Most of the staff are not good and unfriendly

Super top hotel. Ontbijt en diner fantastisch. Bamboo roof top bar also very good. Faciliteiten are 5*****

The hotel is beautifully designed, with a swimming pool, blue sky and sea as standard. Many locals come here for vacation! The breakfast is rich in variety, the service staff is also very enthusiastic, the room is spacious and comfortable, I will come here a few more times next time to enjoy a few more days!

Awesome! The best hotel in the area without a doubt. Endless possibilities to eat. Different styles of food both inside the Hotel and right in front of it and of a high quality. The Hotel has five swimming pools, with drink services, Balinese bed, entertainment, etc. At night being able to have a cocktail with live music is a joy (and if you don't feel like it, practically nothing is heard from the room). We will return without a doubt.

Excellent hotel! To improve the choice at breakfast level for a 5 star

Spent a wonderful 4 day break with my best friend at this fabulous hotel and cannot rate it highly enough! Have been visiting Santa Susanna for many years and this hotel is by far the best in the area. We had a premium room with pool and sea view which was spacious, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The outside area with all the different pools to choose from is lovely with beautiful planting/greenery and you never have to worry about not finding a sun lounger at any time during the day as they are plentiful. The pool towel service is an added bonus. We stayed on half board basis - breakfast choice was very good and plenty of options for dinner, although sometimes the hot food wasn’t quite as hot as we’d have liked, but that’s just a tiny criticism. We had lunch at Ginger one day which was really lovely. The theatre bar was a nice place to be in the evening, with some fantastic live music and the bar staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. Abde was a stand-out member of staff for us…such a lovely guy and he knew exactly which wine we were drinking each night!! In fact, all the staff we came across in the hotel during our stay were great - very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Really didn’t want to leave the hotel at the end of our stay - will definitely be back next year! Thank you Atzavara!!

It could be a wonderful hotel if they focused more on customer service .The hotel itself has numerous facilities,adult only pool,kids,pool,rooftop pool, spa,and lots of bars,restaurants and our premier room was spacious and well laid out. However its the little things they could to make all the difference to the customer experience- they rely heavily on using QR codes so to have all the info on your phone ,but the basics like how to operate the air con, shower instructions to avoid scalding yourself,and a few more things on the hospitality tray which consisted of 2 sachets of coffee and 2 Teas which were never replenished during our 5 night stay ,but hey you do get a bottle of water everyday. The buffet breakfast has numerous choices which are freshly prepared and continualy topped up during breakfast Bamboo is the roof top bar and infinity pool with great views but don't lie down on a bean bag bed unless you want to pay €25:00 for the privilege, though you can sit and have a nice cocktail from the bar just check the price on the menu as it might not match what your charged. We also went to the spa and again it was a little underwhelming starting with the changing rooms 12 small lockers,1 shower and 1 toilet! Luckily it was not that busy the morning we went. It is on 2 floors top has small sauna,steam room hot&cold plung pool big enough just for 2,downstairs long swiming pool with intergrated jacuzzi hit a button on the wall and part of the pool has water jets,which then become the jacuzzi. Compared to the likes of Rockcliffe Hall this spa is poor for a 5 star hotel. So there are plus and minus the location is excellent with the train station 5 mins walk away ,and if you walk down passed reception out to the shops turn left down the avenue takes you to farmacie and start of the promenade Great little chaurtuse place just passed pharmacy. The pool layout and gardens are well kept and you get a pool towel card for fresh towel every day. Its a hit or miss with the staff like most customer service industries but I feel that in this case it is very much of a more gradest thing within staff and due to lack of training in NOT emphasising that customer care is the name of the game and what ultimately makes the difference between very good hotels and excellent hotels ATZ has the looks but not quite the substance to match

5 star iced coffees !!!???? Oh and make sure you pay for upgrade to pool view, otherwise you are in for a sleepless night and a rather miserable view! Don’t be fooled by beach front location, the train runs in front of it so you do have to find one of the rather unsavoury subways to get to it. Cafes a bars mostly owned by the same chain with same menus which the won’t vary from i.e. cheese and ham toastie - they can’t do just cheese Overall fine - but avoid if you are used to real 5 stars as this is definately not one!

A very nice hotel. Probably the best in the area, however compared to other 5 star hotels I’d rate this a 4. Rooms nice, modern and clean. Slippers, robes, hair dryer and a few other toiletries. No uk television. Apparently due to Brexit laws. Tea, coffee and fresh water daily. Breakfast was good, no complaints. Had evening meal once. Food was of a good standard but unless you plate up as soon as a dish came out it wasn’t hot. If you like your coffee then go into the coffee bar. Lovely outside area. We ate out every evening. El Cielo is a must. Food was delicious and very reasonable. Tried a few other places. Didn’t find anything very authentic, however we got a taxi to Pineda de Mar one evening. 10 mins in a taxi. We are at the chicken and fish grill. Lovely restaurant and food really good. The pool areas were beautiful at the hotel. No leaving towels out . The pools were a tad on the cold side but once in a welcoming cool down from the heat. G & T 14 euros, wine 5 euros. Plenty of smoking areas if you are a smoker. A very lively hotel especially of an evening. The area is just mainly hotels so not that pretty. Overall a great hotel, with lovely staff.

We had a really lovely stay at the Atzavara. The hotel itself is beautiful and in my opinion, the best hotel in the area (and the only 5* we saw). The hotel celebrated its 2nd birthday whilst we were out there and they put out cakes and Cava for guests to enjoy. One of the many nice touches this hotel offered. They also provide complimentary water in your room every day and provide you with a bottle for your journey to the airport. They offer table service around the pool and have live performances every evening in one of the bars. There are also a number of restaurants to choose from. We had dinner twice in the rooftop restaurant ‘Bamboo Club’, and the food, service and views were amazing. The rooftop is only open on weekends but provides a lovely relaxed environment. Ginger by the pool also provided good options (I’d recommend the pizza) and the breakfast buffet offered a good variety. All the staff were friendly, welcoming and professional. We would like to personally thanks Abde in the Posidonia bar for looking after us, especially when I couldn’t make my mind up about which wine to go for! He was very patient in helping me choose and nothing was too much trouble. The area itself was not really our cup of tea as no where compared to the standard of the Atzavara. Also, beware of the airport taxis. They seem to make the prices up as they go along so make sure you agree a price in advance. The area is well connected to Barcelona by train but we decided to hire bikes and cycle over to Lloret de Mar through Banes. I would recommend this as a good way to see the area but suggest you go with the e-bikes as there are lots of hills to navigate! Overall we had a lovely time away and would thoroughly recommend the Atzavara hotel for those looking for a relaxed holiday with a bit of class! Amy and Craig

Hemos pasado una comida tranquila, relajada, deliciosa y con excelente servicio (Tarek, David, Enya y Badia) We had been wanting to try this place for a while and we were NOT disappointed. Highly recommend. We need to come try a different set lunch menu next time

Nice complex BUT no 5 stars AND no 5 stars guest. Mostly budget tourist with probably travel packets from cheap travel agency’s. Very hard beds , only a hard matras on a plank. Towels ! Also in this hotel towel laying by the pool on the sunbeds. Hotel does nothing about it. Even own towels on the chairs because the hotel towels are from 10 o’clock. People also keep the hotel towels to lay them in the early morning. Simple people and not 5 star this. Breakfast is good BUT very busy. Lots of people. Standing in line to enter. Very busy and loud in breakfast space. So nice looking complex but really NO 5 star. Surrounding is nothing. As if it’s the 80’s.

Hotel was amazing food and everything ! Best hotel on the entire road with amazing facilities. Ruben from reception was especially excellent and made our stay 10/10 ! He made sure every day was great for us and also a lady in the seated Resturant I’ve forgotten her name but she was a star, she always remembered us and my mum was very fond of her ! Will definitely return

Santa Susanna is in my opinion nothing to write home about, but this hotel is. Fairly new, very clean, spacious, airy. Several swimming pools in a lush garden area. However, my main positive is the food. I am unfortunately a difficult guest since I am allergic to gluten and dairy and usually miss out on the dining aspect of holidays. This hotels has the most wonderful buffets where everything is labeled. Most hot items are grilled or lightly fried in olive oil. No butter or creamy sauces. The gluten-free corner on the breakfast buffet is to die for (dairy-free chocolate covered gluten-free pastries...). Those of you who have allergies will understand. This hotel is a gem!
