SpringHill Suites Savannah Downtown/Historic District

Historic Savannah
The hotel is located on the edge of the historic district, so it is a quick 10-15 minute walk to either River Street or even Forsyth Park. Even the standard suites are larger than most other similar properties. The beds were comfortable and the linens and towels were above average. All employees from the front desk to the breakfast servers and cleaning staff were very pleasant and friendly. Rated lower in the facility category as the outside landscaping by the sidewalks was **** filled and over grown. This really detracted from the exterior appearance. The fitness was large and has a good amount of cardio equipment but only had one, torn workout bench, no area/mats for core work and the hand weights were missing all 20lb and 25lb pairs. There should be other strength training options. The breakfast food options were presented in an attractive manner with good over all quality.

Historic Savannah
It is said to be the most historic hotel in Savannah. Once you enter the hotel, you can feel its classical elegance. The doorman is very enthusiastic and the front desk service is very attentive. We arrived too early, the room had not been sorted out, and we specially left our phone. We noticed that we had checked in when the room came out. In the lobby and other family procedures, I also specially brought free mineral water. The room is wooden and the furniture is old furniture. Have a strong sense of art. It is worthy of being a hotel in the city of Savannah with a strong artistic atmosphere.

As a Savannah local, we can’t say enough about the Desoto and its staff. We evacuated from the islands for Hurricane Ian and were fortunately granted a safe stay-cation in our beautiful city. We loved that the hotel was pet friendly so we could bring our sweet pup, Miss Lady, with us. She had a wonderful time as the staff and guests were most attentive. Our room was lovely and well appointed. The hotel itself is beautiful, has great onsite amenities, and frankly, you can’t beat its central location. Walk either direction along Bull Street and you are right where you want to be. Thank you Mitch, Becky, and all of the spectacular hospitality team at the Desoto. Highly recommend!

The location is perfect. We parked the car and walked everywhere. The husband and wife team who work there were a big part of the charm. The house is historical and has a warmth and charm that makes you feel you are in the old south. The breakfasts were delicious and they were very gracious about accommodating my gluten intolerance. My husband got to enjoy the evening parlour snacks of bread pudding and pineapple upside down cake. Thanks to the very talented on-site chef. The evening cocktail and hors d’oeuvres were a lovely touch. We partook both nights and had lovely conversations with the staff and other guests. We will be back in the future.

The rooms and the apartment were great. You couldn't have had a better location. Going to Trip.com was terrible. We were not given an access code even though it said the hotel has a reception. We had to walk to a coffee shop that had wifi to even open the booking and then call customer service which cost me €30 because I'm from the EU. Trip.com didn't give us any info.
Hampton Inn & Suites Savannah Historic District

I was so pleased with everything about the Hampton Inn & Suites in the Historic District in Savannah. It was so conveniently located. Easy in and out if the city. Close to The Grey and next to the trolley tour companies. But the biggest selling point to the hotel in my opinion is the public spaces. Beautiful lobby and dining room. Thank you,
