang Beach or Cenang Mall. Dash Resort Langkawi is a beautiful and Instagram worthy hotel located in Langkawi. Love the hotel feels cosy,vibrant and relaxing atmosphere just next to the private beach. The pool bar is a great experience with live music and enjoy stunning sunset views. The staffs were all friendly and polite. Thank you so much for the hospitality service! I had a wonderful experience staying at this hotel. Overall everything great but breakfast needs more improvement. Will recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Langkawi, definitely will come back again!

Don't be fooled by the 4.5 rating, because I certainly was! The only thing this hotel offers is big rooms! And not much else! The location is a big disadvantage, because all the main attractions are far away. You would either have to get a taxi every time, or rent a car or scooter. Car is better because of the distances, but it's more expensive. We were very happy that the hotel offers scooter rentals. However, sometimes the scooters are all in use, so then you're stuck. We were only able to get a scooter from our second day at the hotel. The staff was very nice and helpful. Back to the rooms - they had white lighting, which is a bit tasteless and makes it a bit too casual. You can fix that with the bedside lamps, though. The rooms also have mini fridges, which is always a plus point. My main issue was the bathroom; the placement / height of the wash basin, with the tiny shelf directly on top of the faucet - barely giving any space in between - was VERY uncomfortable to use. There is a normal way in which things are meant to be positioned, but this was completely absurd. The toilet and shower were all *one* area, albeit big. No boundaries, no borders, no cut-off point separating the two. So when you shower, the whole bathroom floor gets wet - and stays that way. I wouldn't have minded, had they provided wipers. The toilet paper was not great quality, and its holder was worse - when trying to put the roll in, it broke in the first instance. The toilet seat was slightly flimsy. The shower pressure was good, but the water not as hot as desired - despite keeping the geyser on the whole time. There was no proper space to keep things like shampoo. Breakfast: They have the shortest breakfast timings I've seen at any hotel 😂, namely 8am-10am (two hours). It is served inside the room. They give us a choice from four local items (from which we have to choose *one* for each day), plus toast & butter/jam, plus tea or coffee. We have to make the tea/coffee ourselves with the kettle in our room. They already apply the butter/jam on the toast for you, which is good for lazy people like me. And it was quite tasty! The local items were okay; it varies from palate to palate, whether one would like them or not. I liked three out of four, though they were quite oily. All that said, it was THE most basic breakfast I've ever had at any hotel. It only works as a preventive measure from going crazy with hunger right when you get up in the morning 😂 Speaking of food - because of the location of the place, there are no restaurants you can get to by foot (as far as I know), and even GrabFood Delivery had very limited options (we survived on ordering McDonalds for lunch). One good thing was that, unlike other hotels, there was a water dispenser in the lobby, free to use whenever we wanted. Hence, we never ran out of water. Had a pleasant stay here at Lavigo Resort. Close to Chenang and other attractions. Relaxing, clean, beautiful and peaceful place, provided if the visitors are following the house rules ie: loud noise, speakers, party drinks, food & beverages at the pool. We did found a beer bottle cap in the adult pool, meaning there is/are visitors who didn't care about the house rules, who should stay somewhere else. We stayed 3D2N in a superior triple room. Room & bathroom are clean. Complete with toiletries, towels, kettle, coffee, cups, hairdryer, tv, mini fridge. In the exterior; swings and pondoks with hammock in each of them. Clean, good-sized pools for adult and kids (with floats and balls for them to play). Had a chance to meet with its kind and friendly owner and housekeeper. This is so much more than a 2-star resort could offer.

The best hotel in Langkawi very friendly and welcoming. Always asking you how the food, the service, the room, they handled everything smoothly...

My family and i had great experience staying here, the pool was clean, room are spacious. not many people staying there during our visit possible due to election. my daughter loves the pool and we can breakfast by the pool. they have friendly staff also, deposit myr100. parking is available.

The best way to describe this hotel is, a 3-star hotel with a 4-5 star resort personality and quality :) While searching online prior to booking, I found that it is 3-star and boutique level (I have learned in the past during my few stays in LGK, 3-star on actual site is often actually 2-star and less) which admittedly, already sealed my expectations but I was banking on it being revamped and newly launched few months ago so worth a check-out. While the front facade is newly painted and looks like a shop lot converted hotel, my oh my, the moment you enter the Reception area, everything is so well designed and nowhere near its first impression - and the Bayou was definitely being sneaky on me with its amazing pool backyard view! Room was great and as aesthetically pleasing as advertised, breakfast was a good spread and staff was superbly friendly. It felt like we were in a resort hotel in spite of its location. Another thing that I enjoy here is the openness of the Lobby area with ample seating areas, separated by flexible sliding glass doors which made the area more spacious than it actually is - the design is very clever. This wild card was definitely worth it!

Food was not great but the location was fantastic to relax and enjoy the beach and pool. Building was a bit old and they didn’t have a king sized bed they just put a mattress pad over two single beds.
