The room is impeccable. I stayed there twice. The first time, there was a small incident at the front desk, but the hotel handled it very quickly. The second time, there was a problem with room 2? I contacted the hotel and they made adjustments immediately after leaving.

Love the room and the English feel to it. As for location wise, it is definitely very convenient place with local of shops nearby.
On the not so good side, senior staff of the hotel actually needs service training. I did not have a great encounter with one of them.

A very nice castle hotel. The service staff was very enthusiastic. There was no discrimination or impolite behavior. They were very nice to us. I couldn't speak a word of English, but they still took me to the room seriously and enthusiastically. The room was tall and there was no unhygienic place.

Wow! This is truly the best hotel in Manchester! Every room is unique. The rooms on the first floor have high ceilings which gives it a grandeur feel. The staff are excellent and really pull the stops out to make your stay here extra special. The complimentary drink to meet other hotel patrons between 5-6pm is a welcomed touch. The food in the Refuge restaurant is of a high standard and I can honestly say that their Sunday Roasts are one of the best I have ever had. Breakfast was also of excellent quality. Sunday evening live jazz in the bar creates a great vibe. What I truly like about this 5* hotel is the atmosphere. Unlike most hotels, this hotel does not have that lifeless clinical feel that the majority of hotels who are catering to business clients. There restaurant and bars are of a quality where you would want to go even if you are not lucky enough to stay in the hotel. I would definitely recommend a stay here.
