Visit the town of Oxford University first, and then go to the hotel. I went there in the name of Hilton. There are various winding roads and it is raining, but the hotel itself is not bad, the breakfast is OK, and there are parking spaces.

The first person we fell in love is the manager Daniel Kiss. even we have never got a chance to meet him in person. Very pleasant and helpful with booking our stay. Always replied our email promptly. The second person is his colleague. It’s a shame we never got his name. Very helpful and friendly upon check in. Love smiling ☺️. Helped us retrieve key and open the door to our hotel. The room is very big and clean. It has everything you need inside the room. Even microwave. Plates and utensils. Bathroom is very clean. We stayed at the main floor. Not noisy even our room is facing main road. There’s a bus stop just right in front of the hotel. My husband and I enjoy walking. So We walked all the way to the city center and basically walk as far as our legs can take us. We will definitely go back again and highly recommended. Shame I don’t have any photos of the hotel.

The clerk is very friendly. The room is not big but relatively clean. It is quite far from the city. You need to walk a little to buy food. It is a residential area and relatively quiet. The shop is relatively exquisite and can be considered a British characteristic. Although it is small, it has all the necessary features. There are three parking spaces in the front and back yards, and they can also park in the one next door that also belongs to them.

The hotel is located in a convenient location where we can easily commute around the city centre and the Bicester village. Sadia was really nice and helpful. She greeted us with a warm welcome. Rooms were quite small but they are clean and tidy. Overall, it was a great time staying at the hotel.

My partner and I had a lovely stay at The George. Lovely dinner - good range on the menu including lots of alcohol free drink options. The bed was really comfortable and it was a lovely cozy room with great amenities.
Lovely location - Dorchester is beautiful! We loved the community farm just up the road with a lovely cafe and alpacas among others. Lovely countryside surrounding Dorchester and lovely cycle route to Oxford on the NCR5.
Thanks George Hotel for a lovely stay!

We stayed for two evenings in May to visit Blenheim palace. We had two rooms, both superior, one on the first floor of the pub and one leading out to the front. Both rooms were beautiful; the one outside had very low ceilings and beams (ok for us as we’re not tall), with a big clawfoot bath and a walk in wardrobe. It also had the most stunning fireplace that backs on to the one in the pub. The other room had a huge 6ft bed and a very big walk in shower. Both were incredibly comfortable and we slept well both nights. We ate at the pub both evenings; the first night a young chap was managing the restaurant, he and the team did a phenomenal job. The service and the food was superb. He second evening we shared the steak (we had two between the four of us) and it was amazing. Again the food and service was fabulous. On the Saturday we were the only ones eating breakfast, the service was prompt and the food delicious. However the breakfast on the Sunday was an absolute disaster; the chap who seated us (I didn’t catch his name but he had an overseas accent) took our order and then we waited…. We waited and waited as he seated others, took their orders and their breakfasts came while we waited. The room wasn’t full, there were about 5 other tables seated (and he walked past us several times and looked at the table). When we asked him, he blamed the kitchen then went to find out what had happened. He came back and apologised and said it would be with us shortly (to be clear, two of us were only having toast!) only for us to have to chase again. An hour had gone by and we still had no breakfast (every other table had come and gone by then. After chasing a second time, he brought out one cooked breakfast (with the wrong eggs) and an omelette (the other order was for poached eggs on toast), oh and then the toast! We explained this was wrong so he blamed the kitchen again and then said he’d get them to make poached eggs but we said we’d rather not have rushed poached eggs (and to be honest it had been over an hour, we had to get off). There was an almighty row going on between him and the kitchen (I imagine the order simply hadn’t made it and then he’d guessed). We were gutted, it had been such a lovely stay with two fabulous meals and great service and it ended like that. We were told that a guest had a flat battery and they were trying to help out with that, but to me there’s no excitement for that level of service in a breakfast room where only 5 tables have taken breakfast. When I checked out he apologised it did not make eye contact. I really wanted to be writing a positive review and like I said the majority of the stay was super, to the point we’d discussed returning g. However that wouldn’t happen now, which is a shame.

We previously stayed at another location for the Artist's Residence and loved it. This hotel felt as if someone had shown up ten years ago with some design ideas, and then never returned. Our room was not clean with a dirty rug on the floor, an unclean toilet and dusty window sills, which really ****** given that there was a heatwave when we stayed. There were no fans available (we were told that there were fans but they were all in use) which meant we had to sleep with the windows open and the smell of cigarette smoke from the garden below. Breakfast was odd, with cold toast, avocado that may have been frozen and patchy service. Our waiter was the same person who later came to make up our room (which was not really made up). They may have staff shortages but whatever the cause, I felt that the experience offered poor value and had plenty of ******* given the fact that we have stayed at other luxury hotels nearby for the same price with far better service.

A gem of a hotel. I found this hotel by accident on a google search. The website was easy to use and bonus it's pet friendly! The welcome was very good and the room was spacious and immaculately clean. Tea/coffee in the room and a bottle of water. TV is positioned so that you can comfortably watch it in bed without straining your neck. There is an iron and board in the room too, A large glass of rose wine was only £7.00. Best of all... the Indian food was outstanding as was the service from all the staff. As a customer service trainer for many years I cannot recommend this inn highly enough. I will be back!

Was perfect for the use we needed. Spent a day in Bicester village, hotel is 2 mins from the shopping village. Very nice inside and was a great place to relax after shopping.
Only bad part is having to pay for parking.

Outstanding
GGuest UserUnique food, impeccable service! I attended a large dinner in the ballroom. The chandeliers and lighting in the room created a beautiful atmosphere. The servers were kind and attentive. Main course was a unique aubergine dish - something out of the ordinary - and it was wonderfully prepared. I’ve eaten at The Alice for dinner as well as tea, and now I know that banquets are as delicious as the restaurant.
GGuest UserI use many different hotels on a monthly basis however this was my first visit at this hotel. I want to congratulate the team at holiday inn Oxford as I had an enjoyable stay and everything was clean and tidy. I was greeted with a warm welcome and although the hotel was busy the staff were very accommodating. The bar staff were very friendly but I would like to especially mention Lauren who served me with a smile and was very efficient considering how busy the bar was. Thank you for an enjoyable experience and I hope to return soon (14/10/22)
GGuest Uservery nice boutique hotel with a good bar and restaurant below. The room nice, clean, minimalist but good furniture and decent shower. Only one complaint - if you are not a fan of capsule coffee (and I am definitely not) and you just want a cup of tea, it's a pain to have to google the coffee machine to work out how to use it when just a simple kettle would have been fine. Just 4 for the location because of the chaos at the Botley road bridge which is going on till this time next year at least! Lovely breakfast menu with good service.
SShane.E1988I booked this hotel for a weekend get away foe me and my partner. It was an early birthday treat, i advised the hotel this upon booking and they were fantastic enough to put a banner up and left a few little goodies for her which was amazing, very nice touch. The hotel staff were friendly, polite and courteous. Would definitely look at booking again in the future if we are down that way again.
RRhiannonP1994Really lovely hotel! All staff were friendly and very helpful, our room was very clean when we arrived and we were really happy with the size and the decor! We loved the rooms being named after each Oxford college, really nice touch! Cleaners the next morning did a great job, but one downside, they didn’t take the towels when it is stated to leave them on floor if we want them washed, they were just left there. They also didn’t refill the toilet roll, we had to get this ourselves but the manager did apologise. There was a little cupboard outside reception with the essentials if you run out while reception was closed, which was great! Breakfast was okay, continental was probably better than the cooked as it’s just kept in warming pots which dried the food out a bit. We had to ask for more hash browns to which they did but had to cook them which took 15 minutes so we had to wait for them, so they didn’t really keep an eye on what was running out which let’s them down as they also run out of orange juice on both days and we had to request them. As a bit of a bookworm myself, a lovely touch was there’s books around the hotel for you to read, you can even take them home if you wish! Only a 5 minute drive or a 20 minute walk into town so very handy! Overall we really enjoyed our stay, thank you!
GGuest UserDuring the summer vacation, the prices are favorable, the rooms are all of the same standard size, and the prices vary depending on the view. Clean and hygienic, not big, but practical. I saw that the price in September is quite expensive, costing 3K.
It is very close to the Westgate Shopping Center in Oxford and is very convenient for all kinds of food. It is also very convenient to reach various colleges in Oxford within walking distance.
The breakfast at the hotel is very good. In addition to the various delicacies on display, you can also ask the waiter for some freshly made omelet egg rolls, which taste better than Hilton hotels. Produced by Marriott, the quality is assured.
WwangmaggieThere is a bus station next to the hotel. It is more convenient to go to oxford center. The room size is okay, with plenty of sunlight, clean, and warm. The view from the window is very good. I saw a little squirrel in the morning, and the children liked it very much. However, after the check-in time is 4 o'clock, the check-out time is 10 o'clock, which is really inconvenient. In addition, the room cleaning will only be provided if the stay is more than 5 consecutive days. We have not cleaned the room for three consecutive days. I think it is not very reasonable and needs to be improved. .
GGuest UserWe stayed just one night to meet family members for dinner in Oxford.
It is very well located for the city cetre. Despite that, it is in a quiet location and we had a good night's rest in a small but comfortable room.
It lacks the range of facilites that you may want for a long stay. For example, it has no lounge, restaurant or lifts, which is the only reason I could not give 5 /5 for facilites. What facitlities is does have are good: in room tea and coffee making, television, radio and WiFi. Staff are friendly and helpful.
We came by car and used the Park and Ride system, which is excellent. Oxford bus services are good. The hotel is also only a short taxi ride from the station if you go by train.
The hotel was ideal for a short stay and we will use it again.
GGuest UserThe Location of the hotel is perfect for sight seeing and exploring Oxford you can easily get to most of the main attractions in less then a 5 mins walk. We stayed for 2 nights and only opted for the breakfast once personally I wouldn’t bother it was bad. Head to the covered market instead
JJUNGGood environment, location downtown, walking and shopping are hate convenient, front desk staff service is warm and thoughtful, heart-warming, reasonable price, clean and spacious room, is the first choice for the next trip to Oxford.
