Dogo Prince Hotel Reviews

We wanted to experience Dogo Onsen and this was a great choice (albeit expensive because it was a holiday weekend). The hotel is lovely and the service is beyond excellent. The staff was super kind as we are English speakers. Plus, we really enjoyed the hotels onsens better than the ones in town (the Dogo Onsen is being renovated and only one room was open for each gender; the same was the case with the Annex). The hotels onsens were lovely and the private outdoor onsen was a really lovely experience. We also took advantage of their convenient bus service into town although it’s only a 10 minute walk and we walked multiple times. Highly recommend!

The best of this hotel is to provide free shuttle bus to Dogo Onsen station.

Hotel has some distance from the main Dogo mall but it has shuttle bus running every 10 mins from 3-10. Hotel itself is very clean and most of the staff were so friendly and carried traditional Japanese good manner. My room is Japanese style and I love it. The breakfast was ok but the dinner was abundant, delicious and presented nicely. The staff named Itsuki Deguchi who took care my check in and dining service did a good job worthy to receive compliments. Onsen was clean and very nice. Will stay again next time

It is a short distance away from Dogo Hot Spring Street, but the hotel shuttle bus is very cute and frequent, and it is also very pleasant to walk back and forth after meals. The rest of the hotel services, hot spring facilities, and accommodation environment are excellent👍

The location was good and comfortable~

Anyway the service was good. Bus transfer, faucet juice, breakfast buffet, all-you-can-drink alcohol and all-you-can-eat snacks room. All were excellent. The ryokan was also polite and pleasant.

I was able to relax in the free lounge in the hotel, the food was very good, and it was easy to get to the Dogo Onsen main building and the surrounding shopping district by shuttle bus.

It's a little far from Dogo Onsen Station, so I was worried about access, but a retro shuttle bus runs every 10 minutes, so I was able to get there smoothly. The hotel was built nearly 50 years ago, but the hot springs and other facilities have been renovated and are very enjoyable. The staff were also very friendly. There is the Dogo Prince Hotel Lounge in front of Dogo Onsen Station, and there are free luggage lockers, but depending on the time of day they may be full and unavailable. (There is a tourist information center nearby where you can leave your luggage for 500 yen.)

I went there after seeing reviews saying it was suitable for families. My child seemed to like the ball pool and spent a long time playing there. There were many services that children would enjoy, such as all-you-can-eat orange juice and popcorn in the lounge, and making udon noodles (by stomping on them) in the evening. We had meals in our room, so we were able to relax without worrying. It was about a 10-minute walk to the shopping street of Dogo Onsen, but it was uphill to the hotel. There was a shuttle bus between the hotel and the shopping street, but it only left at 3pm. I was a little bothered by the smell of the toilet in the room. There are many other hotels in Dogo, so I don't think I will return.

This is my second time staying here. I was looking forward to the baths, which seem to have been renovated, but was they always so small? The Manga Bath and the Mikan Ball Bath aren't really baths. The coffee lounge is also a bit less than when I was here before. I wish they had orange juice and Pon Juice.

This was my second time staying here after a dozen years. The building was a little old in places, but the large public bath was clean and spacious, and there were many types of shampoo available, which was very useful. I used a room with an open-air bath, which was just the right size for one person. The temperature of the large public bath and the room bath was just right, so I was able to relax. The amount of dinner was enough to fill my stomach as a couple, and the breakfast buffet had a wide variety of options, and the venue was spacious so we could relax. We used the free alcohol service in the lounge on the upper floor, but I wish there was a wider variety. The young staff were also very lively and left a good impression. Thank you very much.

I made a reservation through JTB and was upgraded to a very nice room. The hot springs, food, and service were all of a high standard.
