Deserves to be a five star hotel in Lyon, with friendly staff. I booked a classic room breakfast for about 1.3K a night. The breakfast was pure western style, but there was a lot of fresh fruit, which was also very cheap in Europe. The view is good, the location is good, and the subway is 10 minutes walk from the hotel. After going to the old town for dinner, I walked back to the hotel and it took 25min. Drinks in the mini bar are free (with fruit juice and cola).

This is a fun property. It's an old building that was a hospital before it was converted. The building is spectacular. It was also very clean. The rooms are quite large - by any standard and especially French standards. The space was also very well utilized. The bathroom was similarly large and well laid out. The location is excellent - near the rivers and lots of tourist areas. It's an expensive area but that's not unexpected. The wifi was good and the A/C worked well. The airport is outside the city so it costs about 50-60€ each way. The property was very quiet. They did a nice job insulating the windows to block traffic noise. Bottom line, I would absolutely return.

I was fortunate enough to visit The Boscolo in August of this year (22) and have to say I wasn’t disappointed. The staff were welcoming and very helpful and the first impression of the hotel is fabulous. The room was beautiful, clean and very well finished with lovely comfortable beds. The treats left were very welcome too. The pool area was wonderful and the meal we had in the evening, around the pool, was exceptionally good. I would love to visit Nice again and if I do the Boscolo would be my first choice!

Fabulous hotel. Great staff, beautiful rooms, very comfortable bed, free movies on the tv, don’t need Netflix. We arranged massages before we arrived, which I recommend doing. She was an excellent massage therapist. From the bellboys to the barmen, everyone was fantastic. Five star experience.

This was the second time I had stayed at the Grand Hotel des Terreaux. The hotel is in a central location in Lyon, and I like the style. The service was excellent, they speak English, and I loved the breakfast buffet. The room I stayed in was very nice but on the smaller side, typical for hotel rooms in France. The bed was very comfortable for me, and the room had air conditioning which is great as it can get quite warm in France. Wireless access was included, and fast and reliable. Overall an excellent hotel I can highly recommend.

Stayed 3 nights here in early September 2022. The hotel is right next to the train station in a building with the Mercure and Ibis budget hotels inside as well. At the moment, and still, the same entrance is used for the Ibis styles and budget hotels, which is a bit bothersome. Staff not friendly / welcoming. Breakfast is basic, often supplies are not refilled (staff very slow) and messy. There is not a lot of space. The bar is closed so for the welcome drink had to go to the Mercure hotel bar. Room was on 9th floor with a nice view of the train station. It was very quiet - they have 2 windows. Bed was very comfortable and clean. Room itself a bit worn down (walls etc.), but I guess it is a busy hotel and not all travelers behave. Overall a nice base for the weekend in Lyon. Walking time to the city centre and the main tourist sights amounts to around +-30mins. WARNING!: Be very careful with the vending machine here, next to the reception & elevators: a bottle of water costs 2 Euro. I was charged 3 times 2 Euro for one water bottle and I am now trying to figure out how to get my money back! Also very strange that as a Gold member they do not provide 2 bottles of water for free in the room per day!

I had the misfortune to stay at this hotel for one night in May 2022 with my mom. At the arrival the receptionist is very nice, aknowledging the fact that we had already paid for the stay through a deal on booking. As the room was not ready yet, we leave for the city centre and as we come back in the afternoon, two other guys at the reception, barely speaking any English or French, hint that we had to pay for the stay. Somehow we manage to be understood and we only have to pay for the ”tax de sejour”. Let's speak about the rooms - I understand that this is an extremely basic hotel, but for the price paid one would at least expect a decent room. Well, this is definitely NOT the case. Rooms are tiny - literally. No hooks to hang clothes, no bathroom shelf, leaving the nice option to leave all your toiletries on the floor. The towels are two tiny towels that might be used to dry your mouth (maybe) after cleaning your teeth - hoping that the sink is not clogged and not fixed (as it was four our case, even after having promptly informed the reception). The TV has NO other channels if not French speaking - I understand we're in France, but haven't you heard of satellite? The AC does not refresh this tiny hole, and even in May, we had to sleep with our windows open not to suffocate What else to say if not: save your money and go else where, for that rate you can absolutely get better accomodation

Inaccessible in car No parking in this hotel.You need to find a place in the streets around and this is an impossible mission, the parking of the Bellecourt Square is still overloaded and there is a waiting line to stop The room is small, it is impossible to move around the bed. It is better not to be overcoated to get into the shower where the smell of the waste is refouled :-( -One of the two is working ... -Don't forget to ask for the WiFi codes when you arrive because you will not have access to it from the closet of the reception to the tomorrow.When you have to work tonight, it's all wrong! -Wait very long behind the door...Fortunately the service lady was handled not very far. -On the other hand, this lady was very pleasant and did a remarkable clean work!!! -The only positive point, the location on the foot street near the old Lyon.

The hotel is ideally located, very clean and well-equipped bathroom, comfortable bed, convenient breakfast in relation to the price of €10. We had a business with 3 people from the reception, all three very friendly and professional. The Tilsitt Park is to avoid strongly after booking a week in advance, we arrive on day J and the staff of the badly friendly parking to possible announces that it is complete, that we had badly understand and it puts us there! I recommend this hotel but not the Tilsitt parking.

Petit hôtel très sympathique, sans prétention, mais très honnete, bien pensé, bien décoré et aux espaces efficacement optimisés et d’excellent rapport qualité/prix avec un petit dej avec des viennoiseries de qualité, ainsi que du bon pain frais, même si une offre un peu plus étendu en salé serait appréciable. Le personnel est extrêmement sympathique et arrangeant . Les « tintins et Astérix » gracieusement prêtés par l’établissement achèveront de vous endormir en douceur.

There is no elevator. Luggage has to be carried up to the fourth floor. The luggage with the overseas travel is really not able to be carried. The bathroom is small. The facilities are outdated. The location is good.

We enjoyed our stay here. On the plus side: superior double very spacious. Aircon worked. Bed very comfortable with good quality linen. WiFi good. Water and coffee machine. Lift made access to upper floors easy. Lovely bathroom with good quality towels. Staff charming and efficient. Communication good. Great location - right in the middle of Presqu’ile, loads of restaurants, bars nearby and easy to get to all the sights. Ten mins by taxi from Part Dieu. Good price/value for money. Not so great: very little storage space. Shower floor slippery - not good if you have balance is not great. Had to put a towel down. Some things looked a little tired and in need of some tlc. Can’t comment on breakfast. The breakfast room is down a spiral staircase which I couldn’t manage. Never mind. Got a good breakfast elsewhere. On balance would recommend this hotel. Thank you for our stay.

Hotel location is good, in the city center, walk through the river is the old town. The waitress at the front desk was extremely enthusiastic. The room is really small. Most of the surrounding shops and restaurants have finished service at 7:00, and it is relatively early. There is a small market in the morning on the river, very cute.
