Sports Illustrated Resorts Marina & Villas Cap Cana

Visiting the country for the first time was amazing. The culture, the food and the activities I had scheduled all Went well. However, I was visiting Sports Illustrated Villas and Resort for the first time and it was a bitter-sweet experience. From the time that I checked in I felt rushed to fill out documents that need my signature. I was visiting the resort on a promotion deal, and I was treated just as such. Meaning the room I booked suppose to have had two queen beds. I received a room with one king bed and a fold up twin bed. To make matters worse, they assigned me and my guest a room right across from a construction site that was 1,000 feet away. I had to be awaked on a Saturday morning at 7:00 am to construction vehicle rolling back and forth. I also called the front desk the same night when we checked in to let them know we had no face clothes in our suite. I called 3 additional times and still nothing. The following morning I still had nothing. I called and requested to speak to a manager at that point, they claim he was in a meeting. I had to contact the travel agency I booked through on a Saturday to tell them what was taking place. It seemed like after I reached out to my travel agency and spoke with the manager at the front desk, we were relocated to the”villa” side of the resort where service and accommodations were much better. The WiFi also went out for two days and the resort has no back up for these type of situations. When people would say that certain countries have a lower class, and upper class, I thought that was something of the pass. But, visiting Sports Illustrated Villas and Resorts in Punta Canta in 2024, definitely made me feel like because I visited the resort on a promotional deal I was suppose to receive the bare minimum. The food selection could have been better, and there is no entertainment at this resort. It was dry. So, I would not recommend for anyone to come here, because it wasn’t a good experience and I had to speak with the manager who I never spoke with because he was in a meeting for “24”, hours. It was frustrating that I didn’t get any results until speaking with my travel agency and the manager at the front desk. DON’T waste your time at the place…

We had an amazing time at the Sports Illustrated resort the staff Sopita Betem Gojito the bartender and all the other staff members were amazing the service was very good the food and drinks was great the place was very clean I will definitely recommend the all inclusive hotel to anyone who wants to go and have a very relaxing vacation
