BayVue Hotel, Resort & Suites

This place is a rip off. I made a reservation and had a change of plans. When I tried to cancel within their policy, they referred me back to the 3rd party booking service. Long story short, they kept bouncing me back and forth, with no response when I emailed them directly until it became too late and they charged me for the overnight stay anyway.

We had a great time here. Our room was one of the ones on the end of the property with a full on view of the beach. It actually has a separate bedroom from the living area. The living room has a pull out sleeper, electric fireplace, tv, breakfast table, sink, coffee machine, microwave and small refrigerator. The bed room is large and has a comfortable king bed, and another tv. You walk through the 8x8 closet to get to the bathroom. The closet only has a simple rack and shelf for coats and hats, but the whole area is useful for boots, luggage etc. The bath was clean and bright. Only thing was the hook on the back of the door was coming off. The breakfast selection was super. Bacon, large hash brown patties, scrambled eggs, link sausages, biscuits and gravy-along with waffles, cereal and toast. Coffee, milk, apple and orange juice to drink. Really can't go wrong staying here.

I stayed here in a 3rd (top) floor king-bed suite on the north side closer to the beach side of the hotel with a view out to the beach/ocean from the angled window. The room was spacious and clean. As frequently is the case with places close to the beach, the bathroom was showing some salt air aging here and and there on the metal parts, but everything was clean and otherwise well-maintained. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was more than ample and kept very well-stocked despite the hungry crowds. The bed was comfortable. The provided shampoo, conditioner, and soaps were of nice quality. The free wifi and free parking were nice to have included also. If you want to come relax in a little beach community, stay close to the beach in a place that is clean and even includes a full breakfast in its reasonable rate, then give this place a try! Since I came here for a little break to have some time to walk on the beach and enjoy the fresh ocean air, this was a nice place for me to accomplish those goals without spending tons of money on a fancy hotel room. I would stay here again when I find myself in the area again.

Yuck! Run down, poorly run, WAY overly priced and neglected property. We had the top tier suite with ocean views and the view was also of a giant garbage receptacle. Ugh….Room wasn’t stocked with basic things, front desk was anything but helpful and the elevator was sometimes working and mostly not. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

We were upgraded to a 'suite' and all we got for that was a view of the trash receptacle. A windowpane was replaced with Acrylic. No phone, no Wi-Fi. The bathroom was poorly caulked and there was a nail sticking out of the wall by the tub. What a mess. The toilet seat didn't even fit the toilet. The mattress was a joke. The pictures are dishonest. Spend your money elsewhere.
