Stanley Lakeside Spa Cabins

Classic style lake side cabin The lakeside cabin faces the man made lake. It is very secluded, old classic style and very nice. The spa is very good. We met the owners to get the keys for checkin and it was a good chat. Enjoyed the stay

Highly recommend! A great get away spot for family and kids, lots to explore and very comfortable cozy accomodation!!!

Cost cabin The cabin was cosy and in a peaceful location overlooking a lovely garden and lake. The manager was lovely and helpful. There were large Australia Salmon in the lake.

The cabin itself was cute and comfortable. We needed to do a little cleaning (including washing things up before cooking / eating), however it wasn't too bad. It was hot out at Stanley when we visited, but the breeze was lovely when we opened up all the doors and windows. There were so many tiny birds to watch and listen to (despite being so close to the busy main road). We loved being slightly out of Stanley. It was an awkward check-in process (needing to go inside the owner's house at dinner time to pay and get our room key), however we had no further need for assistance during our stay. With some health issues, this was a lovely, relaxing place to stay - if only in bed looking out the window at the view and wildlife.

The property was unique and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Would stay right away from this one. No one there at reception. Which was ok as we were told the day before where to find the key. As soon as we opened the room we were literally smacked in the face with the smell of mould. The property is aged and run down, after finding black mould over the bathroom blind and woodwork, we attempted to air the place out and go for a drive. Did not help that smell had impregnated everything. Not wanting to stay at this accommodation being asthmatic this could definitely be an issue. After talking to the owner about the issue found her rude and unhelpful. Eventually we managed to get the caretaker to come to the cabin and inspect it himself, he said he was a smoker and may not smell it but agreed it also smelt badly. We also showed him the mouldy blind. We contacted our booking agent who called the owner, who then denied any issues with the room. End of story, we left, out of pocket and had to find alternate accommodation at 5pm with a young child in tow. Very disappointed and I will be reporting this business to the hotels association. Save you money and health give this one a miss!
