The room was what was expected per value. The hotel room was average, had a balcony and refrigerator. The reason why this will not average anymore than a 3/5 is because of 2 problems that were encountered with the billing/payment system at this location.
First, the hotel was booked from a third party, however, the credit card that was used for the deposit was charged for the deposit, and some other unrecognized amount ( that was not even the same as the amount already charged by the third party). The person at the front desk was unhelpful, so the transaction was addressed with the third party, who confirmed it should not have been charged.
Secondly, the security deposit actually posted to the credit card that was used 3 days later. The receipt that was given at departure showed it being credited, and there was nothing that could have warranted the keeping of deposit, the room was left in the average condition it was entered in, broken balcony door lock and all.
