This hotel is fantastic, offering numerous complimentary perks like a daily refillable minibar, free welcome cocktails, and a tea set. Its location is excellent, with Nanjing Pedestrian Street and People's Park just a short walk away. The hotel room is big with an exceptionally huge bathroom. We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel!

Disappointed by my stay. I chose a this hotel in order to have at least an almost perfect stay experience but I am disappointed. Chose another hotel nearby the next day After a long flight, upon arrival in the room no liquid body soap upon arrival, informed the front desk and they said they would send someone. (Used shampoo instead and went for a meeting) Upon returning tired, soap was not filled up unfortunately. Had to call front desk again. Their junior suite photos on the site didn't match the room. Some things were different. They should upgrade the photos. The AC is not strong enough. Location is good. That's what I enjoyed

This is the first time came to Shanghai. The room of Ji Hotel is bigger and comfortable (This is a good thing). A room is clean.The facility is good but there are no safe and refrigerator. I have some problems with the reception in the front who is a man talking me on day1 at there should be improving your personality and service.When you talk with customer should be polite a little. I can speak Chinese a little bit doesn’t mean i can listen you all of sentences. I have 2 booking on trip.com. I just wanna know should have to change to room or not ! But why you said 没有订单就没房间了。Hayy guys. I have booking already. But you hadn't even look at my booking before . I just talk with another receptionist about my question. It’s none of your business. However the house keeper is so friendly and kindness . She made my day happier .

the hosts are wonderful, we can see how they love the hotel and treat all guests very well, they offer water, fruit, help with location and everything tourists need to know. the rooms are clean and renovated. The location of the hotel is very good, close to several restaurants and we were able to walk to the river (bund). We really enjoyed our stay. We have already traveled to several countries and hotels, but this one was really different because it was very welcoming.

Front desk is friendly and accommodating. Room was lovely, and very clean. The best thing about this room was the location. It's just down the street from the People's Park, a few museums, Nanjing Road, and plenty of eats. Easy to take a bus to the Bund. Would come again for the comfortable stay and the location.

Wonderful experience with Elong, the location was very convenient and easily accessible via train / didi. The staffs are friendly too and they will checked with us if everything is ok during our stay there. Requested for room with view of the Nanjing pedestrian street and it was fulfil. Room was clean and very comfortable stay. Breakfast was good too. Will definitely stay here again during my next visit to Shanghai!

This was my first stay in hotel Chalet. The best things are location, cleanliness, interesting breakfast. They might improve wifi as in my room 8509 was working really slowly or not at all. The staff is not the best in English or don’t talk at all, but they use translators and always are willing to help. I still give a 5star review as i liked my stay.

Breakfast is good including local and continental options. Location is excellent. Close to all major attractions .lots of local restaurants, Family mart and Lawson nearby. Room size and daily house keeping is perfect. Laundry room available with washing machines and dryers and open for all. Front desk is very efficient, helpful and can speak English.

This hotel is my least favorite after travelling around china for 10 months. Although the location is pretty nice, but other points I would give it a minus. As we had two stays at this hotel (we went to another city for one night), I'm going to review it in two posts with the same content. Room interior: 3/10 - I'm so glad that I stayed at this hotel with my closest friend, and not family. It would be so awkward if I were to take a bath and my parents can see me through the glass. Yes it's not that clear, but you will definitely see each other's body. We had to turn back when we took a shower, and it's super uncomfortable. You also have to hang your clothes and towel outside the shower room door as well - The control button panel is very confusing. I don't mind most of it but the 'open the door' button. I find it's very dangerous when I just want to turn off all lights but open the door instead - Soundproofing was not that good. As we stayed at lobby floor, we always heard - The room interior on my second stay was very poor. It's smaller than the first and the window was super small like there's none. Amenities 3/10 - There is nothing such 'smart toilet'. It's very normal, so I'm pretty disappointed cuz it's one criteria I chose this hotel (my friend came from japan, and I especially chose this for her) - No bathrobe as listed (again, for my friend, she usually uses bathrobe as pajamas in japan and didn't take pajamas with her on this trip. We had a busy time finding new pajamas) - No soft drinks as listed - No guest laundry as listed Cleanliness: standard 10/10 (just look vintage, but no dusts) Luggage storage SAFETY: 3/10 I don't mind when we had to take our luggage to the storeroom by ourselves, but no one cared when we took them back. They didn't pay attention on which bags I took at all. We can just give them our luggage storage tag and go to take ours directly, without checking Front desk: 7/10 - the first stay was normal. They can speak some english. Their services was normal - On my second stay, the front desk guy who I didn't see during first stay was super super friendly and full of service mind. He was very nice and smiley while helping me register and helped me talking to the food delivery rider. The other was not bad. Location 9/10 - right on East Nanjing road - ~5 min walk to both east nanjing road and ppl square metros - It's a bit tiring to go back from the bund, but not that bad for people's in 20s

I’ve stayed at this hotel many times and probably will again, although I did report my room safe was broken a number of times and across a 5 night stay (I had 2 bookings and mentioned this problem in the review against the first booking as well) it was not fixed. It was an unusual blip in what is ordinarily a great experience at this hotel but I mention it as this amenity is very important to many travellers. I haven’t had this problem before - next time I will ask for a new room straight away. Hotel is very well priced for its location (near French concession area and the Bund), ordinary level of service, and while rooms aren’t super new/modern, they are generally well maintained and always clean.
