Glad Hotel Mapo Reviews

Thanks to Ms.Luna for great service and providing us tow glasses of wine for birthday celebration. One disadvantage thing of this hotel is the check-in time which is so late (3 pm) and they never allow for early check-in for free. I have visited Seoul many times, lot of hotels in Seoul allow early check-in if there is a room available.

Room is good and big enough, location is very convenient for me to have food and drinks. 1 min to the station.

Conveniently located at Gongdeok Station exit 8 & 9, 7-11 convenience store at Lobby floor. Has modern, spacious and clean rooms with self check in and out options available 24/7 - Awesome! Will def return. Hotel guests also enjoy 15% discount at Tous Les Jous cafe opposite

This has been the third time to stay with this hotel. Booked 2 rooms for group of 5. Clean and convenient, good for travel. Definitely back again.

Hotel is just right next to the station, and can take direct metro to airport which is very convenient. It’s also easy to get to other places at this location like Hongdae, Myeongdong and Yeouido.

Very close to public transit you can directly enter two subway exits depending where you enter and exit the hotel from. Specifically it is easily accessible to the airport subway line without having to transfer so it’s a straight shot to and from the airport. It’s also very close to major tourist attractions and there’s a lot of great food options nearby. Noise wise you’ll hear the standard emergency vehicle if there is one that passes by but during my stay I may have only heard 1 or 2 and there weren’t any issues with general road noise compared with other hotels. The room itself was very comfortable and clean. There are wear and tear marks but that’s expected. There’s a convenience store in the lobby of the hotel which is not on the ground floor so just a heads up for anyone trying to look for a 7-11 on the first floor. It’s not there and you’ll need to take the elevator up. If you need to convert cash, there are machines at the hotel lobby where you can do so but I didn’t use them and can’t say they provide better rates than the airport or local banks outside. Check in and check out process in general were great and straightforward. I didn’t try the food options provided by the hotel but they seemed decent enough. I actually wanted to try out their bar but it was reserved for a private event the night I was interested in going which was too bad but there are so many options outside the hotel I am not taking away any points for this. The hotel does its best to be eco friendly which was appreciated. I would’ve liked an easier and accessible amenity basket in case I needed something extra. The 11AM checkout time was also much appreciated. It allowed me to have time to sleep in but also time to grab a local bite and still come back to shower or do any last minute packing if needed. My stay here was way above my expectations and if I need to stay in this area again, I will return to this specific hotel.

Good location. Would be great if shower cap can be provided. For families, if a stool can be provided to that toddlers can use the wash basin easier.

The room is spacious, clean, and well equipped. Most hotels in South Korea do not provide toothbrush. The reception is very friendly and helpful. Lobby and 7-eleven is located at level 9. The hotel is located right in front of exit 9 of Gongdoek metro station. Surrounding also have many restaurants and convenient stores. Also near Han Gang River, if you want to have picnic there.

Good hotel , convenient to go to anywhere and shopping center included of bus station and subway station. Available 7/11 inside hotel

The hotel is VERY conveniently located just right outside exit 9 of the Gong Deok station. You can see the hotel name while taking l the escalator up. This is a PLUS point as Seoul is a lot of walking around. The room is new, clean and comfortable. The bathroom is spacious too, and water is strong and hot (good for cold weather!!). The hotel staffs are very friendly and helpful. The counter staff Mason is professional and nice. Ethan was also very helpful, he helped to call a taxi and waited with us in the cold weather on the street. Definitely will come back again next time!!

Very convenient location (directly accessible from the subway station and 3 mins from bus stop). What bothers me was the elevator...each elevator has its own button, very inefficient when trying to get downstairs during the peak time..
