Everything was perfect except the behaviour of a reception guy, who insisted to get phone numbers of my foreign guest. Even though I provided the local number. This was out of any registration rules because we have stayed in many hotels in few months.

The only great thing about hotel diplomat is its location. Rest everything is a compromise. The owner a punjabi guy is aware about the location advantage and that's why he is running the hotel in a sub par manner. The overall look of the hotel rooms is of a ordinary government guest house. With old and creaky furniture, the doors of the bathroom remind you of a village sarai. The owner is very stingy. Apart from two bottles of water everyday no more water is supplied except at double the printed charge. Breakfast is very average. Nothing to write home about. The staff though well behaved feel helpless due to the bad owner.

Hotel location was good. But property was very old and under maintain condition. Room was very smelly and mini freeze was not working. Overall not good stay as per money charge.

The hotel diplomat location, room ambiance, and staff are all perfect. You have taj in front, gateway of india at 100 m. Only they need to add is gym and some extra options in breakfast
