Fantastic location with the beach literally yards from the reception. Security guards monitor the entrance which gives a feeling of security throughout your stay. We had a family room which I’m guessing are slightly less used and was adequate apart from the bath. The bath was a serious concern with there being jets, for presumably a whirlpool experience, however, in the UK these have been linked to Legionella in rooms that are not used daily so I insisted that neither my wife or daughter used the bath which they were both looking forward to, for the record, the shower head was clean of scale. The bed was adequate and the rest of the room was fine although the lighting could/should have been better. The restaurant was ok, the food was fairly mediocre but the wine was reasonable and the host, Jose, was brilliant - enthusiastic, professional and friendly. The bar was run by Carena (?) and she was also friendly and professional, definitely worth keeping! All in all, for the price, it was a reasonable stay with friendly, professional staff and a great location but I would urge the management to look at the bathroom issues as they do raise concerns.

We just got back from a multi-day family stay at this hotel. We had been on holidays in this area previously but this was our first time at S'Agaro Hotel. The hotel's location is amazing as it's just a few metres away from a lovely beach. The hotel and facilities are nice, clean and very well presented. The staff were all very polite and kind. The breakfast was good quality although a bit repetitive. The price for our say was substantially higher than other similar 4 star hotels in the same area. One good thing was that their rate was cancellable which is why we booked it in the end. If some of the other 4 star hotels in the area had offered cancellable rates, we would have probably gone for a slightly cheaper option than this hotel. The rooms a bit smaller than we hoped for but were adequate and clean. One of the big negatives is about the swimming pool. Although there's a large board stating what is and isn't allowed, this is not monitored by hotel staff and most of the rules are disregarded by guests. For example, eating and drinking in the sunlounges or keeping their dogs with them. More worryingly, plenty of people vaped and smoked in the sunlounges and not just tobacco, judging by the smell, stronger stuff too, which for a family hotel I found very poor. Although access to the hotel's area by car is heavily policed by security guards, accessing the hotel's pool on foot is not controlled at all so we regularly so random people walking in, swimming in the pool and then just leaving the premises without anyone challenging them. This was the case with both a group of local young back-packers and also a group of noisy French guys. None of them disturbed us directly, but I thought it was a bit off putting. In the age of social media, I assume people tell each other that this pool is widely open to anyone and people just use it without being guests at the hotel. We were travelling with children and all this made use feel a bit uneasy in the pool area. The gym is basic and limited in terms of equipment, specially weights. Another negative is with regards to food and drink in the room. We all know that anything from inside the mini-bar is chargeable. However, this is the first hotel I see where they place items like coffee capsules in a table in your room and then charges you for consuming them, at the end of your stay. Finally, I understand the hotel is dog friendly and guests are allowed them in their rooms, however, I wasn't happy to regularly see people taking their dogs to the swimming pool area (not in the water though) and also have them in the outdoor restaurant during breakfast time. In summary, nice hotel in great location, a bit overpriced and needs stronger pool access control policies.

What a lovely experience, hotel front of house were so helpful. The room was a little on the small side but the view was amazing, overlooking the pool and sea front, truly perfect. Clean and very friendly. Poolside snacks were so lovely and the gardens were beautiful. Such a lovely few days away. Would highly recommend this for a great getaway without Brits in Spain.

We really loved this hotel.. very friendly helpful staff very clean and quiet We visited in mid June so nice and quiet .Excellent location lovely resort.Quiet old fashioned feel not suitable for those wanting busy nightlife but perfect for us couple in late 50s Lovely sandy beach just across the little road and spacious well kept gardens and pool

This is a traditional and well maintained hotel with friendly and helpful staff located next to a sandy beach popular with surfers. During our visit in early March the hotel was full for the weekend followed by fewer guests during the week. What proved to be a problem was the evening meal! The half board option was, as a previous guest stated, from the menu del dia which had five main choices - we were staying 7 nights! So on the Friday arrival day we had the pork ribs and was going to have the cod the next day but both dishes apparently were finished on the second night - I couldn’t believe it! Pork ribs replaced with pork cheeks (apparently a Catalan specialty) - yuk! And the cod replaced likewise with an inferior fish option. So we turned to the a’la carte option which had a Catalan rather than a more European bias save the filet steak which I had on 3 nights as the other options were mainly Catalan fish dishes. We also had to opt for bar snack chicken bits on a couple of nights. Staff did try to help as much as possible but we will not return to this hotel.

We stayed there for a week. We absolutely loved it. Julia was amazing and kind when I asked to change a standard room to a sea view one. The first night we felt warm but the AC was turned off as the weather had changed but I called the reception and Susana promptly gave us a fun. Very helpful lady. Breakfast was absolutely amazing and staff all around the hotel was sweet and helpful. We will be back.

L'hôtel dispose d'un bon emplacement car en face la mer, l'extérieur et l'entrée sont très chics. Le petit déjeuner est standard, pour ma part, il manque des produits locaux de qualité. La literie (2 petits lits) est à revoir car les matelas ont tendance à glisser et sont très mous. Nous sommes tombés sur la saison des mariages (mois de Mai) avec musique en soirée dans l'hôtel voisin. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la promenade sur la côte jusqu'à San Feliu de Guixols et l'accès direct à la plage.

Sehr nettes familiäres Hotel in bevorzugter Lage, saubere moderne Zimmer, freundliches Personal im gesamten Komplex, frische mediterrane Küche bei HP, sehr gutes Frühstück, reservierte Parkmöglichkeit. Alles in allem sehr erholsam.

El hotel en si y la playa justo delante son lo mejor. Lo peor es lo siguiente: -Muchos clientes fumando en la piscina. Otros traen al perro a las hamacas, ladrando sin parar, etc. Ambas cosas van en contra de las normas que pone en el cartel en la piscina…Nadie del hotel dice nada! -Aparte de Toni, el resto del personal durante el desayuno no son ni atentos ni amables. Por no dar, no dan ni lo buenos dias. Pocas ganas de trabajar y no del nivel de un hotel de esta categoría. La selección de comida en el desayuno es más bien pobre. -En recepción, Cristina y Francesc super profesionales pero hay varias chichas muy inexpertas y sin suficientes conocimientos pera solucionar cosas muy básicas. No se si volveria al hotel.

Estuvimos el fin de semana del 6-7 de julio, unicamente una noche. El hotel está muy bien, pero tengo que informar que la recepción no es la más adecuada y deja bastante que desear. Nuestra habitación iba a estar lista a las 15h y nos indicaron que podíamos disfrutar de la piscina mientras esperabamos y que nos cambiaramos en los baños. Tuvimos que deshacer la maleta en el suelo delante de los ascensores para sacar los bañadores y la ropa, cambiarnos en el baño con personas entrando y saliendo.... al mismo tiempo que veíamos a gente que llegaba, nos miraba mientras esperaba al ascensor para subir a la habitación con sus maletas, de lo más desafortunado y humillante. Indicamos en recepción nuestro malestar por el trato recibido y nos dieron una habitación en ese momento. Porque no nos la dieron desde el primer momento??? Ellos sabrán.

Bonjour Nous avons marié notre fille dans ce superbe hôtel. La restauration est excellente et la qualité du service est 5*****. Merci au personnel qui nous a permis de bien profiter de l'événement. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir. A recommander !!!
