Quality Hotel Fallsview Cascade

Despite the negative reviews, we booked a king jacuzzi room on the sixth floor TOWER with a balcony. Seventh floor fireplace rooms have no balcony but may have a slightly better view during the summer months when the trees are fully leafed. We really enjoyed the illuminated American Falls in the distance from our patio door, a real treat to see from the comfort of the warm hotel room . We brought our own snacks and drinks and had very satisfying viewing of the nightly light show on the falls. The room was very clean, and had a refrigerator although there was no coffee maker (COVID would make it difficult to sanitize anyways). We preferred using the Jacuzzi tub instead of going down to the hot tub in the pool area. There was complementary coffee and tea available in the lobby, with a communal microwave to use if necessary. The bed mattress and pillows were perfect for firmness and comfort – we had the best sleep in awhile. The most outstanding amenity is the complimentary parking and location so close to the falls. Municipal parking rates are $10/hr near the falls. From this hotel, one can easily walk to either US or Canadian falls along the parkway or along the major streets. We ventured over to the ****** across the street, but it was practically deserted, although the fast food and burger restaurants were open. The breakfast is no longer the hot hotel breakfast we used to love pre-COVID, but really, breakfast buffets would be difficult to keep hygienic. Supplement the little bag breakfast supplied or go out for a splurge to one of the nearby restaurants, like the Flying Saucer. The kids will prefer it anyways. If you are expecting a 4 star hotel, go elsewhere, but for a mid-range 2 star hotel, this is a terrific hotel. The staff were kind and welcoming. This hotel is great value for money, and the location can’t be beat. We would return in a heartbeat.
