Fantastic little place to stay, highly recommended
This property was absolutely lovely.
We booked late on our night of arrival, past 11pm, and the owner, Gino, was waiting for us when we got there.
Our room was cozy, and comfortable, but the star of the show were the three private balconies outside.
Overlooking the sea, with a great view, glorious sunshine and comfortable sofas, it was the perfect way to end an evening, and start the day.
Speaking of starting the day, Gino’s wife Rose provides a fresh breakfast in the morning you can take in the balconies, full of fresh fruit, yoghurt, breads, meats and cheeses, along with tea and coffee and the best orange juice you will have ever tried!
All in all, it’s a fantastic place to stay, and brilliant value for money.
I’d recommend it to anyone staying in the area, you won’t be disappointed!

Une semaine au paradis
Nous avons reçus un très bel accueil de Gino dès notre arrivée à l’aéroport où il est venue nous récupérer. Arrivé à la Guest House nous avons une le droit de la visite du site . Ce situant dans le centre historique de Olhao avec un charme et atmosphère chaleureuse. Équipement parfait, le logement était impeccable propre. Même des bons produits tel que Rituals pour la salle de bain.
Chaque matin un petit déjeuné absolument royal nous était préparé à l’heure demandé la veille par Rosé qui est rayonnante et pleins de bienveillance. Un vue magnifique nous attendait sur les deux toits terrasses de la Guest House .
Le première phrase de Gino en arrivant au logement avait été « bienvenue à la maison » et bien en plus de la qualité d’un hôtel, nous avons eu ce sentiment d’être chez un membre de la famille comme chez un tonton et une tata .
Vraiment au top, on sait régalé.

Très bon accueil de la part de Gino et Rosa. Très propre et convivial. Très bon emplacement proche des services, restaurants et de plages.

The house described was an apartment. The place is in a poor state of repair, missing bulbs, lamp shades missing, fragile shower door, dirty, furniture you would find in a deceased pensioners house clearance, cheap tatty linen, worn ragged towels. The Aircon was ineffective even on full if you could put up with noise. There were no curtains or blinds so the apartment in constant light from the street light fixed to the outside wall. The fundamental function of a hotel room is to enable sleep. The noise and constant light made this impossible. As we say awake we discussed if this was the worst lace we have ever stayed. The charm af a deceased estate and the facilities a bankok backpackers hostel. It was 2nd worst behind a similarly disappointing hovel in Venice.

I never stayed, to be clear. I had a reservation, I arrived after a long flight and wondering around some confusing streets, ready to get to my room and relax but I was treated like dirt from the moment I approached the entrance. I was blocked from entering, told the hotel was full and I was 'confused' if I believed I had a booking. I was then made to wait outside, the door locked so I couldn't get in I guess! and then the smug man eventually sauntered back at which point I was in contact with *******, with whom I made the booking, and walked away. ******* later told me the hotel cancelled the booking the day before I arrived but I had no notifications. Whilst I'm sorting things out with *******, the man followed me a few streets away from the hotel and told me I needed to 'change my attitude to travel' and that I did not have a reservation. I really wanted to tell him to f--- off but I held my tongue and just focused on getting ******* to sort out the mess. Any smug, hostile, and sloppy admin - that's my experience of this guest house. Super disappointed as it looked lovely and I was looking forward to my break.

Notre première surprise fût d être accueil par Gino (ex compatriote Belge) francophone ! Celui ci nous a conseillé pour ce week-end portugais Le déjeuner réalisé par son épouse Rosa (réalisé le matin même)bien fournis était amplement suffisant !

The manager rented our room to other people and warned us at the last minute. We were furious, especially since he wanted to relocate us to a rotten place!!! Unless the photos on the site are not his property. To flee !! I do not recommend this type of person!!!

This amazing guest house is a fabulous home away from home! Not only are the rooms extremely clean, they have all the facilities you require for a very comfortable stay. The location of the guest house is absolutely perfect, with everything right on your doorstep or a couple minutes walk away. The breakfast served each morning on the stunning roof terrace is absolutely delicious, 11/10! All fresh local produce and the serving very generous. The best part of this guest house are the amazing hosts, Gino and Rose. From the moment I was picked up from the airport I was given a very welcome by Gino and Rose was extremely helpful in providing me with recommendations for things to do and places to eat. They truly make you feel right at home and are so willing to give you their time to ensure you have the best stay possible. I've travelled the world solo and not often do I become so attached to a place in such a short period of time but I truly feel that Zenit Guest House is my Portugese home. Thank you for everything Gino and Rose, I already look forward to my next stay with you!
