Hotels Near Sa Pedrera in Palma de Mallorca

We stayed in Barcelo in Dominican Republic and we are really happy with the brand in general since then. We chose the Barcelo Illetas Albatros due to this experience and they didn't disappoint. Due to the low season, there were some small hiccups with the service we received but it was a comfortable stay after all. Here is a detailed evaluation of specifics: Welcome: We arrived around 8 p.m. and we were welcomed at the reception. The reception staff usually stays at the back and come out if you are waiting for service but overall they are quick and welcoming. There was no mention of My Barcelo benefits which made us think that the hotel is not paying attention to it at all. (e.g., there was no free water in the room). The room: The bed is really really comfortable. I would want that bed in my apartment. The room is also very clean with nice high quality towels. The mini bar is filled up but there was no mention of the pricing apart from the QR code. I thought the sweets were free and ate before I realised the pricing. Also the curtains in the room were a bit dirty and needs to be changed a bit more often. There were some issues regarding the room though. There was a garlic/toilet mixed smell coming from the bathroom after our 2nd night. The ventilation in the room wasn't great and the A/C was only heating and not cooling (due to winter season I guess). So we requested a room change. The hotel interiors: Really clean everywhere you go. It offers everything you would need on a city break or even a summer holiday (however we were there in winter season and couldn't use the outdoor pool or private beach). The private beach area could use some care since it is quite dangerous to walk around there with slippery rocks and stuff. Restaurant: The food is good and fresh. They have omelettes freshly made for you in the mornings and grills in the evenings. The salad buffet is a bit limited and the food gets redundant after 4 days+nights eating there but overall happy with the friendly service and healthy good quality food. Location: We rented a car to see around the island so the location wasn't a concern. But there isn't much to do if you don't have a car and it is winter season. The bus service to palma is quite frequent though. The parking is not free at the hotel but the nearby free car park just worked great if you don't mind climbing up the stairs from there to the hotel. Overall: Had a good stay. There are some minor hick-ups but we felt safe & clean

I genuinely can't understand what we were charged 560 EUR per night for. To start, we arrived at 8 a.m. and were told there were no available rooms. I understand that check-in officially begins at 3 p.m., but I've traveled extensively and stayed at various hotels worldwide where I was able to check in earlier. I'm not sure what determines this policy. Eventually, we were given a room around noon, though it was a different room type. Since we had traveled all night, we accepted this. Secondly, the breakfast... I’ve stayed at many 4- and 5-star hotels, and this was certainly not a 5-star breakfast. It wasn’t that much about the limited selection, but the quality. Everything tasted bland. From the oily scrambled eggs, oily omelet to the bruschettas drenched in oil, nothing was flavorful. It felt as though the hotel was cutting costs by serving basic buffet items like sliced carrots and beetroot, carrot cake, and inedible pastries. We came to celebrate my birthday. My husband asked the hotel manager for assistance in arranging a birthday surprise for me, such as flowers or a small cake (which he was, of course, willing to pay for). The reception mentioned that flowers will be problematic, but assured him they would come up with something. The next morning, nothing happened at breakfast, and nothing was delivered to our room throughout the day. It wasn’t until after we returned from dinner in the city that my husband briefly mentioned his disappointment to a staff member. Only then did they bring a cake from the kitchen, with the excuse that they had planned to deliver it late in the evening. But who eats cake at 11 p.m.? The room was stylish and nice, but the shower door design was poor, causing water to flood the dressing area each time we used it. The beach at the hotel is small and public. While the view is pleasant, there’s no privacy. I believe this is common for beaches in Mallorca. The pool would have been a good alternative, but the water was freezing throughout our stay, and we didn’t swim there once. The hotel claims it’s about 400 meters from the marina. However, this is only true if you take a narrow, dangerous path behind the hotel, along the edge of a cliff, and then another cliff and beach. The views are great, but the route is neither safe nor convenient. The other way is a 1.5 km walk up and down the streets. Taking a taxi is a better option. On our last evening, we asked for a packed breakfast since we were leaving early, before breakfast hours. Instead, food was delivered via room service but left outside in the hallway because we had a ”do not disturb” sign on. No one notified us, and we only discovered it as we were leaving. Had we known they would deliver the food to the room, or that room service was available before 8 a.m., I would have ordered a proper breakfast, not just apples and juice meant to take away. Our stay at the BQ Amfora was very pleasant. Check In was very efficient and quick, the room was clean and the beds comfy. We were on the ground floor, and found that it was perfectly suitable for a few days. My only complaint is that the air conditioning was not the best. It took a while to get up to speed and when it did, in the day it didn't keep the room too cool. We stayed breakfast only and the breakfast was a standard continental that you'd get in hotels all over Europe. Something that is out of their control is that the sun beds didn't actually see sun until 14:00. Not perfect, but for the rest of the afternoon and evening they were baked in sun.

A good four stars. Hotel close to the airport (taxi 14 euros, no ubers in Mallorca). I was lucky enough to have a terrace room (first floor room) where you walk from your balcony directly onto the terrace overlooking the pool. I reckon these rooms are best unless you're obsessed with a sea view in which case go above 5th floor. Hotel breakfast is good- lots of choice. Also an inexpensive cafe / bar on poolside with very friendly staff. The hotel was peaceful when we were there- slept well and beds pretty comfortable. Very very close to the beach- 3 mins walk - and then you're on the beachfront which has an almost unlimited abundance of restaurants, cafes and bars. One cautionary note about the restaurants nearby - be careful with the reviews many look to be inflated / fake so choose carefully. Lots of mini-supermarkets - the best within 5 mins walk is carrefour express.

Stayed for 6 days in an apartment type room with 2 and 5 year old children. I would like to visit again. good 1. It is true that there is a slope from the sea to the hotel, but it is a distance that even a 2-year-old child can walk. 5 minutes walk. 2. Stayed in room 776. The room was an apartment type with a kitchen and it was easy to live. The equipment is basically complete. If you tell the receptionist, they will give you a detergent and a sponge. Beach towels are rented with a deposit of 10 euros per sheet. If you want to change it, they will respond quickly. The deposit will be returned on the last day. No seasoning. 3. Dinner is a buffet with many items. 2 year olds are free and it was about 30 euros for 2 people. I felt that cospa was good. 4. A convenience store-like supermarket is next to it, 3 seconds on foot. 5. ALDI, a regular supermarket, is about 15 minutes away on foot. There are slopes and it was difficult for a 2-year-old to walk, but no problem for adults. 6. Marineland? 10 minutes by taxi to the small aquarium. If there are many people, it is more profitable than the local bus. It's a small aquarium, but there were dolphin and bird shows, and the children really enjoyed themselves. 7. I took a tour of the Palma Aquarium at the reception. This includes bus and ticket. This bus goes directly to the aquarium without going to a souvenir shop. The stay was long enough. 8. There were activities such as a children's dance program, and the children enjoyed themselves. 9. The nearby sea has a long beach and a little rocky area, so if you get tired of the beach, you can look for crabs and shellfish on the rocky area and have fun with your children. The beach in front of the hotel is long, and it was very nice to cycle on a rental bike that can hold 4 people. Rental bikes can be rented at the shop in front of the beach. bad 1. All cash payments in the hotel. There is an ATM inside the hotel, but it is a little inconvenient. It also charges a fee. 2. Depending on your tastes, I thought the breakfast was not worth the 22 euros. After all, my child ate bread, yogurt, and cereals, so I bought them at the supermarket next door and ate them in my room. 3. The airport shuttle bus often stayed at the hotel, but the receptionist would not tell me. The hotel can only call a taxi, and the bus should be checked and booked by yourself. I wanted to know at least the company name, but they didn't tell me. You must have seen the same bus company name hundreds of times (even I saw the same bus about 5 times. You should write down the name when you see the bus).The local bus to the airport is cheap, but the bus stop is ALDI direction. If you are an adult, you can walk with a suitcase, but if you have children, it will be difficult. A taxi to the airport is around €45 each way. 4. Affiliated tours are the worst. We booked a boat tour inside the cave. At 9:00, the time spent in the cave is only 1 hour and 20 minutes. After going around souvenir shops → jewelry shops, we finally arrive at the cave. Lost time is more than 1 hour. So 69 euros for 3 people is too expensive and I don't recommend it. The child is bored and bored. There are many tourists in the cave, and there is a long line to enter. This 1 hour and 20 minutes includes everything, so I was only in the cave for about 40 minutes. The boat that can be boarded inside the cave takes 2 minutes, but the waiting time is over 30 minutes, so it is physically impossible to get on in time for the tour bus meeting time. We recommend renting a car. This is the only bad thing this time.

We have just returned from a self catering holiday at this Hotel and found the facilities badly lacking. First of all the location is not what we expected. Supposed to have a sea view but that was restricted due to large trees right in front of most of the balcony. The shoreline contained a lot of litter. Self catering was difficult not even a teapot or sufficient cooking equipment. No oven so that obviously curtailed certain dishes. Be aware that whilst there are plenty of supermarkets they do not stock basics such as cereals or eggs. There is an Aldi some considerable distance away that we were able to use. Our TV didn’t work and a visit from an engineer sorted it until we switched it off and then it wouldn’t work again. We reported it only to be told we would have to change rooms. I eventually managed to get it working as it was tuned in to England rather than Spain. The location of the hotel is up a steep hill so anyone with walking problems would find it difficult to negotiate Especially if carrying groceries. We didn’t use any of the hotels facilities preferring to eat in the apartment despite the inadequate facilities. After all we had booked a self catering holiday !The beach is lovely quite busy with safe bathing. Good bus services to other areas. Use your debit card for a considerable discount. Would we stay there again probably not. Obviously whoever is in charge hadn’t thought it through. This was not a cheap holiday , the flight and room was in excess of £2500. We expected something better having been in Portugal earlier in the year for almost half the price. Sour grapes hardly. Just a warning to would be travellers.

At the arrival, we been offered discounted room upgrade that we accepted and we are so happy that we did! The 5th floor junior suite we got had amazing sea view, huge balcony and very big comfy bed. We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel but who wouldn't, friendly staff, excellent food at the restaurant, clean room... Only thing that we did not like and what is the reason we will never come back to Palma De Mallorca (this does not have anything to do with the hotel but must be mentioned) is that there is extremely strong bad smell (better say stink) of sewer in the sea water, you can not even lay on the beach as it is so strong. Someone say it is rotting seaweed (yeah, right), but we disagree since we visited so many similar destinations, have vacation home on the Vancouver Island and we know well how rotting seaweed smells, not even similar to this one, this is clearly sewage, probably treated to the some extent, released in the water. So, we ended up to cool down and swim in the hotel pool (that is, BTW, very nice), the whole purpose of our trip to Palma was to spend time on the beach and swim in the seawater, if we wanted to do all that in the pool we would stay at home (and save lots of $$$) since we have nice outdoor inground sized pool.

I’ve just returned from a five night solo trip at this hotel. The hotel was lovely, so modern but with really lovely touches. I arrived fairly late after a flight delay, there was an issue with my payment but Pablo was patient and understanding and I really appreciated that after a long day! All the staff I dealt with were polite and kind. Bus links to Palma and airport are very close by and reasonably priced. The beach is also very close along with many shops and restaurants. The pool area was great, plenty of sun beds and shades for everyone and a really chilled out vibe. The brunch offer was perfect, I was able to have breakfast and then pop back for something small over lunch. The room was also lovely, I stayed in a superior single room on the first floor. Often single rooms appear cramped but this was just perfect and the lovely big balcony overlooking the pool was a real treat. I would most definitely recommend the hotel and wouldn’t hesitate to return.

I have nothing to say about the hotel. The service facilities and environment are very good. The rooms are large and very clean. The balcony is very spacious and you can see the sea. The indoor spa is also great. Breakfast and dinner are all buffet with many kinds. If you have the chance to come to Mallorca again Ka will stay here again!

Everything was great. Very good value for money, the hotel looks modern but has become a little run down due to the number of holidaymakers. Right on the promenade. The Skybar is more than reasonable in terms of price and offers a wonderful view of the beach in Mallorca.
