Everything else was fine, except for the poor WiFi signal and the room key cards frequently not working after being reprogrammed. It's a hotel with great value for money, and while it has its flaws, they are tolerable.

This is a Japanese style hotel which gives every essentials at a budget.

I’m honestly shocked by how terrible this hotel was. The breakfast area was unbelievably dirty, crowded, and chaotic — it felt more like a poor dormitory or even a jail cafeteria than a hotel. Everything was messy and disorganized. The area around the hotel felt extremely unsafe and creepy, with men harassing women in the street. The hotel itself looked more like a rundown motel, definitely not a real 3-star hotel. One of the worst stays I’ve ever had.

This was an extension of my stay at this hotel; I was completely satisfied with everything.

The staff were extremely helpful, and the location offers excellent access to Marseille Saint-Charles Station. The food was great as well. I would highly recommend Toyoko Inn for anyone visiting Marseille.

Decent cleanliness as well as toiletries, it was a little too small. Helpful concierge who gave us a map.

Arriving from the Marseille bus station, we were not sure how to get to the hotel without climbing the steps. See photo. Later on, when I asked reception staff, he says we could go the opposite direction to the train station without using the steps. We used the gate shown jn the photo to get to the tram in the city centre. My room has a view of "the church on a hill" in the distance. See photo.

The toilet seat was broken and wouldn’t stay open, so it kept falling down while I was sitting on it. It kept touching my back, which was really gross.

Nice hotel only location doesn’t seemed safe to walk around at night. Good gated private car park. Decent size room, bathroom is very much like hotels in Japan. Value for money inclusive of breakfast.

A bit old-fashioned and the location isn't great.

This is a basic hotel but it has what you need for a comfortable stay: - the room is clean - internet is good - bed is comfortable - Japanese-style toilet! - Ethernet cable in room - desk in room - friendly and helpful staff - washing machine room for guests A bonus is that the buffet breakfast is always included in the price. There were vegan options but no plant-based milk (such as oat milk) was provided. I had already stayed in the Frankfurt version of this hotel. The Frankfurt version had a better breakfast and some room things were missing in the Marseille branch.

Overall, it's pretty good. The location is excellent, with the Old Port and train station both within walking distance. The room facilities are quite basic, and breakfast is just average. However, the front desk service was very good.

Good location for those who need to catch the train on the next day. Clean room. Safe inside the hotel. Good for solo traveler.

There were a lot of homeless people around the hotel, so I wouldn't recommend it for solo female travelers. The hotel was very rigid; even though I arrived around 1:30 PM, they insisted check-in wasn't until 2:00 PM. I went out for a bit, and when I came back, there was a large tour group, so I didn't actually get to check in until 4:00 PM. The hotel hallways and rooms had a strange odor, and breakfast was very basic.
