Novotel accommodation in Seoul

The hotel is conveniently located near Yongsan Station, just a short walk across the skybridge. With a mall right next to Yongsan Station, dining and other amenities are readily available. The only downside is that the immediate surroundings of the hotel can feel a bit desolate, and after the mall closes in the evening, finding a place to buy even a drink can be difficult.

Hotel location is great and the early rate I got makes it worth it. However if you have to pay above $250 then maybe you should reconsider. Hotel went through renovations in 2017 but it seems the lower floors were untouched. The fridge was in working condition but it looked like it needed dry ice to work as a fridge. Only the toilet bowl got the upgrades and the rest looked like they went for vintage finishing. The doormen and cleaners were the best and the check in staffs were directly opposite. Requested early check in if possible and was told there’s different tier of topup to go for and even at 2pm, I still had to pay if i don’t wish to wait till 3pm. I guess money is above customers’ experience. I don’t usually stay at Novotel but maybe this is the norm? Then again if I want to pay extra money, I will move to a newer and better brand.

My stay at Novotel Dongdaemun was fantastic. The location is very tourist-friendly, with plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby, making it easy to get around without detours. The room was modern and clean, and felt more spacious than other hotels in the same price range. Check-in and check-out were efficient. It was a comfortable and reassuring choice for my Seoul trip, and I'd definitely choose it again next time.

Location: The hotel is right next to Yongsan Station, making it super convenient for getting around by subway or bus. Service: The front desk staff were really friendly and helped us switch to a room with a view of the Han River, and the night view of the Han River was absolutely stunning. Amenities: The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed. We had a very comfortable stay. We're planning to book this hotel again next time.
