The small shop is surrounded by picturesque scenery, which is very enjoyable. The included dinner and breakfast are also quite exquisite and delicious, which is highly recommended. If I have the opportunity to go to Mt cook again, it will still be my first choice.

Spent two nights here as part of our honeymoon. Views are spectacular and service is even better! My husband and I got in late and missed dinner so they prepared a beautiful cheese platter for us ! Eco lodge so no kettle/fridge in the room but close by in the shared dining room.

We've just completed a 3 night stay in Lakestone Lodge. The staff were wonderful, they couldn't have been more warm, attentive or helpful. Great food, well presented. And spectacular location, directly across the lake from Mt Cook and in the middle of a dark skies area, perfect for nighttime star gazing. I hope we can return.

Just spent a terrific 24 hours with Mike and Anna at the Lakestone Lodge on Lake Pukaki. Very impressed. The views over the lake and across to Mount Cook are truly breathtaking. The lodge is intimate and cozy, yet modern and clean. 6 rooms, 12 guests max. Each room has a mind-blowing view. Two professionally trained chefs whip up excellent breakfasts and top-notch dinners. Best meal we have had in NZ. After, we sat around the fire pit, and then Mike was happy to show us the souther sky and teach us about the stars. Mountain bikes available for a ride. We get to go to a lot of cool places, and this is high on the list.

Wonderful retreat that lives up to any expectation. Location, accommodation, room view, food, service: everything is perfect. Kudos to the chef for the daily efforts to serve perfect dishes at breakfast ans dinner. Highly recommend the sunrise walk just behind the lodge.

We stayed here in the middle of winter and we were amazed at just how beautiful the surrounding countryside was even with the fog and frosts!! It's a raw and barren kind of beauty! The Lodge was also stunning and we were treated with beautiful views over the lake. The staff were all very warm and friendly with delicious food served at mealtimes. Every room has a stunning view of the lake! We really enjoyed our stay here. Thank you Lakestone Lodge for having us.
