Hotels near Bullfighting Museum in Madrid

Good afternoon. The hotel was very comfortable and very comfortable. A deserved 10 in the treatment of the hotel staff.

Rafaelhoteles Ventas is in a good location, close to the metro station (El Carmen). Hygiene is good, bed linen is changed daily. Breakfast is according to the ”buffet table” principle, but it is monotonous and with a small selection. The staff is friendly and accommodating.

The designated double bed room was given a single bed by the window. The room is not small and has basic functions and facilities. Toothbrushes and slippers must be provided. Less than 500 RMB also includes double breakfast, and breakfast is good. The subway station is right outside and the bullring is opposite. The waiter was very welcoming. 17 euros for parking overnight, 7 euros after 3 pm the next day (without overnight stay). The overall cost performance is very high.

I chose this hotel mainly because it is relatively closer to the airport (I have an early flight next morning) - when I came from the airport in a car around 1pm, it took 20 minutes. When I left the hotel to go to the airport at around 9:30am, it took about 15 minutes. Windows cannot be opened “for your safety”. 🙂 it allows early check in, but at €10 🙂 it allows you to store your luggage there for free 😐 it you need a hairdryer or a kettle, you need to put down €10 deposit. They will return it to you when you give it back. Just less convenient 😕 the “free wifi” as seen in my booking page is only for the lobby. You need to pay €3.99 to use wifi in the room. Not expensive but just doesn’t make you feel good. 😕 there was hair on my bedsheet, though not a lot (I saw two short curly ones which doesn’t look like hair from head…)

A nice hotel with many lovely features on each floor , shame about no coffee making facilities in room a huge disappointment as it’s the first thing we like when we wake up , only ate in hotel once food was terrible for a 5 star had to send my husband’s back and got a very cold response from waitress , put things on our table we didn’t ask for and expected us to pay €12 for a bit of bread it’s not how it should be , we were not willing to pay the full bill and the waitress was rude and if looks could kill , receptionist were helpful and sorted any issues out we had , please employ staff that know how to be with customers it stopped us eating there again at the very expensive cost.location was okay but not as central as we were lead to believe but still worth a visit just for the style . Please be warned the pool is ice cold as not heated and lots of the hotel was closed so we didn’t get to use most of it and that was disappointing as it was one of the reasons we booked with them.it wasn’t a cheap hotel we were a couple with our parents and expect coffee making facilities in our room at that cost. Please take that on board hotel owners .

I have just come home from staying here for three days, my initial views were good for this hotel, I am afraid looking back I was wrong. The service I received was fine, but to be charged £340 for three nights which converts to £288, £95 a night I feel is outrageous and most definitely would not stay here again. I feel very annoyed with myself for agreeing to stay here for three nights. I have not been out of the UK for two years and eight months so this was very important to me. I had not booked in advance, just went to Alicante and thought I could find a hotel, it was very hot, I was feeling tired, I do not think I was thinking straight.😰but I do blame myself entirely. She said it was a special offer so I would have breakfast free, but I can assure you the breakfast was extremely mediocre, I did not choose to have breakfast on the last day, so getting it free and paying £95 a night is irrelevant. They did not have fresh milk, it was long life milk, The bread was stale, the sausages in the hot section look liked they came out of a can and cold, the scrambled egg was cold, the bacon in the hot plate was 99% fat and cold, all the juices they were serving were out of a packet and were very distasteful. I would rate this breakfast as a two-star hotel and indeed I would say probably one of the worst breakfasts I have had in a hotel in my lifetime. I have travelled the world and stayed in many hotels so I do have some experience, I would probably say this hotel is worth £60 pounds a night maximum, then one could accept what I received as acceptable, to charge £95 a night again I am going to say is very disappointing and outrageous. I also strongly recommend to anyone going to Alicante do not stay at this hotel for £95 a night, it is only worth about £60. Another point I would like to make the building noise outside over the three days was shocking, even with all the doors closed, the noise from the building noise and the bars across the road was horrendous and I paid £95 a night for this. Another very important point not out of the UK for two years and eight months, I am. 70 years old, have underlining health conditions and the staff working in the hotel could not even be courteous enough to put a face mask on or advise anyone to wear a face mask, I was the only one in the hotel with a face mask on, this is disgraceful and something they should not be proud of. I suppose if you are young and you do not have any health conditions you can just have this type of attitude. I felt exposed, frightened, and worried about catching Covid in this hotel. I have to say shame on you for putting me through this. I paid you £95 a night to make me feel like this. Spain went through a very difficult time during Covid, I also know it is not compulsory now to wear a mask, but you should be more professional and you should think about your vulnerable customers. Hotel location is very good, next to the subway station, take the subway to the city only about half an hour, the room is very comfortable, conducive to sleep, the bathroom is very clean, it is the best choice for staycation!

This is a budget hotel so might not suit some travelers. Also because of the distance to the main hum of Madrid is probably not suitable for people with walking disabilities. All this said, a spotlessly clean hotel, very good and helpful staff. Basic breakfast but plenty of choise. Great ensuite rooms. Lift access to all floors. Free WiFi in communal areas. My room although on the front (123) was very quiet at all times. Public buses (very cheap) from outside to the Bullring and metro stations to get to the centre of Madrid. Taxis outside and are not expensive. Uber taxis to order quickly To sum up, value would be hard to beat but a good 20 minutes by bus or cab from centre of Madrid.

I recently stayed at this Novotel hotel for a business trip. Unfortunately, the check-in experience was quite disappointing. They asked me to have a seat and promised to assist me shortly. However, if the staff member attending to you is occupied with premium clients, you'll be left forgotten in a corner. It was disheartening to see other guests who arrived after me being served before me. Moreover, the way the queue was managed was problematic since even if another staff member was available, they didn't approach you spontaneously. This was not what I expected from a Novotel. The hotel is shared between two brands: Ibis Styles on the lower floors and Novotel on the higher ones, with a common lobby. Consequently, the hotel felt very family-oriented and noisy, lacking the usual upscale atmosphere associated with Novotel. On a positive note, the room itself was clean, spacious, and adequate. However, the combination of two hotels into one and the underwhelming check-in experience did not impress me. I will not consider staying at this hotel for my future trips to Madrid. Therefore, I cannot recommend it.

Good impression in general but we believe that for some details the 4 stars are somewhat loose. As positive points we highlight the location, the comfort of the beds and the treatment of the staff. Correct room size. What we did not like: some points in the rooms with some dust, a somewhat dirty courtesy jug to heat water, when we arrived to take a shower the hot water did not come out but we notified them and they solved it the next morning.
