Bank London|2.11km from Richard D’Oyly Carte Monument
Very satisfied with a hotel, worthy of this price. When I made a mistake at the time of booking, I saw that the room information showed that the facilities for the disabled were provided, and I didn’t think about it. I found that it was a special room for the disabled. It was really embarrassing. . . Before the check-in, the hotel contacted me via Ctrip and asked me about my check-in time. My answer may arrive at noon, which will be far earlier than the hotel's check-in time. The reply will be arranged according to the situation on the day. On the day of the check-in, we arrived at the hotel around 11:00 and they were all ready. Thank you very much! The hotel was originally remodeled by the bank and opened only last year, new and atmospheric. There are seven or eight restaurants in the hotel lobby, and the taste is comprehensive. Geographically, it is located in the downtown area, walking close to the hotels around the Thames, and next to the subway station. The decor of the room is completely classic British style, the details are carefully polished, very special and very like. There are no less than 20 kinds of bath products, which is extremely luxurious. I saw a comment on the book saying that the sound of the music downstairs was noisy, but the actual experience was completely unrecognizable. The sound insulation of the window was well done. The sound of the door next door was noisy. This may be the only fly in the ointment.

The Henrietta Hotel

Theatreland London|0.31km from Richard D’Oyly Carte Monument
London has the best and widest variety of boutique hotels. The Henrietta, by the Experimental Group, was a delightful surprise. I took a chance, especially since my significant other had never been to London. I had not been since 2019. The toilet was broken upon our arrival, but they, specifically Christina, proved that good hotels are not just about what is great, but how they handle problems. Within hours, our bags were moved across the street to their newer property. The room had a plush deep red window seat. It was on the 3rd floor -- which given Henrietta Street is now a pedestrian street, is good for eliminating noise. The room was much larger than one I had had at the nearby Charlotte Street Hotel. The Nespresso was appreciated. The soap products were so good we ordered them. The soups, towels, sheets, all the kinetics, were all of a very high quality. The street itself is central to everything but not overwhelmed by its touristy surroundings. Eating on the street was a delight. Oysterman might be some of the best fish I have ever eaten. Frenchie was very good, and easily recommended. Even their own Italian restaurant was very good almost great. The chef had a thing for pepper flakes. Avo was a truly great breakfast with wonderful people. And yes, a lot of avocado. A boutique is intimate so you have to interact with the same staff repeatedly; they were all true professionals in what they did. Thank you, Christina. So says the Outspoken Traveler.

AMANO Covent Garden

Theatreland London|0.47km from Richard D’Oyly Carte Monument
We stayed at this hotel 13-15th September 2022 as a theatre visit treat. The hotel is excellent for theatre land. It is a stone's throw from the Aldwych (Tina) and convenient for lots of other theatres too. The hotel is modern as I believe it has only recently reopened up. The staff are very helpful and the roof top terrace is lovely for a nice drink either before or after the theatre. We had asked for an accessible room and the room was big. The bathroom was huge so as to accommodate a wheelchair user. However we did come across some teething problems which could easily be sorted out. 1. No bedside tables or shelf. Glasses etc had to be left on the floor by the bed 2. No shelves in the wardrobe. The only shelf in the wardrobe was about 7' high (not good for a wheelchair user) Only two tiny drawers in the wardrobe too 3. Really Tiny hand basin in ensuite - about the size of a toothbrush all round. 4. Bathroom totally flooded while showering. My husband reported it to reception who apologised and assured us it would be cleaned within the next hour. However on our return to the hotel after the theatre we discovered the floor was still soaking wet and still covered with our wet towels we had used to mop up the water. Apologies again from reception who said they would report it and offered us a complimentary breakfast the following morning which was excellent. 5. The vanity pack in the bathroom contained 1 cotton bud. Obviously it had already been opened by the previous occupant but not replaced by housekeeping 6. We had to ask for more tea/coffee/milk in the room as it hadn't been replenished when cleaning the room 7. There was no mirror in the bedroom to use when using hair dryer to dry hair. The flex on the hairdryer was really tight so had to sit on the bed by the headboard where the plug sockets were to try and dry hair.

Had afternoon tea for my birthday with my son, the staff Avataar and Fransseca were wonderful they went out of their day way to serve us. Extra sandwiches were on offer if we wanted more. They were so knowledgeable about the teas and even come round with a birthday card with cake and candle for my birthday. What a wonderful gesture. There was also a pianist playing in the centre of the room which was very delightful. On our way out I managed to get a photo with Sean who we have regularly watched on the Savoy on ITV. What a wonderful friendly chap. What a memorable day.

At first I would like to thank Monica for the kind welcome and the quick allocation to me of a room - even though I was a few hours before check-in time. Additionally, a huge thank you to Michael for a very nice approach to me when I needed room help on several times and for providing me with all the things - amazing that you need something and he is with it in just after few moments. Like Monica and Michael, every employee should take care of the hotel guest - very pleasant hotel staff - really. The rooms are very clean and functional, well equipped and of course a huge advantage - location. Thank you and I will definitely come back here again. I would recommend the hotel to everyone!More

Dad and daughter trip to do all things Harry Potter in London and Leavesden. Used to live in England and knew Covent Garden was a great, central place to call home for a bit. The Resident took it to a whole other level. Gianna welcomed us in and was a personal concierge, confidant, cheering section, smiling face and empathetic host. She took an interest in ensuring my teenage daughter felt like royalty. We were keen to share photos of our adventures and relive special moments with her. Thank you so much Gianna, you are truly special. The Resident's location near Charing Cross provided perfect access to the Market, Trafalgar Square, the Charing Cross tube (which connects to everywhere) and restaurants galore. I was pleasantly surprised to wake up to the London Marathon one morning!! The hotel and room were modern and clean, beds were super comfy. It was quiet and dark when sleeping and we could open our windows for some fresh air and sounds of London when we were awake. After fours days, my daughter and I were ready to move full time to Covent Garden. Wonder if the Resident would allow for permanent guests...

This place is worth every penny….. Location 10/10 Food 10/10 Decor and cleanliness 10/10 Staff 10/10 We stayed here for 1 night in August. Everything was impeccable, I couldn’t even find something to score them down on. The staff were all fantastic, a couple were outstanding at service but I didn’t get their names. I had several personal touches as it was my birthday on the day we arrived. Food was incredible and Indigo restaurant is accredited by Coeliac UK which was a bonus as I have Coeliacs. The tasting menu with Wine pairing is highly recommended as is the gluten free fish & chips! 10/10 will go back as soon as I can.
