The Oakes Hotel Overlooking the Falls Reviews

Service was average due to the fact we checked in and did the registration when we arrived. We knew we couldn’t get in until 4pm but we were told just go to the desk and tell them we had completed earlier in the day and we would get our keys without having to wait. 3 staff on at reception and two of them didn’t even look up from the screen to acknowledge we were standing there so that was disappointing as well as rude. Hotel had very nice views across the falls, we stayed on the 10th floor. Room we stayed in was a bit dated and definitely in need of some TLC. Had a heart shaped jacuzzi bath but after filling it we needed to empty it straight away as it was full of bits once we put the jets on. Definitely needs to be cleaned thoroughly.

The hotel is amazing, with spectacular views of the Falls. The staff was friendly and helpful.

We are very satisfied with this hotel. Receptionists Keithrine was very helpful and they provided us early check in and a beautiful falls view room. Surely we’ll come back to this hotel.

Everything at this hotel was very clean and tidy and the beds were very comfortable. Fantastic view from our room except for the dirty windows. Not sure why a hotel that prides itself on a view would not maintain top notch windows. Several of the windows on the 14th floor overlook had broken seals and the others were dirty. We really had a great stay here because we were on vacation, but beware - the wifi was horrible and the room had very few electrical outlets. Also, the check in process was lengthy. We waited about an hour in a line to check in on a Wednesday afternoon. The location really is great though!

It is a very strange hotel that sends its guests to stay at the Hilton across the street. Looks like it a cheap ticket to Hilton .

Did not appreciate $45 parking. If you stay here the neighbour's parking is only $15 and is covered instead of open to atmosphere. Plus an additional fee of 30ish dollars. What seemed a deal was more expensive than other hotels

Location was nice. Could go Niagara falls whithin 10 to 15 min. Could see part of the falls from the room. There was coffee service too.

Me and my girlfriend stayed in Hilton very clean just the parking is very pricey I find

We got moved to Hilton Niagara Falls as this hotel was having renovations. A little bit of a shock because we would have preferred them to inform us in advance. The view was good, room was clean. No regrets.

Booked this hotel for one night. Arrived to a HUGE line with a 20 min wait until we got up to check in... where we were told that our room was 'under maintenance', and that they've 'upgraded' us to the Hilton.. where we had to park offsite and either walk or get a shuttle to the hotel. They clearly lied and just overbooked, there was no maintenance.. as we saw several people in line with us at the Hilton who were also in line with us at the Oakes. Total waste of over an hour of my day. They always doing same thing did for me. I read review of the hotel. This hotel really wasted my precious time and enegry
