A special thanks to the manager, who graciously accommodated my late check-in without any hassle—such flexibility is rare and truly appreciated. The service throughout my stay was impeccable, with everyone genuinely eager to assist. An extremely warm and enjoyable stay, which the Taj group is known for. Super staff - from the security guards, housekeeping staff, hospitality teams, kitchen staff to senior most leadership. There was consistency in ensuring genuine customer satisfaction, across all guests. Mr Sandeep Das and his team took exceptional care. I will surely be back to this amazing well laid out property.

The property is beautiful and well done up too. Even the rooms are spacious and well appointed. Service is outstanding. Particularly the staff at Sahib Cafe. Attentive friendly and very helpful. It’s the details the taj gets right that delight. The toiletries, the little complimentary cakes. Saqi is nice as a bar. Some interesting cocktails, I particularly enjoyed the penicilini (I think that’s what it was called) and that’s coming from somebody who doesn’t enjoy whisky. The more interesting part is that they’re willing to accommodate wine by glass requests for solo diners. Oudhyana was the true revelation of this trip for me. It’s something I’ll definitely keep coming back to Lucknow and to the taj in Lucknow for. Everything was nice but the kakori kebabs and biryani were outstanding. Even the service there was great, the staff was willing to give me a wine by the glass that wasn’t mentioned on the menu. Since it was only a one-person table. On the whole, a memorable experience. A couple of minor areas for improvement: 1. This is very minor but the in-room coffee service is really average. It’s a thing with all Taj’s, but then I wish it’d change soon 2. The lack of a J Wellness spa is a big big miss for me. It’s one of the things I look forward to most whenever I visit a taj and the spa here seemed very makeshift. 3. I guess this happens in some Taj properties and not all, but the high tea is one of my favourite bits. It didn’t happen here.
