The property is centrally located and a must visit if you are interested in Victorian architecture. The property is arguably from the British Era(at-least the Victorian suits). The suit rooms are huge and are carved in wood from floor to ceiling. They have an amazing restaurant and the food is yum. F&B manager Bede and his team including Rajesh were ever ready to attend to all our need. I wish Bede managed the entire property as his personal touch was there in every meal served in the restaurant. Veeramuthu from house keeping is another staff who goes extra mile to satisfy his inmates. A must stay in case you are visiting Ooty. NB- try to book suit rooms as there is no balcony attached to the the rooms in this hotel.

Please read my honest review, I stayed in this hotel for 3 days, 2 Nights and this is what I experienced. I have mentioned few points that are having positive and negative feedback of mine and it’s only my honest feedback and you may experience different than me. 1. No lift in hotel. 2. No water bottles in room, one small hot water container is there and every time you need to call them to get it. That even only hot water and no normal water. Only hot water without mixing normal water is not possible and when I asked them to give some normal water they denied that they don’t have it, you will only get hot water. 3. No coffee, tea maker in room. 4. No room service. 5. Room size is good. 6. Bed size is small. 7. Washroom is good and also they have geyser. 8. Hotel is old construction property but positive thing is it’s located in road side and nearest to the traffic signal, you can walk to the market anytime and negative thing is in balcony only busy road view you will get not beautiful Ooty gardens or mountains. 9. No one will come to clean the room, I don’t know may be you need to ask them if they will provide you. I didn’t get that. 10. Reception or room service number is not there in room so you will not get to know whom to contact if anything required. You will get only food menu and land phone but no phone numbers in it. For water I googled their number and called them which was even out of 3 numbers they picked one number. 11. Location is near to botanical garden and rose garden. The botanical garden is very close from this hotel and it’s in walkable distance. 12. I will not recommend this hotel for such major issues, I will suggest to go with any other hotel where you will get peace, good view, good room service etc. 13. Car parking is available. 14. If you are ready to accept such service and issues then you can go with them.

Nice location. Good size room with seperate sitting areA. Good services, Prompt staff . Good food at economical prices. The only thing I didn't liked was the bathroom. Though it was neat but with no shower. No soap in bathing area. Shower gel dispenser was placed at basin side . So was difficult. Geyser was too small ,with very little hot water. And the funny thing was ,it produces scary noise every time you open the tap . Little ammendment in the bathroom can give complete satisfaction to the client.

It was a terrible experience for me and my family staying in this hotel. After doing some research and reading review, we booked this hotel after finding deal on TripAdvisor through Agoda @around 12K a day (19 May - 21 May). The booking was done for a 3BHK Villa. When we reached the reception, no one was there (First Surprise) . I had to wait for around 5 minutes and then the Receptionist cum Manager came. (Obviously when the reception was deserted so no one was there to pick my call). After that the check-in was smooth. The surprise started once we started going to the villa. The second surprise was that We had to cross the full muddy area to reach the room. In the way , we had to pass through , what seems like never cleaned stairs. The property badly needs maintenance. The Shock came when we saw that the room was not cleaned after the previous occupant might have left. The bedsheet and blanket covers were dirty. The hairs and all was still there. The bathrooms were dirty too. It was already dark and when we complained, attended (who came to leave us till room ) said that someone will come , but eventually no one came. Next Shock – In the evening power got cut and after waiting for couple of minutes, I thought to call the reception (hope against hope) but the intercom was dead. I had to walk till reception in dark and rain to check what is happening. They said that last night the wires got cut and hence the intercom is not working for my villa. The manager gave his cell number to contact whenever I need too. He also informed that the generator is there but they are arranging the Diesel to start it up. Next Shock – We ordered the dinner from the hotel , the food was half cooked. Finally I had to order in night via Zomato/Swiggy. Next Shock – They do not have any travel desk who can arrange a taxy for you (anyway this one is comparatively smaller shock 😊) But the manager called an Auto next morning. Next Shock – In the morning, the plumbing of two of the three bathrooms went wrong. So we all whole family used Single Bathroom). While going away, I informed Vincent about all issue, (cleanliness and bathroom) and he assured that he will do something. This is different that when I returned in evening, the same bedsheet were on the bed. The bathroom plumbing were fixed only to be broken next morning. Next Shock – Vincent is the Manager cum receptionist cum full in-charge , but getting him was a big challenge. Most of the time he was no in the reception and not picking his cell phone. My intercom was still not working till I checked out. Only good thing that , they allowed my car to be parked till 1 PM on the check out date . I really appreciate it. Overall : It was an overly priced and a poorly maintained and managed resort. Far from city and finding any means to get out from here is a challenge . Very bad experience for me.

We had booked 4 rooms for family trip and rooms were maintained decent enough. The property is easy to locate opposite to the rose garden. Property has space for 14-15 cars parking but will have to hand over the keys as cars will be parked in driveway too. Rooms have basic facilities and make your stay comfortable. Walls on passage had lot of dampness and at places there was water on the floor. Separation walls between rooms must be thin as we can clearly hear out side noise, despite closing all doors and windows. So if you have a noisy co-guest in the property, your peace is out of reach. Restaurant has very limited options and needs improvement in both service and taste
