Illusion Boutique "Near Beach"

The hotel is very comfortable and comfortable and is very comfortable. The hotel is in the middle of a medium or good hotel. You have to decide ... Pessim Wifi , without lift (3 floors per staircase with bags!), unprotected room door, metal curtains in bad condition, terriblely bad towels, dishwashed! Breakfast !!! A half square , in another hotel, please .. do not offer this service , play against them .. we prefer breakfast in another place ...MALISIMO! I wouldn't come back!!
The Reef Coco Beach Resort & Spa- Optional All Inclusive

The hotel is an older hotel. The location is great for access to the beach and walk around 5th Ave. The bartenders and the travel shop/scuba shop were great the hotel maintenance and front desk staff were not the best. We did have issues with our rooms and they were fixed eventually except the king room that we booked was not available and we had to share a double bed. Iit’s an older hotel with musty smells and stuck drawers. The pool closed early on a Saturday night (8pm) but the mariachi/karaoke can play until 11pm and the noise will carry into the room. The kelp on the beach is filled with sand fleas and we came home with over 100 sand flea bites between the 5 of us. The buffet was ok but not worth $45 per day per person.
Unic Design Hotel - 5th Avenue

Fair price, clean, extra friendly staff, ok continental breakfast in a very beautiful place (l'embasciata d'italia). We were afraid of the noise both from 5th ave and from the restaurant in the morning. I guess we were very tired everyday and had a wonderful night sleep. There was noise indeed from 5th ave but nothing extraordinary. Didn't even use earplugs (though I still recommend bringing good quality ones).

For the price the location and room were great. If you are expecting a 4 or 5 star hotel this is not the place. It is a 3 star at best. The rooms have large glass floor to ceiling windows looking into the rooms. There are pull down shades that need to be kept down the whole time unless you want people walking by to see what is in the room. The shades do a somewhat decent job of blocking out the light. The rooms were clean, but a little out dated. The rooms were very spacious. The bed was comfortable. The AC worked well. The water pressure was not great, but did the job. To turn on the lights they give you a card to place in the reader in the room. The pool looked nice, but we did not use it. The location was convenient to everything, but not right in the middle so the noise level was good. They had parking onsite which was great since parking on the street required payment. Would consider staying again as the price was very reasonable and we did not spend a lot of time in the room.
La Pasion Hotel Boutique by Bunik

This is a very nice small hotel with extraordinary service. We stay here every time we are in Playa del Carmen. You feel so comfortable in this place, that you really feel like home. This was our fifth time and we stayed for 8 days. The hotel is excellently located 5 minutes walk from the beach and two blocks from la Quinta Avenida, that is the heart of Playa del Carmen, full of restaurants, bars and cafes, but despite this, the hotel is very quiet and the environment is very relaxed. And this place is cheap when you consider the prices in Playa del Carmen. We strongly recommend it!
Hotel Coco Rio "City Center"

we stayed in one of the rooms with a balcony facing the street, very cozy hotel and we sat on the balcony every evening. the staff are incredibly nice, Jessica especially but everyone was very helpful. If you are going to a Rooftop bar/pool, we can recommend Be playa, 20 minutes walk to Punta Esmeralda or 4 minutes to the regular beach. We can also recomend: Eat at Don Sirloin and El Fogon, food and sometimes live band at Lost Tiki. A trip to Rio Secreto and cenote Azul. Boat tour to Isla mujeres and Isla Contoy (from Cancun). Have a great trip! A and K
