From the soft music greeting me as I walked up to the front door to the warm fire once I stepped inside, there was an inexplicable joy that permeated Mayhurst Estate. The hosts, Jason and Casey, are equally warm and the homemade hot breakfasts are delicious! I have traveled to Virginia three times to stay at Mayhurst (once for one of Casey’s retreats) and I always look forward to my next stay! Highly Recommend.

Our stay at Mayhurst Estate was a dream. The historic manor house is a wonderful find, the grounds were beautiful (and lots of fun with badminton and croquet), and some very frisky goats. The highlight of our stay was the exceptional hospitality of the Casey. She was incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond with stories, s'mores and apple cider. Her delicious breakfast was a delightful way to start the day.

The experience at Mayhurst is unlike any other... from the moment you walk in the front door you feel transported into a peaceful, charming, romantic oasis where you can leave your troubles at the door. The breakfasts are delicious, the rooms comfortable and absolutely stunning, the hosts are sweet and friendly (they really go above and beyond to make your stay personable and the best it can be!), and the grounds are so beautiful, especially in the Fall! I went with my mom and sister for a girl's trip and we loved every minute. James Madison's Montpelier is just down the road so it was fun to check that out as well.

We liked the quiet atmosphere. The history of the Inn is so interesting.
Emma was a wonderful hostess.
Only one thing, we like a bar of soap for bathing and none was provided. Seems like such a little thing, but we have noticed several establishments have stopped providing.

My sister and I enjoyed a beautiful weekend at Mayhurst. Casey and the Mayhurst family were so helpful and welcoming. The property is even more beautiful than pictured. Breakfasts were delicious! We loved sitting on the veranda. The soft classical music, access to bottled water, and 24/7 coffee made our stay extra comfortable.

Quiet and calm in a very elegant, beautiful, and comfortable house. Breakfasts were well prepared and tasty. Food was simple, though without choices, just adequate, but without variety and character. Portions were small. No evening treats or cookies, but beverages were available. Unlike other B&Bs where we have stayed the hosts never welcomed us or even appeared for greeting during our two day stay.

Very relaxing and peaceful place. Casey was very accommodating and hospitable with lots of helpful information. Breakfast was great! The grounds were wonderful with lots of spaces sit and rest in a hammock.I would definitely stay again.
