Very close to station. Reception very helpful, beds good. Only downside was either the bath or breakfast were crowded when I went. I think this is a regular occurence.

The Route-Inn Morioka Ekimae is a good hotel for a stopover in Morioka. It has everything you need, his own public bath and is close to the train station and a street full of restaurants. The breakfast offered both Japanese and Western style breakfast.

I was told that I could check how crowded the room was on the TV in my room, but it was a blurry still image so I couldn't really tell.
