Premier Inn Southampton City Centre (West Quay)

It was clean room and air conditioning system was also perfect. But they need to fix problems like the mirror and ramp in the buttons. Furthermore, If you are concerning the noise from the next door, you would better select other choices.

Cold rooms, fan heating very mediocre never warmed up, shower looked new but was leaking everywhere so no power on the water flow. Only 1 towel in the bathroom despite being 2 of us, requested another and it never turned up. Auto check in didn't work, ask at the bar to check us in and they gave me a disabled room despite not being disabled or showing any disability.

No car park, no check in desk, no room for a meal, cockroach in room. I have stayed in dozens of premier inn’s up and down the country and this is bar far the worst experience. Thank God we only stayed there one night whilst waiting to get on a cruise ship.

Upon checking in I was greeted with a self service machine and staff that refused to check me in themselves, I encountered some issues with the self checkout machine and the staff half heartedly helped but walked away before the process was complete and I had to call them back over again to finish. Upon entering the room I was placed at the front of the hotel and the traffic noise was very heavy and I could hear it in the room despite the windows being closed. I went back to reception to ask to move rooms and was told no, I asked for earplugs and again was just told no. The staff did not care that I was in a noisy room, had no interest in helping me to resolve the problem.

Lovely clean hotel. Perfectly located in the centre of the city. Friendly accommodating staff. Loads of parking in the West Quay multi story carpark right next door. The room has everything needed. Loved the shower and lighting and had a perfect sleep on a very comfortable bed.

I travel around a lot with work using premier inn hotels and I can honestly say here has been my best experience with premier inn. Check inn was speedy which is a relief after a long journey following a days work, staff at reception were friendly. Food was very good and served hot and isn’t a long wait which In past experiences in other locations takes ages and served cold. The restaurant has a very nice setting with helpful and kind staff.Rooms were very clean and modern. All round good experience.
