The hotel reception staff were very welcoming and also multilingual. The rooms were lovely, spacious, modern, clean and we particularly enjoyed the mountain view from the room window. However, the TV was a little small and there was no complementary tea and coffee sachets provided. There is a continental style breakfast offered, but it was slightly disappointing with not much selection and fresh fruit. The location is good and fairly near to the main sanctuary and grotto although there is reasonable distance to town centre, so be prepared to walk a bit and bring sensible footwear. There is also an airport shuttle bus near the hotel at the Paradis bus stop which drops you straight to the airport. We had a good experience on this occasion and will definitely recommend staying especially if you're looking for self-catering residence type accommodation. Thank you Zenitude

The hotel is small but in a good location to visit grotto area. We had a good size comfortable room which was very quiet even though facing onto the road and the river. The room has a shower, tea and coffee making facilities and a safe. Our room had a balcony overlooking the river. There was a shaded patio on our floor for use by residents. The hotel serves an excellent buffet breakfast which is regularly replenished and there is plenty of room in the dining room. The staff are all young and enthusiastic and nothing is too much trouble for them. Wifi is good and we had no difficulty in connecting. A very good stay and we will be returning on our next visit. The Hotel only serves breakfast but there is plenty of choice for other meals locally. Made in Italy serves very good Pizzas and is always very busy. The town was busy with pilgrimages even though it was October but it is still kept clean. The streets are narrow so you need to be aware of the traffic especially the large tour buses. There are local buses and a petit train which run around the town.

We travelled to Lourdes on pilgrimage with HCPT (Hosanna House and Children’s Pilgrimage Trust). Hotel Croix des Bretons was our “home” for the week. We spent 7 nights here over the Easter weekend - the 1st week of the season, and the staff could not have been more prepared. From the warm & friendly welcome, accommodating all of our unusual requests like they were absolutely run of the mill, to the buffet style food which was refreshing and good. Honestly, I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere that Francois, Sabine & the team don’t manage. The hotel itself is really clean, the rooms are comfortable, especially the beds, with extra blankets in the wardrobes if needed. The bathroom was spacious and super clean, ours had a bath with a wall shower. The staff in the restaurant were kind, caring and diligent. I know that if I were to come to Lourdes, by myself outside of the organised pilgrimage, Hotel Croix des Bretons would be the first place I would look to book. Grazie Francois! Just returned from 3 nights and 4 days staying at the Alba. It wasnt our first time visiting Lourdes but it was our first time staying at this hotel. This will absolutely be the only place we stay from here on whenever we come back to Lourdes. The toilet and shower room are spotless and cleaned daily (unless you put the do not disturb sign on if you didnt want it cleaned everyday). The towels were crisp, white and clean and looked brand new .... plenty of towels provided and toiletries provided too. Lovely added touches! The rooms are spotlessly clean, modern and well looked after and maintained. Good air conditioning in the rooms. Only thing missing was a little fridge and maybe tea/coffee facilities but we managed without and had to just drink wine instead (🤭) The bed was so comfortable and we had such a good sleep each and everynight! Crisp white and clean bedding which shows how spotless everything was. The staff were always cheerful and helpful with anything we needed and the hotel was in a prime postion, on the banks of the river Gave, and within walking distance to the Grotto/Domain! We had a wonderful few days away in Lourdes, it is such a special and Holy place .... and staying at this hotel really helped to make it extra special ! See you next year please God. The hotel is very comfortable and clean. The bedrooms and bathrooms are nickel. Sorry that all this was disturbed by the ”bordel” caused by Spanish-language children who played in the corridors until midnight by laying the doors with grooms and who left the hotel the next day at 5 p.m. without doing any work Also attention to noise. So what to sleep well without being able to do it .....

Quite difficult to find when arriving in a car, especially disabled. We did find a disabled place right at the top of the street, but it is very hilly. You can reserve a parking space at the hotel for a charge. When walking down the street to the hotel, do not take the first entrance into the little court yard, but the second into the reception area. Here we were greeted very warmly and the location of the hotel is excellent, near to the grotto, centre and shops. We decided to eat in the hotel the first evening and the food was very good and reasonable. The second evening to celebrate our 48th wedding anniversary from advice we are at the restaurant Alexandria, at the top of the street. Quite expensive, but the food was amazing. Breakfast the usual continental affair, though a lack of fresh fruit and a little mundane. It is also well worth taking the little white tourist train, which you board down in the centre, but also stops right outside the hotel and stops at various places including the candle factory. Our accessible room although with a hugh wet room, was really quite bleak with no view or adequate shelving in the bathroom. The bed was comfy, but far too low and following a recent knee operation, was a nightmare to arise from and although on the whole we enjoyed our stay, I was definitely glad to leave it after three nights.

There are many positives to this hotel. This was our 3rd stay in this hotel and we will come back in future. Overall a positive experience. Location - walkable to the Grotto and great shopping and restaurants all around. The view from the balconies, if you get such a room, is to the grotto and awesome to wake up to. Facilities - good breakfast, parking onsite, gym, spa (free access) would recommend the rooms with balconies Beds - super comfortable Rooms - big rooms in comparison to other hotels in France. Cleanliness (as far as I can see see below comment about the use of dark color in decor) Service - the staff is very helpful and customer focussed. the lady who manages the breakfast room in particular was amazing. She remembers us from our visit 9 months back, to the detail of what tea my mother preferred. Absolutely five stars for her! the opportunities for improvement are the liberal use of dark color all over in the decor. While a nice design touch, for a hotel, in regards hygiene, I am not sure I am comfortable with so much dark color when I can't see any possible stains. The elevator covered in fake turf was also a bit claustrophobic as it was also very small. The lobby has very little sitting area, so if you are waiting for someone, you have to linger by the reception or sit in the bar.

The hotel airport is very close, the room is very clean, the male receptionist at the front desk is very patient and enthusiastic. I specially arrived at the store in advance to receive us, and helped us mention the room with the suitcase, and called us to drop off at 5 o'clock in the morning. The driver also came in advance. This trip was just me and my Husband this time for our 40th Wedding Anniversary and we always wanted to stay at this Hotel as we have been in many times before to have a drink in the bar. As it was just the two of us we had our own choice of hotel so you can imagine we were excited to book and stay there. We booked a deluxe room overlooking the garden. The room was not deluxe it was not what we expected even down to no bed side tables or any drawers in the room the wardrobe rail was very short hence creasing our clothes, for this reasion, I asked to borrow an iron for 5 minutes but got told by the receptionist to wait in reception till someone came to show me to the pressing room in another building. I waited 20 minutes no one came so I gave up and never asked again. The first morning there was no hot water so cold showers. I heard the receptionist saying to another guest who was complaining about the same issue that it would be fixed later that day. Which it was. The tea tray was very sparce one breakfast tea bag each and one sugar each with a very small pod of milk not enough for a decent cup of tea. To add the biggest insult there was two wooden sticks to stir the tea not even a proper spoon in a deluxe room? We took the small stool out of the shower to put our tea on whilst we sat on the 2 dirty chairs on the balcony. We have had far better variety of breakfast from every other hotels we have stayed in lourdes. When we arrived we was told we did not have to book evening dinner in the restaurant so on the actually day of our 40th Anniversary we went down to the restaurant but was told no room even though the restaurant at the time was half empty. We had a lovely meal in another Hotel. To top it all when we got home our Children told us that they contacted the hotel reception to ask could they order a surprise bottle of champagen on the day to be sent to our room they was on the telphone to them for an hour but hit a brick wall as they would not take payment from them. I do not normally write reviews but after receiving a welcome written note from the Staff when we entered the room saying Happy 40th Wedding Anniversary we hope you enjoy your stay and if there is anything you need our staff is to hand. this letter was accompanied by 6 macaroons on a plate. Hotel has not even answered reviews on there website shows they do not care and its not a cheap hotel.

GGuest UserThis hotel is a little gem. Its strength is it staff. From the moment we arrived we were taken care of. We were with Tangney Tours and Linda was an extremely professional and caring guide. Rooms are quite small but clean with maid service everyday. The restaurant staff were fabulous especially Corine's friendly and attentive approach at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Philippa in the restaurant was also excellent. Small bar at reception. 2 lifts and a staircase to access 9 floors.

Very helpful when checking in and out with where to park car/ leaving bags etc. The hotel is close to the grotto and is very handy for returning to during the day if needed. GGuest UserThe lady at the reception was absolutely fantastic. She was extremely helpful polite and very accommodating. 10/10. I'm sorry I didn't get her name. But she was just great!!! The rooms are more basic than you could imagine. Bedding was well made and clean. Hygiene was not great elsewhere. Lack of toilet paper etc was not a great start but not a complaint. There was a ”stink” in the bathroom, I discovered it was toilet brush . The pool area was acceptable. The breakfast for €12 was ok, not fantastic. The location was a bit far from the Grotto. We had to get a taxi each night as after a day of walking in the town centre the walk uphill was too much for any if us. The overall facilities are in need of repairs and an option to purchase a box of basic items would have been good, such as coffee butter milk etc.

Booked directly through Accor website as we are a member. Booking went smoothly. The receptionist were helpful, friendly and professional. A lot of cafes around the hotel. It was a lovely walking distance to Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes. Au Roi Albert Restaurant was excellent & food was delicious and reasonable price.

JjanetnolanThis is an ideal stay for room only accommodation. The air conditioning on the 3 rd was definitely a good choice and very good. The hotel also provided a Kettle and big fan which were very well appreciated. We brought our own tea coffee etc and cups. The shower over the bath was good and had a good hand rail. Beds ok extra pillows provided. The staff were wonderful and extremely accommodating for little requests and the hotel had 24 hour access which was ideal. Breakfast limited but plenty of cafes. Lunch and dinner tickets can be purchased to use at the solitude hotel Buffett . Next door Good lift. Easy access. Definitely stay again

GGuest UserReally looked forward to staying here but was very disappointed overall The pros Location is great , right in the heart of Lourdes so easy walk to sanctuary , shops , restaurants and bus stop. Size of the apartment was also ok ( we booked a family apartment so should of had 2 bedrooms and separate kitchen / sitting area with balcony and a classic apartment which is 1 separate bedroom with kitchen / dining . What we got initially was a studio room ( bed in same room as kitchen with separate bathroom , dining table was touching end of bed and a window ) and a 1 bedroom apartment which had a bunk bed in the kitchen area ( room 406) with a window looking directly into another room. I asked for a change on this room and got room 402, so had 2 single beds in a room with large window and a double couch bed in kitchen area with a balcony that was 2 foot wide but had stunning views so better. What we didn’t expect was the deposit in case of breakages of €100 ( I took room pics of other peoples damage and showed reception immediately) the box of self catering stuff provided , cups , plates ect to be collected from reception and the overall untidy and dirty room conditions. All 3 rooms we were in had the same issues. Coming to Lourdes with vulnerable people I didn’t expect the room to be a possible health hazard due to lack of basic cleaning and having to ask for basics like toilet roll , clean blankets and sheets surprised me. We had an early flight home & reception staff actually came to check our rooms before handing back the deposits that we paid in cash. Pictures don’t lie Home in door was room 406 when we checked in . Rest are of room 402 . The girl who checked us in on Monday , we didn’t see her again , another girl was left to deal with the issues.

GGuest UserWe just wanted a place to sleep and store our bags while we participate in the activities of the grotto. So it was just the right place for us.
Please just hire a receptionist who can understand English because there was confusion as to the booking because the male receptionist can't understand English and we can't speak French.
