I had chosen this hotel due to price and location and was not disappointed. I'd been in touch with the hotel with a few questions before arriving and they were always quick and helpful with their replies - it included having a taxi waiting for me at the airport to take me to the hotel (as I'd read elsewhere it could be tricky to get taxis/bus form the airport). The level of service didn't stop there with the reception staff always on hand to help and answer any queries throughout my 3 night stay. My room overlooked the rear garden which was nice and quiet. The room was clean, comfortable and functional (not the height of luxury and had a weird little step up into the bathroom which could be an issue for some - but overall more than acceptable. Breakfast was nice with fresh, local, produce which was great to know but I did think it was a little overpriced for what was on offer - still delicious though and no real complaints. Before arrival I had advised them that I would be arriving in Poitiers at 10am but knew check in wasn't until 3pm so had asked if I could leave my cabin luggage with them while I explored the town before checking in, which they were fine with (I did the same when checking out at 11am then returning at 6pm for my bag before heading to the airport). I was thrilled to find that they had my room ready for me at 10am when I arrived (had not expected that at all) and it was great to have that extra flexibility/access to the room. I may well have just been lucky (so don't expect this to be the case for everyone) but it was typical of the service levels provided by the team. As mentioned, the location is great - close to plenty of restaurants, cafes and bars, and never had a problem finding my way around the town or back to the hotel.
