The Fort Charlotte Guest House is the best place to stay for Shetland Wool Week. The atmosphere is cozy. The location is central. The hosts are beyond helpful and the breakfasts are delicious. And, honestly, if there hadn’t been availability there I wouldn’t have come at all this year. They are that central to my Lerwick experience. Thank you to the owners and staff.

Great location in Lerwick, near shopping, restaurants and bars. Beautiful house, large rooms and great breakfast with multiple choices. Ryan, Anita, Kelly and the rest of the staff make you feel so welcome and were very flexible with our travel issues.

The Fort Charlotte Guest House is ideally located in downtown Lerwick, near Commercial Street. Accessing the building upon arrival was easy thanks to being provided with key code in advance. The entire house is immaculately clean and our room was well appointed. We especially appreciated the many power outlets that made it easy to charge our electronic devices. There are breakfast options to suit any appetite. If we return to Lerwick, we will definitely be looking to stay here again.

This guest house had a hidden, cozy atmosphere and was just the size for me. The room's interior was also charming and calming, and the view of the old town from the window added a lovely touch. It was very enjoyable to start the day by having a delicious breakfast and chatting with the people at the guesthouse. It's a guest house I would like to visit again.

Great Location, Great hosts, wonderful welcome to Shetland. All good here - the room is comfortable and cozy, breakfast yummy. Hosts so kind. Right in the heart of Lerwick. Wish we could have stayed longer. Would highly recommend for a stay in Lerwick.

What a wonderful place to stay! Clean bright and in the centre of town this is a real gem! The owners and staff were so friendly and helpful and the porridge at breakfast was the best. Would definitely come back here and stay again. Thoughtful decor throughout

We stayed at the centrally located Fort Charlotte Guest House for three nights before moving on to Fair Isle. We had a large and cozy room with a view down Commercial Street. Our cooked breakfast was excellent. Ryan and Anita were attentive and perfect hosts and they were easy to get in touch with.

This hotel is fantastic. I really loved everything about it. Great location and great accommodations (breakfast was the best!). It’s the perfect place to base a trip to The Shetlands. The owners were so good and helpful. Can’t say enough good things

Room was clean and tidy and location was ideal right next to main street for shops and restaurants. We didn't do breakfast but met Ryan and Anita who were very friendly.Plenty of information available for things to do on your break and a lot of things were in walking distance. Easy to find parking space close by
