Hotels Near Biblioteca Pública "Japón" in Mexico City

Stayed 7 nights with my partner at this wonderful hotel, which is centrally located (10 minute walk to the main Zocalo square with lots of shopping nearby) and has a very good bar/restaurant on-site. The rooms are new with firm beds, thick towels and linens, a hot shower, daily maid service, a medium-sized safe that can hold a tablet, good climate control, and a Nespresso coffee machine. A filtered water dispenser to refill water bottles is quite the advantage in the lobby. The gym on the 2nd floor is modern with very usable equipment, and is located next to an outdoor terrace. The breakfast buffet was very good with several choices. Antonio and Nayla provided excellent customer service during breakfast, and Antonio also alerted me to breakfast options that were healthier for my sensitive stomach. The lobby staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall, I rate this hotel an 8 or 9 out of 10 and would definitely stay here again. That being said, I would like to offer some suggestions to Novotel to make the hotel room a bit better for travelers. This new, minimal hotel room concept means that there are no dresser drawers for storing clothing, and there’s only one spot in the hanging metal “closet” for storing one suitcase - the other person must put their suitcase on the floor . One must live out of their suitcase during the entire stay, which is very annoying. This can easily be remedied by having more hangers (10 instead of 5?) in the closet, and having one or two folding luggage racks available. Also, another side table is needed beside the bed, since there’s only one. The person sleeping on the left side of the bed must put their water, glasses, phone, etc. on the floor, since there’s no side table, or place their items far away on the desk. Also, the thick towels keep falling off the three very lame wooden towel “knobs”. These knobs need to be replaced or extended outward in order to be able to hold a load. I would hang up my wet towel and it would immediately fall onto the floor. We fought with this the entire week. The hotel would save a lot of money by not having to wash towels every day that have fallen onto the floor. Additionally, perhaps for an upcharge, a small refrigerator could be placed in the room. These minor issues did not affect our overall satisfaction of this hotel.

Everything is fine, except for some minor misunderstandings on the part of the management. I originally reserved a single bed, but when I arrived I wanted to change to a private room, so I needed to pay extra. A room is 100 yuan more per night than the price reserved on the Trip platform. This price is a bit expensive, but it is shared. The bathroom and the room are not too big. On the first night, after the room was air-conditioned, there was a smell from the toilet. There was some argument when I asked to change rooms. The girl with glasses kept saying that there was no room to change, and her attitude was not positive! Later that night I really couldn't stand the smell, so I asked to change rooms again. Fortunately, I changed the waiter, and he easily said that he had a room to change. Finally, the environment is very good. There are different free programs every day. You can also meet people from different countries. I really like the atmosphere here!

The city view room has an incomparable view. Sitting by the window, you can have a panoramic view of Syntagma Square and the Cathedral, and you can have an unobstructed view of the excitement of the Day of the Dead. Although it is an old building, the interior is well maintained. The breakfast in the restaurant on the top floor is okay, and the coffee bar on the first floor can also provide simple meals. The only drawback was that I stayed in a corner room, and the top floor restaurant was upstairs. There was a sound of chairs being dragged around at around 7 o'clock in the morning.

We started our road trip with this hotel for 3 nights and we are not disappointed. The hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable. The only bemol is that for those who like me are of hot chocolate, they don't use it ^^ and they don't have any confectionery, but butter is to be asked. The front desk is very friendly, especially the uncle in the restaurant who can speak a word or two in Chinese. He knew that we were from China and needed tissues and brought them to us himself. The uncle at the front desk will also help with luggage and call taxis. The staff are very nice. The only drawback is that there is backflow in the bathroom, dirt will be found the next day, and a toothbrush is found in the toilet (I am sure it was not caused by us). Maybe it's just a problem with this room, I hope this can be improved

Excellent stay here. You couldn’t ask for a better location in Polanco. It’s in the heart of the neighborhood surrounded by restaurants and only steps from Parque Lincoln. The hotel is in a renovated apartment building, and they did an outstanding job. Great attention to detail and hotel is beautiful, modern and comfortable. Besides the location, the highlight of this hotel is its personalized and warm service. Angel the concierge is exceptional and Rodrigo at the front desk was most welcoming and helpful. A couple of negatives were the mattresses….way too soft with a lot of padding along with a very spartan gym….they could add some more equipment. Other than that, I have only good things to say about Kimpton Virgilio.

The price/performance ratio is absolutely high. If you bring breakfast and we don’t understand Spanish, it’s best to look at the breakfast ordered by other guests. If you order a breakfast you like, you will feel happy

400 yuan a night! Although it is not expensive in the local area, it is a bit worse than the domestic one. The domestic 400 yuan is more luxurious than this! Orders are placed on the same journey and Trip , the same journey can be couponed, which is cheaper! I have to complain about Trip here, it is very bad! Poor service, poor problem solving!
