An enjoyable 1 night stay was had over the weekend at The Blanc. All the amenities at this boutique hotel located at the end of Jonker Street. Clean, tidy and well maintained rooms. TV with good channels. Free WiFi. Easy check in and out. Plenty of free parking options. We were lucky to get our room at a bargain price due to COVID. Thank you for a comfortable stay.

The hotel was much bigger than we had anticipated. It is a really beautiful place, hidden away in the nice city of Melaka. The lobby is beautifully designed, but freezing and the whole hotel seemed drenched in some kind of perfume, which made me a bit dizzy. Our room had the weirdest smell- but I think it was intentional...as though they had made it smell like that on purpose...like mouldy hay. The room was really pretty and the little patio is a nice touch. We informed the desk that we's be checking out at 12:50. but still, the same concierge called us at 12:00, waiting impatiently for us to check out. We were also hardly ever greeted upon entering the hotel. Weird. Once everything is done, I'm sure it will be a nice place. I wish the plants were real. They are all plastic and it shows, unfortunately. The location is perfect, just around the corner from China Town and Junkers Walk. I think it's a decent place to stay for a night or two.

We stayed 5 nights in a double room. The location is great and it is cheap - 2 good points of this hotel. The room was run down as was the whole hotel. It is in need of a reno. Paint peeling, bathroom door damaged and there were leaks in the bathroom from the hose near the toilet. The toilet/shower were all in one in our room so the water from the shower went over everything. The shower was hot though so that was good. The AC was cold which was also nice. The room was quite cramped and unfortunately it doesn't match the pictures on the internet. First 2 days there was no real breakfast supplied as I think there were very few guests so they didn't bother apart from asking if we would like eggs. I had fried eggs both mornings but they were cold when served. The last 3 days they had a proper breakfast as there were more guests. It consists of toast/watermelon, rice, baked beans one morning, noodles. Have to get there when breakfast starts as I got the impression they don't refill the trays once it is gone. It is close to a mosque as well so you get your early morning wake up call - not ideal if you are a light sleeper. Grab is only 8RM to Melaka Sentral - better than a taxi which is 30RM Overall it is cheap and a great location so if you don't mind a less than flash accommodation option then it will do the job but I would not stay there again.

We stayed at the TF Riverside for a night in May. This happened to be during Ramadan. The entrance from the street has steps up to reception (there is a steepish ramp, too steep for a wheelchair unless assisted by a strong person). We were able to check in without any issues. There's a car park under the hotel but there is no direct access from the car park into the hotel. We were allocated rooms on the 3rd floor overlooking the main road rather than the riverside. The lifts were functional but a little bumpy. The hotel was refurbished about a year ago, and whilst what is there is clean and OK, it's more towards a budget set up, and the furniture looked fairly tired. However a really basic annoyance in the room was the lack of and location of power outlets. There was a power outlet just above the floor level behind the fridge, and another about 1m above the floor halfway between the bed and the window in the middle of nowhere. The kettle (provided in the room) couldn't be plugged in unless you held it in mid-air whilst boiling or moved furniture to the outlet between the bed and window, or you moved the fridge. Whilst I can understand that the cost of moving power outlets isn't a minor thing, surely this should have been sorted out when the hotel was refurbed about a year ago? And could easily be mitigated for limited expense by providing a couple of multi-outlet power bars to provide desktop power by the fridge and bedside. The bathroom was again clean but fairly basic. Oh, and the hot water was barely warmer than ambient temperature both evening - which we reported the receptionist - but the issue still persisted the next morning. We had booked two rooms, and the power and hot water issues were the same in both rooms. After checking in we left the hotel for a wander aroound the city - which is gorgeous, and easily walkable from the hotel. As we left the hotel and walked initally along the riverside we could see an Iftar buffet being set up by the hotel on their riverside dining area, and the selection of food looked to be impressive and comprehensive. We got back to the hotel having had dinner elsewhere with friends and saw the tail end of the Iftar buffet, and looked forward to our breakfast the next morning. However, we were to be disappointed. When we got down for breakfast the next monring, we were presented a menu card of five items, of which two - the nasi lemak and rice porridge congee were unavailable. We've been at hotels when low occupancy means it's uneconomic to run a full buffet, and I completely understand this - but usually in these situations you get presented a decent list of whats available and a commitment provided they have the ingredients within reason they will try their best to make something for you. Considering what we had seen the previous evening we knew the hotel could do seriously good food, and the previous reviews of the good food back this up. We arrived at this hotel at about 2.30p.m. and we tried our luck to check in earlier than 3p.m.. Guess what~ we were allowed to check in at 2.35p.m. since the room was ready! This hotel is just about 15 minute walk from the jonker street, which means it is neither secluded nor crowded. Some famous restaurants and attractions are just within walking distance e.g. the Ban Lee Siang restauran (satay celup) is just 3 min walking distance from the hotel itself. If you dislike walking or you are travelling with family members, then maybe this hotel isn't good enough for you, otherwise it is just great for you to exercise a bit. And we were enjoying the street view and the building while walking from one destination to the next. The hotel environment was clean and it always smell good. The lighting was great and basic amenities were in good condition. Room was clean and in good condition (just the bathroom door lock was a bit loosen). Overall, it is good.

The view from my room is beautiful, can see Melaka River and all city 🫶🏻… Free parking provided for guest(sharing park with swiss gardeen hotel,Level 7&8) But to be honest for staycation is just nice, u do not expect to much yaa.. The room i got level 31-092, air-conditioning not properly functioning. The designer for bathroom wall(are glasses) not suitable for family or friends to stay together unless a married couple. Because you all can see transparency thru the glass, no binder provided and also the bathroom door no doorknob yaa. You guys can imagine, no privacy😅 Yes, for the lift until August 2024 there is not improvement despite a lot of complaint 🤒 It can be ages to waiting for the lift.

Enjoyed the good breakfast here ,especially the coffee machine available to have a cup of coffee in the morning. Hotel room was clean but a bit dirty on the towel . The service team was great and friendly. A bit disappointed was the swimming pool is small and close early .

Clean hotel, simple but beautiful deco. The room is okay, the toilet is clean. Complete with bathroom equipment. Iron and hair dryer provided. Breakfast food is very tasty. The pool is best suited for children's pools, but if you can provide chairs near the pool, it's okay. The staff is okay. Reasonable price. Check-in check-out is easy, you don't have to wait long. Will repeat again later. Overalls are the best 👍

The hotel is in a convenient location, but parking is quite troublesome. The room is managed separately from the hotel, requiring us to park in an opposite lot, which is about a 10-minute drive to the highest floor. Unfortunately, the room was not clean. The toilet also needed attention, and there was a persistent odor reminiscent of dampness that we couldn't eliminate, even after purchasing a freshener. Additionally, there were stains on the walls and throughout the room. I provided feedback to the management, but it appears my message went unnoticed. On a positive note, the room does offer a great view of the river and the city and the bed is very comfortable.

Love it so much, we stayed here for 3 days 2 nights, the rooms are very clean, wide and equipped with basic equipments and electrical appliances such as microwave, electrical stove, fridge, washing machine and TV. You will be assigned one unique parking lot for each unit after checked in. Customer service is so excellent and efficient. The view is pretty nice, can even see Encore Melaka from our unit. Will come here again next time.
