I never write reviews, and as I wrap up my last day here and it didn't improve I feel compelled. I was here on business, but I did have a choice and as a Gold elite Bonvoy, I opted for this place. (not that my status is particularly impressive, but I am loyal) My room was a side view, that's fine we often get crappy/no view rooms, but with the industrial grey decor it felt like a cell. Bleak and uninviting. Iasked if they had anything else available that wasn't so dark, nope. I asked for late check out, and begrudgingly they extended till noon, The pool area had great potential but had limited seating. Areas hadn't been cleared from when people had left so it was kind of trashy and unavailable. I figured I would walk to the beach after my work day as there was no room at the pool, and take advantage of the complimentary beach chair. You can't control nature, unfortunately, the sea**** was across the entire front. The complimentary chairs actually cost $22 if you want an umbrella, and I didn't feel like investing in that at 5pm to stare at sea**** and not be able to get into the ocean. As I said, this is not the AC's fault, but it was presented and promoted as the lovely beach front/ rooftop pool oasis and was a big letdown. If I had come here on vacation I would have been so upset and disappointed. Instead, I'll chalk it up to a ugh work trip. I'll survive, but if you work hard to save for a vacation and want a touch of luxe, this is not it. The breakfast was $15 for a croissant and some fruit, I learned my lesson and relied on Starbucks for the remainder of the trip.

After I canceled my reservation at 1 hotel, because a bad experience, I found out a gem in Miami Beach ! First time in Faena but for sure not the last, very warm welcome and smooth check in. I went downstairs to explore, and for a quick breakfast and our waitress, Diana, was extremely welcoming and accommodating; we had a beautiful table with pool views, and Diana gave us very good recommendations. Service was perfect, she is charming. Very nice staff with a good vibe, all around. We are DEFINITELY coming back !!! Thank you Faena team for a memorable stay !!!!

There is no breakfast in the hotel. The downstairs is the Subway. It is very close to the beach. There is a bus stop to go north to the south beach. There are buses on the bus 2.25 knives ready for change. Good location. Shopping is also very convenient.

#positive #I was happy with the Mosquito Control Measures, Natural Light in the Room, Nearby Shops, Nearby Activities; downtown will be much cheaper, and staying for a few days is not necessary for people with limited budgets.

Palihouse itself is nice. Our room was on the 3 floor overlooking the start of the pool area. We lucked out to get a room with two sinks and a microwave and fridge. The bed was comfortable. We didn't eat here so can't commit on that. Pool area was heavily used but always had some area to sit. Now for the review issues NOT related to the hotel. The area around the hotel is under construction. The main road - Collins is a mess - make the whole area look awful. Indian Creek Drive is close for the most part though I never saw much activity on anyone working there. It really takes away from the whole experience. Even part of the boardwalk along the beach is shut down and just so messy with all the construction. I wish they could have coordinated and only closed down the section they are working on. It seems very disorganized and looks like it's going to be a couple of years at least before they are close to being done. I would avoid that area for the next couple of years unless you don't mind it. The beach was fine - water is very pretty. We drove to Haulover park a couple of the days and it was very quiet and the water was beautiful.

The staffs serve well and they’re helpful staff. The first night I couldn’t sleep because the air conditioning was too noises, and the second night I could sleep because I switched off the air conditioning. So I suggest that make mosquitoes nets to instead of sealed windows without fresh air, if use the fans to instead of noises air conditioning may be good for both of gusts and hotel(this hotel name is Freeland Hostel) I haven’t been to staying in generator hotel so no opinions for Generator Hotel.
