Booked 2 executive suite x2 nights for an affordable price. Basic hotel under the the Marriott brand. Location not that great as compared to other hotels in Medan City Centre, not walking distance to any amenities/convenience stores. Security was great as expected, so you’ll be safe staying here. Checked in at 5.30pm yet one out of two rooms was still not ready. The bathtub was dirty with hair and dirt on it, probably due to housekeeping rushing to clean rooms. There is banks directly in the hotel facility, so if you need to withdraw cash it is very convenient. Overall: 2.5/5

We only stayed at this hotel because we were attending a wedding reception being held there. I have stayed in more than 150 hotels around the world and for the first time I was required to pay a refundable deposit for a remote control for the A/C. The bathroom is exceedingly tiny. My cat couldn't swing a cat in it. There was no hot water at 5:00pm after we had travelled 5 hours to get there and really needed to freshen up. On our way to dinner, I asked at reception about this and was told that due to ”technical problems” we could only have hot water from 6 - 8AM and from 6 - 8PM. I explained that I did not know about this. The receptionist then showed me a document that I had not seen nor been shown when checking in that explained the situation. I suggested that guests should be informed about this when checking in. Miraculously, the 'technical problems' were resolved the following morning. The staff were not aware of what was happening at the property. We asked if there was live music. The receptionist directed us to two venues on the property, but each was closed. Only the disco was open. The food in the restaurant was mediocre at best. They try to do this barbeque thing at the table, but it fails to deliver. There were plenty of plates, cups, glasses and so on, but only one spoon. There's no light above the cabinet where you make tea or prepare snacks etc. The light above the makeup / grooming mirror was not working. They clearly don't check that everything is working when they clean the rooms. The furniture, carpets, cabinetry, wall coverings etc are very dated. However, the bed was comfortable and the wall covering behind the bed was relatively new. There's no safe in the room. I know that safes are expense and there are always technical problems, but pretty much every property that says it's 4-star has a room safe. The worst part from a safety perspective is that the elevator doors close within a very short time. I injured my arm as the door closed on me within 5 or so seconds and hit me quite hard. A petite granny could have been seriously injured. No-one seems to care. It's an obvious problem and should have been fixed. The restaurant did not stock beer or wine or any other alcoholic beverage. It's a property that management doesn't seem to care about. The staff are helpful, willing, courteous and respectful, but not properly trained. This is a sign that management or ownership doesn't give a toss.

The restaurant in Aryaduta called The Kitchen, I have tried their Watermelon Yogurt, and it was delicious. I couldn't finish and ask them pack for me, they even take the initiative to send it to my room. Very good service.

Generally not soundproofed. The facilities are relatively old. The service is pretty good. It meets the standards of a budget hotel.

We were in Medan just for a couple of nights and the Kama hotel suited our budget. Since Medan is a city full of hotels and there's always something to suit everyone's budget, I feel some of the poor reviews on Kama Hotel was unjustified. The room was clean... felt secure... beds were comfortable... bathroom clean and modern. The buffet breakfast was included in the price and it was nothing flash but pretty good for a budget hotel. Will definitely book again if we visit Medan again!

More than 10 years ago I was a very regular visitor of the Dharma Deli Hotel. Having seen from the outside some changes we decided to check out the Grand Inna Hotel, just for the fun of it. Walking in the hotel I noted the De Boer plaquette, which I appreciated. At first glance walking to the Reception nothing changed. A later closer inspection learned that the Karaoke Bar disappeared, the rooms in the back have been demolished and the swimming pool got a new location and the relocation of the restaurant. However, what really changed was the age of the staff, much much younger and everywhere very friendly and service oriented. This very well compensating for some issues which have been reported upon by other reviewers. A few remarks: Positive: The windows in our room could be opened The WIFI was perfect The Steamboat, quality/price wise, turned out much better than expected Location. A few steps away from Merdeka walk Breakfast suggestion: With minimum efforts the Continental Breakfast spread can be much improved. Start with a freshly baked crispy baquette, put in some good cheese and cold cut meat and possibly some beef bacon. Looking at the total package, cost and quality wise, I am happily giving the Grand Inna 5 stars.

Decent facilities. One of the best hotels in town in my opinion. Breakfast was very decent, located at a convenient hotel. Considered to be reasonably priced compared to other international hotels in Jakarta.

There is ongoing lobby renovation at the lobby side which make it inconvenience . The room is standard and the locatiom is close to hawker food area in semarang or selat panjang. The breakfast is also variative with many special medanese local food.

Reviews some points from other travelers. Choose this hotel for visiting medan town. The room is smelly and hk no change bedsheets either pillow case. No replace amenities toiletries. no tissue roll until i need to get from their HK store room. Water pressure was too slow . Breakfast was so so.. only i 💕 is kelupis.. the trainee was so efficient to clean the table even if you did not finish your meal yet🥴... One of the staff should be recognized sincerely due to i left my purse at restaurants and she kept my purse. Thanks to her! .. concierge needs to change to young people. Don't look at all the guests stranger.

I really subscribe to this hotel, this is the umpteenth time I've stayed here, I really like it, the facilities are all new🤗 the place is comfortable, clean, strategic, the staff are friendly and they got to know me because I've often stayed here🤩 the room prices are pocket friendly, you can get breakfast again🤗
