This is an ideal stay for room only accommodation. The air conditioning on the 3 rd was definitely a good choice and very good. The hotel also provided a Kettle and big fan which were very well appreciated. We brought our own tea coffee etc and cups. The shower over the bath was good and had a good hand rail. Beds ok extra pillows provided. The staff were wonderful and extremely accommodating for little requests and the hotel had 24 hour access which was ideal. Breakfast limited but plenty of cafes. Lunch and dinner tickets can be purchased to use at the solitude hotel Buffett . Next door Good lift. Easy access. Definitely stay again

We travelled to Lourdes on pilgrimage with HCPT (Hosanna House and Children’s Pilgrimage Trust). Hotel Croix des Bretons was our “home” for the week. We spent 7 nights here over the Easter weekend - the 1st week of the season, and the staff could not have been more prepared. From the warm & friendly welcome, accommodating all of our unusual requests like they were absolutely run of the mill, to the buffet style food which was refreshing and good. Honestly, I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere that Francois, Sabine & the team don’t manage. The hotel itself is really clean, the rooms are comfortable, especially the beds, with extra blankets in the wardrobes if needed. The bathroom was spacious and super clean, ours had a bath with a wall shower. The staff in the restaurant were kind, caring and diligent. I know that if I were to come to Lourdes, by myself outside of the organised pilgrimage, Hotel Croix des Bretons would be the first place I would look to book. Grazie Francois! The hotel is small but in a good location to visit grotto area. We had a good size comfortable room which was very quiet even though facing onto the road and the river. The room has a shower, tea and coffee making facilities and a safe. Our room had a balcony overlooking the river. There was a shaded patio on our floor for use by residents. The hotel serves an excellent buffet breakfast which is regularly replenished and there is plenty of room in the dining room. The staff are all young and enthusiastic and nothing is too much trouble for them. Wifi is good and we had no difficulty in connecting. A very good stay and we will be returning on our next visit. The Hotel only serves breakfast but there is plenty of choice for other meals locally. Made in Italy serves very good Pizzas and is always very busy. The town was busy with pilgrimages even though it was October but it is still kept clean. The streets are narrow so you need to be aware of the traffic especially the large tour buses. There are local buses and a petit train which run around the town.

Centrally located less than a kilometer from the Sanctuary/Grotto. A lift is just around the corner from the hotel which will bring straight down to the main street. There were four of us and we had two rooms -- a family room with four beds and a single room with one double bed. My granddaughter was not feeling well the next day and since our train back to Paris did not leave until late in the afternoon, we asked to extend one of the rooms and paid for the additional time. The request was received well and handled very efficiently by the people at the front desk -- I think it is the owner and her son. The rooms were clean and the bathrooms were also very spotless with good strong hot water. They served a filling and tasty buffet breakfast -- cereals, fruits, bread, cold cuts and eggs plus coffee and juices. Very good value for money. The sanctuary/grotto is a ten minute walk away. If you're attending the evening procession, the lift closes at 11:30 so try to catch to save an uphill walk to the hotel.

Beautiful hotel in Lourdes near the sanctuary, shops and restaurants. Everything is within walking distance. Hotel is very clean and has wonderful comfy beds and serves good breakfast in the mornings and wonderful meals in the evening. To get to the hotel you can either take a shuttle bus which goes to the Sanctuary. Once you get dropped at the Sanctuary the hotel is a few minutes walk. The cost for this shuttle bus is about 3 euros. During Easter this shuttle bus is not regular. We had to take a shared taxi from the airport which cost us 12 euros per person, as we had missed the last bus at 7pm. The hotel is also very popular with pilgrims, so for those of you not coming in groups, book early. I will highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Just returned from 3 nights and 4 days staying at the Alba. It wasnt our first time visiting Lourdes but it was our first time staying at this hotel. This will absolutely be the only place we stay from here on whenever we come back to Lourdes. The toilet and shower room are spotless and cleaned daily (unless you put the do not disturb sign on if you didnt want it cleaned everyday). The towels were crisp, white and clean and looked brand new .... plenty of towels provided and toiletries provided too. Lovely added touches! The rooms are spotlessly clean, modern and well looked after and maintained. Good air conditioning in the rooms. Only thing missing was a little fridge and maybe tea/coffee facilities but we managed without and had to just drink wine instead (🤭) The bed was so comfortable and we had such a good sleep each and everynight! Crisp white and clean bedding which shows how spotless everything was. The staff were always cheerful and helpful with anything we needed and the hotel was in a prime postion, on the banks of the river Gave, and within walking distance to the Grotto/Domain! We had a wonderful few days away in Lourdes, it is such a special and Holy place .... and staying at this hotel really helped to make it extra special ! See you next year please God. The service was good, the facilities were good, but I had not two beds as planned, but a large bed. At the end of the stay, no fruits for breakfast, replace with a conserved fruit salad, the winemakers too cooked.

The lady at the reception was absolutely fantastic. She was extremely helpful polite and very accommodating. 10/10. I'm sorry I didn't get her name. But she was just great!!! The rooms are more basic than you could imagine. Bedding was well made and clean. Hygiene was not great elsewhere. Lack of toilet paper etc was not a great start but not a complaint. There was a ”stink” in the bathroom, I discovered it was toilet brush . The pool area was acceptable. The breakfast for €12 was ok, not fantastic. The location was a bit far from the Grotto. We had to get a taxi each night as after a day of walking in the town centre the walk uphill was too much for any if us. The overall facilities are in need of repairs and an option to purchase a box of basic items would have been good, such as coffee butter milk etc.

The hotel reception staff were very welcoming and also multilingual. The rooms were lovely, spacious, modern, clean and we particularly enjoyed the mountain view from the room window. However, the TV was a little small and there was no complementary tea and coffee sachets provided. There is a continental style breakfast offered, but it was slightly disappointing with not much selection and fresh fruit. The location is good and fairly near to the main sanctuary and grotto although there is reasonable distance to town centre, so be prepared to walk a bit and bring sensible footwear. There is also an airport shuttle bus near the hotel at the Paradis bus stop which drops you straight to the airport. We had a good experience on this occasion and will definitely recommend staying especially if you're looking for self-catering residence type accommodation. Thank you Zenitude
