Hotels Near French searchlight position in Nice

Stylish contemporary lobby, restaurants and rooms. Good location with old town area five minute walk through park and plazas- a dozen glorious churches, great French linen and fabric store L’Epingle a Linge here. Many chic clothing stores nearby- not just Gucci etc, but small, local with exciting window displays. Pretty parks and gardens nearby. Hotel rooms have very large decks with comfortable teak furniture and great views even from rooms on side. Pick up fabulous bread, sandwiches, pastries and desserts from Armand patisserie that is two blocks away for lunch on your deck. This is a good alternative to 20 Euro/person poor lunches in area. Almost all restaurants in the area are touristy so have poor food and are expensive, but there are half a dozen Michelin restaurants within a ten minute walk that are affordable unlike Paris at 200 Euros. (Peixes, Chez Davia, Le Canailes, Fine Gueule...) This is a busy hotel that many tour companies use so there were busses constantly unloading people for the four days we were there. The front desk staff are always busy checking in guests and at check in made no eye contact and just said ”passports”, passed a paper to us to sign then said the room number. When we asked for advice twice (should we take a taxi or bus to the train station and would Monaco or Cannes be better for a day trip) the staff were dismissive and not interested in providing advice. People we talked to sitting around the bar at the end of the day said they could not get recommendations for restaurants from front desk staff. On busy oceanfront promenade with many cars but rooms are soundproofed well.

We have had an amazing stay. The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful. I was contacted a couple of days prior to our stay, because there was an issue with the payment. This mistake was completely my fault, but the hotel was very helpful and nice and we solved it in the end. When we arrived we were so fortunate to have been upgraded, despite the hassle I brought to the hotel, with the payment error. The room was amazing, and clean, and when we checked out we received a little parting gift of lavender in a pouch. The hotel is very centrally located, and I would definitely visit again! Very characteristic place. Facing the sea and leaning against the cliff. It is very convenient to go to AIDS and Monaco. But it is very inconvenient without a car.

Very nice apartment hotel, the room is not big, but the design is not bad, there are all kinds of pots, pans and cooking utensils. Next door is the Casino supermarket, it is very enjoyable to buy some local vegetables and cook for yourself. It is about 10 minutes walk from the seaside and 15 minutes walk from Galeries Lafayette.

I found this hotel because we were bringing our cat on this trip and it is listed as pet friendly. It is a bit far from the city center but if you have a car, it’s only 15 minutes drive to the Promenade des Anglais. The room is beautiful (Gatsby feel) and when we arrived, the sofa bed was already nicely prepared for my kids (10 and 16 years old). Everything was very comfortable. In the morning it was raining really hard, so we asked if we could have breakfast, despite not asking for it the day before. They did their best to accommodate us with a complete breakfast. Staffs were very friendly. Parking is convenient. My cat is happy. All in all, I really love this place.

We had booked this hotel for a concert. Excellent choice : close to the stadium , close to the tram to go to the center before the concert , close to the convenience (broadcake , bank etc) parking (free)is a real more The room was very comfortable and the room was very comfortable. Abbiamo soggiornato una notte qui, che dire, posizione comodissima, si raggiunge facilmente la stazione, il porto e subito dopo il casinò. Personale gentile e disponibile, ci hanno subito fornito indicazioni su come raggiungere i vari punti e come utilizzare gli ascensori pubblici, considerando le salite e discese di Monavo, utilissimi. Molto pulito, colazione ottima e varia dal salato al dolce. Ci hanno permesso anche di lasciare a deposito i bagagli la mattina dopo il check-in. Se dovessi ritornare a Monaco, sicuramente tornerei ad alloggiare qui

Our stay was at the end of July ,and we had a two night stay. We had two sea view rooms, with lovely views ,the rooms being clean and very comfortable. Staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. We ate in the bar and also at the Horizon Rooftop, where we had both breakfast and lunch. The breakfast is excellent, so much choice plus a chef for eggs of your choice etc. The lunch buffet is also excellent , and complimentary bottled water included. We took a trip to the beach - you get transported in a buggy so no walking , and we enjoyed our morning there - you will be allocated to The Fairmonts beds rather than choosing your position, but theses beds are complimentary. The toilet , lockers and shower facilities here are very good. We also used the pool (Nikki Beach). Again the Fairmont guests have an area of complimentary sun beds - not the large day beds directly by the pool, but for us that wasn’t a problem as ours were a little quieter. We did have a 6 year old with us and we had fun in the pool - he was the only child there though! The Fairmont is not cheap - everything is expensive…..but that is what we expected from Monte Carlo. It is in an excellent position, has a fantastic view over the hairpin, staff brilliant, food and drinks top notch, and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.
