Apartamentos LIVVO Las Gaviotas

Disappointing. Didn't get the room we paid for. We paid extra for a 'plus' room which we were told by phone would put us in the block nearest the seafront. However, on check in we were placed in an entirely different and disconnected block several streets away which was as far back as their much cheaper Morromar sister hotel. The air conditioning, which was the main reason we paid extra, kept turning itself off. In the middle of a heatwave this made sleeping very uncomfortable. The hard beds only added to that. We were there for work so WiFi was important. It fluctuated a lot, from 8Mbps right down to 0.5Mbps. There is no excuse in 2023 for poor hotel WiFi. The chap who guided us to the room late at night didn't offer to help us with our bags. I believe he was part if the maintenance team. The same team that were in a little office/storeroom from which came the very pungent smell of something more than tobacco. Plus points; the cleaners do a good job, even around the lazy maintenance. And it takes around 5 minutes to walk to the promenade and 15 to get to Playa Pocillo where there are many restaurants and bars. 45 minutes walk will get you to PDC. The area itsef is good but we wouldn't stay at this property again

Holiday in Lanzarote It was easy to book. It was near the sea and shops. Peaceful

This is the second time we’ve stayed here. This time we booked a superior apartment just to be closer to the beach. We were allocated a room overlooking the pool in Block 3. The apartment we had been allocated last time in Block 8 was much nicer. The apartment in block 3 is desperately in need of a refurb. The shower was over the bath and it was not nice. The shower head was rusty and looked like it was about to fall off. The bath was disgusting. The patio was much smaller than the one we had in Block 8 and you had to pull the sunbeds out next to the pool as there wasn’t enough room for 2 sunbeds and the table. The sunbeds were not nice and needed a good clean or better still replacing. On arrival you are given a voucher for a free coffee at Block 4. It was closed on the day we arrived so we were told we could use them the next day. When we tried to open the door to the bar it was locked and we were shooed away!! Didn’t bother going back! The pool was absolutely freezing. Very disappointing and not worth the money we paid. Fortunately we love Matagorda and Puerto del Carmen so had a good holiday.

We have stayed at the apartments previously and had a great time, the apartments are clean and well located. On this occasion not as good as my wife had a pair of expensive training shoes stolen from under the bed. The apartment staff spent days defending there cleaning staff when in reality there was simply no other person who could have taken them. This spoilt our holiday, please be careful if leaving anything of value lying around.

In response to my review Vince the owner said they tried to contact me this never happened Vince also stated that any food not eaten is questioned that didn’t happen I gave an honest review of a poor experience and Vince responded with saying I was contacted and I refused to discuss this is also intrue
